I think its fairly new…read more I had put myself on their mailing list maybe a year ago so I had been keeping up with who was coming and taking the stage. Its not on the main standup circuit so it doesn't get some of the newer acts, but the other day I saw a couple of the newer acts making some noise lately taking the stage back to back. I reached out to a couple friends and we planned to make a night of it. It's right in the thick of the restaurants and bars of Mizner, so it was easy to have a bite and a drink and head over. The space is has multiple different rooms so that they can have multiple event at a time in different areas. It makes the common area feel like a office building somewhat. The venue we were pointed to was fine. Again, its for multiple type sof shows so it wasn't a "warm" comedy room which hurt the comedy a little. The first guy wasn't much, but the headliner had something. Her jokes were fine, her timing was solid. There isn't more than a couple venues up this way so we were glad to find out this one is fine.

There's no attendant at the front, so you head to the concession counter for your movie snacks and to have your tickets scanned. We sat in the back row, which does not have the in-seat ordering service. Also worth noting--those seats do not recline. You'll need to upgrade to the Lux if you want the reclining seats. The screen was crisp, the sound system was great, and the theater itself was really comfortable. What impressed me even more was seeing attendants waiting to clean the theater as soon as the movie ended. That seems to be few and far between nowadays! The women's restroom was also very clean--my last restroom experience at another fairly new theater was basically a horror movie of its own. Parking can be a little bit of a walk since the shopping center gets busy, so you may end up a few aisles away, but everything is still very walkable and it really wasn't a big deal. I live in Lake Worth, and after some not-so-great experiences at theaters closer to home, I would absolutely make the drive back to Deerfield Beach to enjoy a clean, comfortable theater again. It is a smaller space and feels like the perfect spot to rent out for a party, with fun lime green chairs that each include a table. The seats do not recline, but they have a rocking chair style and are incredibly soft and cushioned, even more comfortable than the standard seats we have used before. The screen size was just right for the room. The food was great. We ordered chicken tenders and hot dogs before heading to our seats. We saw Hoppers, which was such a fun movie. Definitely recommend! There is plenty of parking, along with great food and drink options, including alcoholic beverages.

My friend''s daughter, Dana was in the show as she is a comedianne. There were other comediennes in the show and I enjoyed the evening. You can bet general admission as there isn't a bad seat in the house! They do sell wine and beer ahead of the show! You can also enter a drawing to win tickets to another show! Support local!

We saw a few people leave because this one lady saved so many seats. We told the manager then they asked US to move to accommodate someone's else and then made a joke that "yeah you got to sit by people here" no joke lady. Also not a lot of leg room but you could purchase seats on the stage if you buy them early enough and you don't mind being ragged by the comic. They have drinks and it's not required that you have a minimum number. The entertainment was 4.5 stars. I like that they raise money for charity.

Plays of Wilton makes its home at The Foundry, a 54 seat black box theater that is wheelchair accessible. Since there are only 4 rows of seats and the theater is small and intimate, almost any seat in the main section is a good seat. The seats are next to each other, so people sit tightly in this small venue. There are some side seats sometimes, but I do not recommend, since the angle of vision to the stage is not the best. Out of all the seats in the main area, I find seat B7 to be the best. There's a pole next to it and an aisle on the other side, so this is the one seat that is almost "private". The plays are mostly LGBTQ+ themed and based. The one I went to see called 10 Naked Men was not all nude. Actors stayed clothed most of the time, but the title sure got people excited about the show....LOL.... Hunter's the nightclub was kind enough to donate red and white wine as well as water for the show, so these beverages were complementary throughout the play. There is limited parking in front and behind theater with some handicapped parking spaces. The theater opens one half hour prior to performance times. Performances are usually Wednesday through Sunday. Evening performances at 8 PM and matinees at 2 or 3 PM. As of 2024, the performances are usually : $35 General Reserved Seating $50 Premium 1st Row Seating $25 Side seating, when available

I have long admired Ronnie Larsen's work as a writer, director, and actor. Happy Ending deserved a…read moreNew York run. When I asked why he hadn't taken it there, he said the actors were "too demanding and difficult." I believed in the Foundry enough to personally contribute $5,000 in 2022. That same year, I brought him a play I had discovered from obscurity, then produced and directed in Los Angeles in 1997, which Encounters magazine named it one of the year's best theatrical experiences. Ronnie produced a staged reading at the Foundry where he allowed me to direct it. After the reading at the Foundry, he proclaimed to the audience that "It was the best staged reading in the history of his theatre." He then asked the audience whether he should produce it. The answer was an yes. He scheduled it for December 2023 and hired me to direct. When holiday conflicts cost me most of my cast, I asked in October for help recasting and for a meeting with the set designer. He cancelled the production, calling me "too demanding and difficult." The theatre has since announced Stray Dog Story, directed by Mr. Larsen. I hold no rights to that play, but the timing is disappointing and poor business practice as he promised that he would support me if I produced it elsewhere. This support did not happen. Theft? No. Hurtful and mean spirited? In my opinion yes. I remain grateful for the work I saw at the Foundry. Mr. Larsen which would give me pause if I were ever to decide to donate to a Theatre company again

Once we entered the theater I was overwhelmed by the smell of buttery popcorn. Wine, chocolates & snacks are also for sale. I enjoyed "Ethan Bloom" the independent film presented at the Movies of Delray. For $8 I had a fabulous evening here. This sweet coming of age film had an All-Star cast that was both funny and profound. The film touched on themes of grief, spiritual identity, first love & belief that faith and love can transcend religious differences. I enjoyed the background information presented by the director & producer Herschel Faber. Afterwards he answered many questions from the audience. I used to enjoy film clubs & events in my NYC independent theater; the Movies of Delray are truly a gem here!

It definitely brought back some camp memories! The movie theater is no-frills, so don't expect anything fancy--just sit back, enjoy the flick, and have fun. Aside from the mass selection of delectable eateries and fun bars that surround the exhibits, the entertainment consists of two people dressed in costumes standing on stilts while dancing to music in the crowd. Lots of free parking in the garage but beware of the crowded slow moving non air conditioned elevators.

The anticipation for the iconic interactive film Rocky Horror Picture Show on halloween night was…read moreoverwhelming. Free parking is provided in the Gateway Shopping Center with a two minute walk at which time we got a chance to gaze at the customers in creepy costumes and some were decked out in Rocky Horror theme. The 75 year old Gateway theatre still has it's name above the illuminated movie marquee, although has recently been sold and operates under the Paradigm Cinema banner. The interior lobby still has that 1950s ambiance with the vintage framed poster of the Rocky Horror red lips hanging on the center wall to excite every customer. For $5.00, the staff provided movie prop bags of popcorn, squirt guns, party hats, elastic glove, party popper, and a sheet of newspaper (these are all items that encourage the guests to be interactive during the film). A verbal disclaimer was issued at the beginning of the night alerting everyone that if you are easily offended and in fear of getting wet then "Get the F**k out !" This alone confirmed that this was going to be a night to remember. The sold out theatre has general seating with a large stage in front of the screen and recently upgraded with plush recliner seating. The first thirty minutes was dedicated to teach the Rocky Horror virgins the rules of the night including a costume contest. The underrated culturally integrated film was entertaining with the ability to throw popcorn, squirt people with water and the added motivation to dance in the aisles while methodically singing along to the freaky sexually descriptive songs in the film. Perfect theatre to host this legendary event.

Paid $10 online for tickets but it was first come first serve to find seating. We came in early so found seating up front near the stage and loved the new leather recliner seats. So much fun singing along with the interactive movie and actually was picking popcorn out of my wet hair. The Rocky show was a special event but I will come back to this theatre to watch the new Springsteen movie.
