Brought my vehicle in for 70,000 mile maintenance. I have always taken the truck to the dealership for maintenance but the appointment schedule is booked a month and half out it seams like. After 30 minutes into the oil change and tire rotation, the advisor approached me and said they busted two bolts taking the front skid plate off. He indicated they could fix it for 160 dollars. Never had an issue with the dealership prior to this but Toy Car Care said the person the installed the bolts over tighten them. Needless to say I won't be going back. Apparently they play the blame game and charge the customer for their mistake. 100 dollars for an oil change and tire rotation then charge the customer 160 for breaking two bolts. I've been a mechanic for 18 years and would never charge someone for something I messed up. read more

They have never tried to upsell me, trick me, or try to fix something that doesn't need fixing. The price is good, appointments are quick, etc. There is nothing bad to say about this place. More like Toy - car- Don't Care!! Toy-Car-Care tried to charge me $49.99 to drive my car to diagnose a problem which u didn't hear during the 12 miles u drove it. Toy-Car-Care called ME and asked ME (to do their job) to drive it while your tech listened. He heard it 8-10 times in three miles (while I drove). He exclaimed over and over again that "If I don't hear it CONSTANTLY IN THE GARAGE IT CANT BE DIAGNOSED". Why didn't u say that before I took off time to drive with you...and before u charged me for the drive on my gas dime?? The charges were only reversed when I called and insisted "I'm not paying for something which hasn't been diagnosed".... AND I'm especially not paying for something which I had to come in and do YOUR job. ...and if there is no way the noise can be duplicated in a garage (incline), why would u send your customers on a drive????? I'm not one to complain. This is my very first complaint.... and I've often enjoyed my experience at this company but today was horrible... I was referred to as "The lady said....." in a derogatory manner when the tech was referring to me. I have a name...and its Mrs. Or Ms. He also kept saying I was "... never charged the $49..."when clearly I was, and I had to call in to have the charges reversed. The tech was arguing with me about it only because he didn't see current charges for it. He didn't know my efforts to reverse those charges prior to him looking at the invoice. That was a matter of miscommunication. What isn't a miscommunication is telling someone to drive a car when u know for a fact the noise can't be duplicated in a garage. Look we all have bad days, but "The guys" need to realize customers now have a way to express their opinions online about the service they recieved. I'm not going back. read more

After dealing with the upselling BS at Automation/Go it was great to try these guys. They are honest and give me a warning if I have something major coming up that I will need to budget for. I stick to the schedule of maintenance and (knock on wood) haven't had any problems with my car and I am at 110k. Dave Logan endorsements don't really matter to me because I know they can be bought. I recently purchased a used Land Cruiser from a private party and wanted to take it to a mechanic before agreeing to the sale to check it over. I used Toy Car Care because of their good reviews and their location, which was near the seller. They did an inspection on the car for a fair price in less than the amount of time I thought it would take, making sure to explain all of the results to me. I am now thinking of bringing my two Toyota's to them for service even though there are other places closer to my house because I was so impressed with their service. read more

Effin Epic! Amaze balls! Off the Charts!! *************** I hate car sht, it makes me anxious and one never knows how much of their arm and leg they will loose getting any type service. Well not today. I purchased a used Lexus and the 2nd owner did not leave service records nor was there any registered dealership visits in the national service registry. The car was cresting 60k miles and I knew it had to have a tune up just to get a base line of the cars health. I called Stevinson Lexus in Littleton for a price quote for a tune up and they offered three tiers of tune up with the least inexpensive tier at $1070. So the shopping began and thanks to Yelp reviews I found this place, Toy Car Care. Not only did TCC beat Stevinson Lexus pricing but they did above and beyond the standard and saved me $420 bucks. They also shared great news that the car still had power train warranty. Lastly they honored the 10% discount coupon even tho it expired December 2016 and gladly. Steve knew how nervous I was about this tune up. He knew the lack of service info this car had for the last year and he treated me with kindness, generosity and understanding. Most important to any customer, he listens with care and explains in detail what was done on the car. The customer service is classy, relaxed and calming. I've never been so thrilled to release funds to service my car ever. Steve, if you're reading this I cannot thank you enough for the peace of mind you provided. Now, I can enjoy my first Lexus with ease and comfort of a car finely tuned. I'll be seeing you in 5k miles. I've been using TCC to service my 2007 4Runner for the last 8 years but now I have to rethink my service and repair options. TCC provides absolutely NO options for shuttle service for getting to and from their facility and are completely unapologetic for this lack. Additionally they are more than a mile from the nearest bus stop. Recently after quoting me $2800 for a repair on my car I was told that I would have to incur the additional expense of a rental car since they would need my car for more than 1 day. If you live near TCC or have extra cars or extra money to spend on Uber or rentals, the service here is good. It's just not good enough for me to continue to using this business. read more

Our Tundra gear shift broke off in the drive thru at Good times after my Husband picked me up from the airport after dealing with My Uncles passing. We brought our Tundra to this place. We just moved to Colorado a few years ago. Had a great mechanic in California. We were nervous and we should have been. We dealt with Marshall who sounded more like a car salesman. He said he would call us to tell us how much. Didn't hear from him all day so My Husband called to find out if they even looked at our car yet. Marshall proceeded to tell us that when he was pulling our Tundra into the lot that the door handle inside broke off. He was laughing the whole time like he was a child who didn't know how to have a professional conversation. He than called us back to tell us it was going to cost us $160 for the door handle and another $520 to repair gear shift but they couldn't find 2 of the 4 bolts they needed and we were just going to have to be gentle with it. I thought it was a joke. We told him that we weren't going to pay for the door handle and we were concerned that they couldn't fix it properly. We asked to speak the the manager. Who then told us the same thing Marshall did. So we said never mind don't fix anything will pick it up in the morning. The next morning Marshall calls to tell us they will fix the door handle at no cost and that my Husband should try a salvage place for the bolts. Then proceeded to say we couldn't pick up the car until Friday. I get up at 4am to drive my Husband to work. He gets off work at 1:30 and literally works across the street from Toy care. I work until 8pm. My Husband has high anxiety and is on meds prescribed by a Dr. and also has high blood pressure. I decide to call Marshall to see if the Tundra we be ready by then 1:30 or 2 at the latest. He basically tells me he can't guarantee that. So I say how about we just forget you fixing the handle and he will just get the Truck. He says you can't get the truck because door panel is off. At this point I have a gut feeling that Marshall is not a good guy. So I call my work and explain that I am worried about my Husbands health dealing with this. I head to his work to pick him up 5 mins after talking to Marshall. My Husband works across the street from Toy care. I decide driving by to see if our Truck is visible. I walk into lot our Truck is sitting there with a new handle. I take a picture of it. Why? Because my father is an attorney and I used to work in a law office myself. I walk in and ask for our truck. The other guy says did they call you to tell you your truck is ready and I say no but I see it is ready and I just want my truck back. In all fairness the other guys next to Marshall is very polite. He looks at paperwork and says I'm going to have to let Marshall deal with it because I'm not sure what is going on. Marshall gets off phone. Doesn't acknowledge me.. so I head out to my truck. Some kid starts walking up laughing at me.. I ask why are you laughing. He turns around and heads back in. I head back in. The nice guy tells me Marshall is meeting me outside. We meet in front of the gate and Marshall starts stumbling around about why 15 mins after I called my truck is ready. In my opinion Marshall is an arrogant child who is trying to keep our truck there over the weekend to teach us a lesson. I sternly tell him I just want my Truck and I don't want to hear anything more from him. He turns around puffs up his chest at me and tells me to calm down! I never raised my voice or was rude. I was stern in that I just kept saying just give me our truck. I now step closer to him and told him I am not intimidated by him and to get my Truck. He says I am not intimidated by you either. First you break our door handle and admitted to it. Then try to rip us off by charging us $160 which Marshall said the part was $100. We found the part on the internet for $15. Then you tried to charge us $520 to fix our gear shift but minus 2 of the 4 bolts and just be gentle with it. It's a vehicle not fine China. Lives could be at risk. Marshall tried to rip us off and intimidate me by puffing up and getting in my face. Don't ever go here, especially if you are a female. I will be contacting AAA to let them know that theree AAA certification should not be backed by this company. Bad Karma Marshall! read more

Had some issues with my Highlander recently related to the battery and the key fobs. I spoke to Brett who then spoke to my husband to give him ideas to try, which didn't work. Then he gave my husband the name of a guy who might be able to help -- NOT an employee of Toy Car Care. The guy very much helped (and I'll be leaving a review for him as well as soon as my husband gives me his card!) and I now have my car back thankfully, and at a very reasonable cost. These guys could have charged me quite a bit to diagnose my vehicle and then repair it (like the dealership wanted to do) but instead they were looking out for my best interests. Kudos to Brett for such great customer service. So little brain damage once I found them. Because of this I'll be going to them anytime I have a problem with my car. That is how you treat customers. I needed some suspension diagnostic. I brought it to dealer they said shocks need replacing 2k. I had it evaluated for trade in they said shock tower mounts bad 700. Toy Car replaces sway bar bushings. It is great to get an honest opinion and reasonable repair. Customer service was excellent as well. They saved me a bunch of money. I will never take my Tundra anywhere but Toy Car Care. I've taken it to them twice. The first was for a timing belt replacement. Two Toyota dealers and another independent shop quoted me anywhere from $1,100 to $1,300 just to replace the timing belt, and nothing else. I saw Toy Car Care's timing belt special for $379.95, and that kind of made the decision for me! When I got my truck in, they called and told me that the water pump and serpentine belt needed replacement (expected), and that the coolant should be flushed and replaced (unexpected). I got out the door for right at $1,000-much less than at the dealer! Fast forward a few months...the computer in my truck went out. I limped the ol' Tundra to these guys, and the quote for a new ECM was over $1,000-ouch! The service manager saw how much that hurt, and told me how to swap it myself and save hundreds. I appreciated his help and sympathy, and the fact that they truly were concerned about helping me out-not just making a quick buck. As someone who generally expects to get screwed by anyone who has anything to do with cars (dealers or mechanics), I highly recommend this company, and as I said, I won't take my Tundra anywhere else. read more

Yes, the work is done properly. They advertise using genuine Toyota parts. However, my 92 Camry OEM CV boots lasted 110K miles where as their "Genuine Toyota Parts" lasted only 50K miles. Hummm, maybe they used what they call "OEM equivalent" such as Dayco, Conti, Gates, etc., not OEM. Yes, Toyotas are engineered and last long time IF proper parts are used. Besides, now days, non-dealer place costs are just as expensive as dealers. so, what's the point? read more

I purchased a Toyota Highlander in 2014 and because I work right down the street from this place decided to give them a try. I never took that car anywhere else. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable and capable. I sold that car in early 2016 to get back into a sedan that is sadly not a Toyota. I asked the employee when exactly did I call and cancel the appointment. He told me that he did not know when and stated that my appointment had been filled with someone else. My husband and I have been customers for over 5 years with different cars. My only complaint?? They only work on Toyota and Lexus! I so wish they could work on our teen's "well worn" Acura. As other reviews have indicated, I have never felt overcharged or pressured to do the 15/30/45 etc. checks like the dealerships sometimes do. They acutally spent an afternoon checking out a squeal in the front end of my car that ended up being the sealant on our work parking lot causing the tires to squeal excessively when it's hot out. Embarrassing? Yes...but, they only charged the one-time $49.95 labor fee after performing several diagnostic tests. Other unscrupulous shops could have taken advantage of a customer. read more
