I used to collect sports cards growing up and had a Pokémon collection as a kid too, which I sadly sold at a garage sale before I knew any better. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owner and his wife. Even with the holiday weekend keeping them busy they were super welcoming and took time to walk us through the store, explain how they price things, and answer our questions. First time shoppers also get a cool Pokémon pin which my son loved, and he picked one out for his sister too. Make sure to signup for their newsletter as they have a nice little $5 promotion too! Great selection if you're into Pokémon--from packs to slabs to singles. They also had a solid variety of video games and consoles from vintage to newer stuff. I had fun digging through the sports card boxes too, just wish there were a few more to look through. Best part was my son had such a fun experience. They were 3 brand new Switch 2 games, completely factory sealed and within the return window. An employee named BRYAN, a senior associate there that clearly didn't want to be there evidenced by his bed hair, told me that they could not accept the return because GameStop.com orders have a special return system and needed to be returned to specific stores around the country. That doesn't make sense for a completely unmarked, completely factory sealed game. Even worse, I had talked to GameStop.com customer service before going to the brick and mortar store who told me the returns were all cleared to be done at this particular store. Now I got to call them back, wait another hour to talk somebody and be told the same thing? This is crazy and HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. If this employee Bryan is incorrect, then he would've wasted one hour of my time to drive to the store, one hour of talking to customer service, and he was simply lazy to do the return himself (there was a line forming behind me). Now I have to repeat this process again and maybe not be able to return this at all? Singles are kept in the 1$ long boxes which include a lot Marvel, Image, Valiant, Ultraverse comics from the 90s, you'll also find some DC and vertigo titles as well. Sifting through these boxes gave me flashbacks of when I was a comic collector in the 90s. Towards the back left and back wall of the store, you'll find shelves of graphic novels, omnibus, and other collected editions. Back issues are set up on a large table in the back. You can find a mixed selection of different titles from Silver age to modern. I found surprising inventory of certain title runs. I have a bit more exploring to do in this store. Crush carries good comic storage stuff - boxes, bags and boards (BCW brand) on the right side of the store.

As soon as Redbox went dark any content you downloaded from your Internet account was gone, as what you really had was a license to play the titles, not outright ownership. The same of course goes for any content you store on the cloud. If you end a relationship with a music or entertainment content provider be it Spotify, Spectrum or Comcast, what you think is yours goes Poof! My approach has always been to own physical media outright believing that even if my CDs and DVDs are technically a license, chances are that a Universal Studios or Warner Brothers Music SWAT team is not invading my home to retrieve my ancient copy of Forest Gump or The Best of Warren Zevon. I could be wrong. I dare them to try it. One bankrupt star for Redbox.

I've just discovered that Netflix DVD Service has the same new releases as Redbox an you don't pay daily fees to keep movies. I subscribed to that and my movie arrived fairly quick after subscribing to it. And its $10 per month for 1 DVD out at a time because sometimes I can't watch a movie right away but lets me do it on my schedule. If you have the time to watch a movie and bring it back the next day great! If not go to an alternative service or even check your local library as they often have the new releases but you wait a long time to be able to check them out due to their popularity.

I called recently because I really wanted to get my hands on a copy of Nikita Gill's new book "Hekate" and yes, I know I could just order it online from big box stores but I knew I wanted to support my local bookstore. Renee was quick and prompt and while she didn't have it in stock, she ordered it as quick as she could and I was able to go pick it up in the next day or so!
