Toxic Burger on a gluten-free bun
    Vik S.

Toxic in S. Eugene has been killing it recently. My go-to Toxic cheeseburger on a GF bun has been consistently good. Recently I saw a couple new items, including a black-bean burger. I decided to try that out and it absolutely hit the spot. It was hearty, nicely constructed and well-dressed. I definitely appreciated the pickles. Great flavors overall. I also got a side of cole slaw ($3) which was also very enjoyable. And I am still amazed how good the gluten-free bun is, even holding up well for leftovers. Also the fries have been much better seasoned on recent trips, which is one thing I found lacking before, so it's nice to see that improvement. I'll keep coming back for more!

I love, love, love Toxic! This was my first time visiting this location, and it is a bit different, but still equally amazing. I'm not even going to lie, I was fully expecting to hate this location. Because they don't have the traditional boneless wings, or my two favorite sauces. My husband and I decided on burgers and fries, and their version of boneless wings, which are basically chicken nuggets. I have my go-to sauces at the River Road location, which is raspberry habanero and apricot chipotle. Since they didn't have those, what do I go for? I picked the pineapple jerk sauce, not sure what to expect. But the employee taking our order explained it to me, and recommended it highly. He also said if I absolutely hated it, he'd let me pick a difference sauce. So I was willing to give it a try. I ordered my burger with extra pickles, and it came with extra pickles! I love it when someone tells me they made what I requested just the way they like it. That usually means it'll be perfect, and this definitely happened here. My burger was a beautiful medium, not over cooked, tons of pickles, and was absolutely delicious. I ended up loving the pineapple jerk sauce too. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and comfortable with two huge TVs. The thing that'll bring me back to this location was not just the food, but the customer service. I was so appreciative of the employee who took our order and cooked our food to take the time to explain things and answer questions. I'll definitely be back.

Excellent quality food, and not much more cost than McD's; plus Toxic, in spite of its name, won't make you sick! For real, this place makes some delicious food. My daughter likes the 'Intoxicator', which is slightly more expensive, but will definitely fill you up! She's a tiny woman with a Big appetite, so if she's full, you know it's substantial. The Mushroom-Swiss burger was amazing, and the 2 piece Halibut and Chips/Fries was perfect, as was the homemade tartar sauce that went with it. I love halibut, and this was perfect: good cut, fresh and firm. The ambiance in the Southtown location is very sports (Ducks) oriented, and this would be a great place to gather for Game Day: Eat, Drink, and Go Ducks! The rest of the time, just eat, drink and Enjoy.

The blackberry milkshake is AMAZING!!! This drink alone gets 5 stars. The parmesan fries were also super good. The burgers are similar to in n out. I am looking forward to trying the vegetarian burger next time I go. I also thought it was cute they stamped the top of the burger buns with the business logo. It was a cute touch.

Toxic does fast food at high quality, with great options for the allergy-conscious and those with dietary restrictions. (Vegetarians like me know how rare it is to get a good veggie patty, and Toxic's holds up!) Manager Kevin is not only a grill master but also friendly, hardworking, and really cares about both staff and customers. I love working here and feel lucky to get to eat this delicious food so often! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for comfort food with better ingredients. Check out the savory garlic parmesan fries or creamy blackberry milkshake.

Cashier worker had a big smile and seemed friendly. I was really excited to try their burgers because they are grass fed patties and look very delicious and juicy from the pictures. I particularly enjoy mushroom and Swiss burgers because I feel like they're so hard to fine. Yeah they are such an amazing combination on a burger. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger without mustard. It was $7.75 for just the burger. Why was this burger so disappointing? A few points: - the beef patty (who should be star of the show) was so thin and flat!!, it was bland and sad. - Mayo and mustard on a mushroom and Swiss burger? The Mayo was fine. But to have a mushroom garlic sauce would have made it so much closer to an actual mushroom & Swiss - not enough grilled onions or mushrooms - not sure if Toxic Burgers always have crispy cheese? but mine tasted like old grill. With the burger, it really left so much to be desired because I felt I was mainly eating toasted bread with hints of mushrooms. I didn't really savor the beef and could just taste burnt grill cheese. All in all, nothing like the pictures. I also had sweet potato fries (about $5 for a small). They were yummy, salted enough, and very crispy. I wish the sizes could be different considering the cost. Toxic burger says they're 99% gluten free and uses rice bran oil. Overall, sadly I won't be coming back for burgers, that's for sure.. One day I might try their milkshakes and maybe their wings. Just maybe.

However, the crust was way too thin toward the middle of the pizza to even hold the toppings. It just flopped over. It was maybe a mm thick?? Toward the outer half of the circle, the dough was good consistency and quite delicious. The arugula salad was nice. With some orange slices and lots of cubes of beets, pickled red onions and sunflower seeds. Too much oil in the lemon vinaigrette IMO since it all tasted a bit oily. The beers were excellent. Service good (order at counter and they will bring it to you). Parking in the neighborhood, a bit sketchy.

The brewery itself is also great as they have lots of inside seating options and a pretty big outdoor patio. The beer was great too, we found out about Hop Valley because we were in town for the Eugene Marathon and they're one of the sponsors. The only downfall was the food service, we ordered a simple salads and chicken strips with fries and it took about an hour to get our food. We came Sunday afternoon after the marathon and it wasn't too busy here. Outside had about 3 tables either partied of 5 plus people. You would t think starter/appetizer could take that long. While we were still waiting for our food we heard the table next to us ask the food runner what's taking so long & he just replied "the food doesn't come out in any particular order."

They had a bunch of outdoor seating and bike parking, but it was too cold that day on our visit. The interior really leans into their brand with everything in bright green. There's a bar with seating, tables, a merchandise shop, and lots of packaged beer to take to go. The staff were welcoming. They came to the table to take our orders, most of us got flights and burgers. The food was better than the beer to be honest, however, all the beers were good too. If you're a beer fan, this is one of those must-stop places.
