I've been going to this place for a number of years now with a variety of vehicles. My latest vehicle is a 2019 Dodge pro master camper van. I recently had an issue with my center console lid (would not open / broken latch) on my LC500. I originally spoke with the dealer and was told that I would need a complete bucket and lid. We had company visiting from Minnesota and they had a check engine light come on a few days before they were scheduled to start the long drive back. We tried the local dealers and had a very hard time getting a call back. When we did we were told it would be over a week before they could even scan the code. ( And it would cost $$$). We found Toy-Lex though a search -appreciated the yelp reviews. They are close to our house and told us to come right over and they would scan and see what we were up against. They were so professional. They scanned the car, topped off the oil, reset the sensor and test drove the car. Priced out the parts if we needed more of a fix and had us on our way in 30 minutes! When I had my battery replaced, the people that replaced it advised that I needed an alternator also and referred me to Toy-Lex. I was mentally prepared to part with probably $1000. ToyLex called me after I dropped the car off and said that I didn't need an alternator at all. They advised me that the people that told me I needed one likely didn't have through testing equipment. Took my SC430 because of check engine and VSC lights on, Nick checked out and told me he had never seen code and would have to investigate more. After a few phone calls he was able to narrow down to having to replace ECU, a $2K+ plus job at dealer. Bought one at LKQ for $325 and took back to Nick. Lexus of Melbourne told him they couldn't/wouldn't reprogram. Nick asked me to try and call another dealer myself. Spoke to dealer in Orlando and they replaced and reprogrammed and replaced air bag under factory warranty, ie no charge. Thank you Nick for being an honest repair facility. Won't go anywhere else. Don't let the name discourage you, they do more than just Toyotas and Lexus's. My search for a dedicated off-road specialist in the area led me here, as I had a lift kit for my Nissan that needed to be installed. Prior to the install, Toy-Lex made sure I had all the parts I needed, and that the vehicle was in satisfactory condition to have the work done, at no extra cost. What they quoted me was what they charged me, no more, no less. I already have a dedicated mechanic elsewhere I take my cars to, and I'm largely satisfied with them, but they shy away from custom work such as this. So when it comes to my 4x4 getting upgrades, I'll be bringing it here once again. read more

These guys are rockstars. The first time I brought my car in was to have an engine leak looked at, they discovered that there was a sensor unplugged and didn't charge me for it. They were able to get my car back the next day as well. The second time I went back to have another leak taken care of and now my car is running clean. Rusty was always super informative and never seemed to pull one over on me. I knew exactly what they were working on, and I paid a more than reasonable price for their efforts. Best automotive repair shop experience in a long time! These guys are the real deal!!

I searched for a reputable Jeep service center for months after I purchased my 1997 Wrangler TJ with 138,000 miles on it. Most cars hit the scrap yard with that many miles, but there's something special about Wranglers. The previous owner didn't disclose a few major issues, which is unfortunately typical. I found these guys from a friend who uses them via a Facebook post, so I decided to give them a shot. It was the right decision. I tried two other service centers before Toy Lex. One, a local Jeep dealership, told me some of the parts I needed were no longer available, so I should just keep my mouth closed like the prior seller, sell it, and buy a new car. The second, a popular tire chain, told me they didn't deal in off-market parts - but tried to sell me a $300 service that would make it "run a little better." I like to get things done right the first time, especially with cars. Being broken down is a little dangerous, especially in today's crazy world. Rusty and Nick took their time and found out exactly what was wrong. They told me what they found step by step, and gave me an honest estimate of the costs involved. It was a little pricey for the ton of parts I needed, but I decided to take the leap. I'm glad I did. My TJ has NEVER run this well! They did a serious transmission overhaul and a regearing to match the aftermarket wheels the prior guy installed. I can actually keep up with traffic now! The stalling has stopped, the gassy smell is gone, and there are no more leaks on my garage floor. They even repaired the door latches for my aftermarket doors and the real door locks too. These guys remind me of an old-school business. Straight shooters, honest work, a professional attitude, and a very generous 12-month warranty. I haven't been this impressed with any business in a LONG time. You've got my service business for life. We're bringing our Toyota in next. Thanks guys. read more

I just PCSd (military move)and I have been looking for a mechanic. So I brought my 1984 300zx Turbo to Toy-Lex. A auto store employee who checked my battery and alternator and informed me my alternator was bad. I bought one from the store to replace it. If you've ever been reluctant to take your vehicle to a shop because you worry about efficiency, cost or more importantly personal service, put your fears to bed because Rusty and his team at Toy-Lex are the best for all your mechanical needs! I finally bit the bullet and had my broke-down Jeep towed to Toy-Lex to find the cause of it not starting. In less than an hour, Rusty found the problem, fixed it, and called me to let me know it was running and ready to be picked up!
