Went here on a referral and was not disappointed. They are located a little out of my way, but it was worth it. Conveniently, there is a rental car place 1/2 mile down the street -- affordable at $35 per day. Carter had my car in and out in a day, so rental car was no sweat. But he immediately knew who I was and why I was there when I walked in (had called to book this reservation and he gave me a solid quote via email, after looking up my VIN number). Called me mid-afternoon stating car was ready and confirmed their warranty policy and the fact that he only used brand name parts -- no after market, generic parts. Very happy and will come back again. In the end, saved $$$ from what the dealership wanted to charge for same service. :) read more

Buyer beware: God awful service and the price of the repair more than doubled ($1100 to $2300) after five hours of my vehicle sitting at the garage. The Mechanic informed me that the problem with my vehicle was indeed the same problem with the part I told him about over the phone. He did not find anything I didn't already tell him about. If the mechanic identified a different part that was broken then the one I informed him about then I would have accepted his excuse that his verbal quote over the phone was "the best he could do." But, when the mechanic knows the problem, and knows the type of vehicle that needs to get fixed then I'd expect a more professional and accurate quote. Seems like he gave me the $1100 quote just to get me in the door. And after 5 hours of my vehicle sitting at the shop, it seems that he assumed I wouldn't want to bother with the hassle of coming to get my vehicle and finding another shop to fix it. The time estimate also changed from "we can do it in a day" to "it will take 5 days." How can a knowledgeable professional be so incompetent in price of repair and time to do it? Really dicey business practice, which unfortunately is very consistent with the industry in general. Buyer beware, proceed with caution! read more

Carter was recommended to me by a car broker friend. I priced compared and Carter did the work on a 1987 Dodge Ram truck in a timely manner and at a fair price. I used Carter to replace a clutch. The towing company broke a tire rod getting the truck to auto repair shop. Carter has been very helpful dealing with claim. Filling out the paper work, taking pictures etc. These guys are great. Carter was the most professional honest repair I think we have ever had on ANY repair I have ever had done on a vehicle. Here is the review I gave on Mile High Honda the difference of price for repair ... $2,300!!! Carter you now have ALL my families automotive needs covered! Thanks for the savings! "We bought our Honda Odyssey at Mile High, did almost all maintenance there and we paid a lot of money for an extended 7 year bumper to bumper warranty. We never used the warranty and when we had maintenance there they never turned of a tire pressure light that just needed to be reset. We had an issue with a couple months left on the warranty. We took the van in and were informed we had to pay I think it was $65 for diagnostics. The guy that was helping us was smug and just rolled his eyes when I asked about my warranty. When the "diagnostics" were done they came back with a quote of $2400 for the issue which was a wiring harness damaged "do to rodents" so nothing would be covered. The smug employee pissed of my wife so bad we had our van towed to another mechanic. The total for the repairs at the other mechanic ... $180 including an oil change! I used to love going to Mile High and previous repair guys were awesome. This last experience I will never give them another dollar. I still have a month on my warranty. If anything goes wrong at all I will bring them the van and cause a scene if I get any push back. They are happy to take your money when you buy the vehicle and regular maintenance if you love Hondas try the dealer on Arapaho Rd." read more

Excellent service. Took my daughter's 2002 Ford Escape. Basically gave him an open door to fix whatever he felt needed repair as I had just purchased it and knew the vehicle needed some work. Asked him to focus on shorter term items and "safety" items, given the age of the car. He identified an axle issue and leak in the transmission fluid. Also found a small leak in the oil pan, but said that he didn't think it necessary to fix it. Came in under $500, more than fair for the parts and time to repair. The shop earned my loyalty by not gouging me on unnecessary work or cost. Will definitely take my next repair need back here. read more

As a single woman, I searched for someone who I thought would be honest & reasonable & trustworthy. I am SO HAPPY that I found Carter's! Cassie & Carter were exactly the kind of people & shop I was looking for. It was recommended by a coworker of my moms. My mom & I have both taken our vehicles to Carters and between the two, have had exhaust repaired & replaced, brakes all around, a starter, a clutch and replaced plugs and wires. Every job has been reasonably priced, competitive & the work has been excellent. Less than 48 hours after picking up my truck, I was on my way home from work when smoke started pouring out of my hood. I called Carter immediately; he called for a tow & replaced a hose that had a small hole in it. Less than 2 hours after my ordeal started, I was picking my truck back up.
