Stay clear if you are a senior citizen. First, car advertised on tru car was not available, was told I was going to get a great deal on a more expensive car. Price negotiated was never said to include my trade. Never saw a contract until I signed all paperwork believing that I got it for agreed price, when in fact it was more, because negotiated price included my trade!!! So as far as I'm concerned, I got ripped for 3500 ( and really I think my trade was worth more) . I filed with BBB, and am thinking seriously about complaining to the attorney general. Truck has a pulling issue, steering wheel shaking and what they told me was unprofessional. The service manager, April Watkins, told me that i need to find another shop to fix my truck because they wasn't going to fix the alignment/shaking issue. I called corporate and corporate told me to get a diagnosis, so i drove my truck in the service portal and made them diagnosis my truck. Wound up that the third time they road force balanaced my tires that there was another bad tire, second tire in three road force balances. Test drove it and went back. They refused to give me all the paperwork. I refused to answer questions regarding their work. I left, looked over the paperwork i was given and it showed that they just moved three tires around. Don't believe they changed a tire. Went back and challenged the paperwork to one of the service advisors that was present in the room when i test drove it; three service advisors was in Keith Anderson and Jennifer Millers office, all three males. Keith was one of the guys and having an attitude about having to constantly work on my truck. Hunter was the other guy. The other guy, stays in first office and wears a hat all the time, is the guy i was talking to sternuous about the paperwork and he raised his voice and once he did that so did I. He got an attitude and left. The shop foreman, John Seay, came in and tried to explain his nonsense and told me to f**k off, literally, on video. The paperwork given to me is to a 2019 Camry, i have a 2020 Tundra. That was some of the nonsense they were explaining. The shop foreman will test drive your vehicle and keep his ring finger on the steering wheel claiming the truck isn't pulling. If he would have taken his finger of the steering wheel for a second he would have seen my truck pull heavy to the right. They don't care about your safety or your vehicle. My truck is currently getting aligned at Techway Automotive. Alignment is out on the tire that was swapped for front passenger to front driver; tire was supposed to have been replaced, doubt it. They stated my front rotors were warped on the third time i took my truck up there, not the first time they serviced. They literally took money from me on something that really didn't need fixing and sent me on my way without completely fixing my vehicle. A multi-point inspection was not fulfilled as Toyota claims they do during service. read more

Oh no they didn't! I paid for a wiper motor problem that was not fixed. I was told that my mechanic wired the motor wrong and that TofD fixed it. After it stopped working 4 hours later, they said it was because I had installed an after-market motor. Why did they tell me it was "fixed" only to find out that they were wrong in their diagnosis, which I paid for? Just glad that I don't live anywhere near Dothan so I don't have to use that dealership. BOO! read more

CHEATED OUT OF $80 AND TIME...DON'T FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME THEN CHARGE CUSTOMER AGAIN TO FIX IT...SUPER SCAM!!!! in August of 2021 I took my truck (STOCK RIMS AND NEW TIRES) in for a front-end alignment. I was told by David Rutherford the service Advisor/manager that they could not align my tires without installing Eccentric Camber bolts. With bolts, labor, and alignment was charged $232. This was WELL OVER the $79.95 I was quoted over the phone before I brought my truck in to be serviced. THE HORRIBLE PART WAS THAT after I left the truck with Toyota of Dothan for 2-3 day for repairs...I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX MY ALIGNMENT , they were charging me anyways, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE WITH AN OFF CENTER STEERING WHEEL. I PAID THE $232 AND I WAS VERY UNHAPPY. On April 20,2022, I finally had enough of driving a clearly unaligned truck and called and explained that I paid $232 for an Alignment and I can clearly see that the driver side front tire has a misaligned toe. I am told by Danny to bring it Toyota of Dothan an hour before opening and wait for David Rutherford and he will take care of it. I arrive and explain my issue. David Rutherford said it will take about two hours. So, I wait in the waiting area for 2hours and 45 mins until I finally grew impatient and hunt him down. I then asked him a status on my truck. David told me the Camber and alignment is way off and that they fixed it, and that now my steering wheel was straight . Then David tells me that I owe $89.99 for an alignment. I THEN EXPLAINED to him that the alignment was off due to Toyota of Dothan INCORRECTLY installing Eccentric Camber bolts and a terrible alignment and reminded him how last time he told me that my steering wheel would never be straight again and that it would pull to the right until I got another set of new tires. David Rutherford replied that I had waited to long and the best he could do was charge me $79.95 instead of $89.99. I paid the $79.95 under protest. I WAS SCAMMED OUT OF $79 PLUS MY TIME OUT. After 15 minutes I asked what was the holdup. The salesmanager then came with a proposal of sticker price. I purchased a 2014 Camry SE from this dealership and from the start it seemed as if this would be a smooth transaction. The salesmen were all super nice and patient. They financially approved me to pick out any 2014 Camry SE model I wanted in any color. After choosing the one I wanted and waiting an hour or so to sign the papers, things started to go down hill FAST. First let me say that the salesman are awesome, the middle management are pathetic and I've never had anybody lie to my face and then tell me, after getting it in writing, that I was a liar. I wanted Limo tint and they said they would send it out to get tinted and all I had to do was sign a waiver. So after getting it put on the "we owe" form we went to the waiting area until the tint was done. I had a schedule service on my 2019 Toyota Highlander. It was scheduled for 1230 and I arrived 10 minutes ahead of time because I am respectful of other peoples time. It is now four hours later. It most definitely appears that no consideration is being given for My time . The service is still not finished. There are no issues with my car. I only have 12,000 miles on it so it's a very basic service time. The service manager has come out to apologize but this is not acceptable at all. What I've learned from this is never schedule a service for Monday's and never schedule one after lunch. Be here as soon as you can get lined up in the morning ---maybe then you won't spend over four hours waiting for your car. This is very poor service. I told him what I was looking for and he immediately started his sales pitch of which I stopped him quickly and told him I knew and respected Brian Preston very well as well as I lived 300 plus miles round trip from the dealership. So, this is where Caleb became distant and not as so helpful, as well as I would have to contact him and then hope he would contact me back and I had sent him pictures of my car and VIN number to better compare comparable options. I was interested in different models but all Caleb would say was, ok so this is the vehicle you wanted , instead of doing his job of which is to help me determine the pro's and con's of each model that I was interested in. I had also informed him that I was off Tuesday and Wednesday of the next week in order to view the inventory as I was ready to purchase of he could or would help find what I needed, which he did not. They are LIARS WHO JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. The only reason they have good reviews on Facebook is because they block people who give them bad reviews. I bought a lemon from them. When I voiced my opinion about it and gave them bad reviews they asked me to remove the negative feedback. I did and they immediately blocked me on Facebook. We were assured the vehicle I purchased was a good vehicle. It was a lemon from day one. They wouldn't do anything about it. My mechanic told me there was no way the car could have had any inspection due to the fact it obviously had never even had a tune up. The spark plugs were still the ORIGINAL spark plugs??? So how was this inspected and it had never even been tuned up? I wouldn't recommend doing business with TOYOTA OF DOTHAN because they are dishonest and there is NO service after the sale. Save yourself a headache and some money and go somewhere else! They didn't just loose me as a customer they lost 4 other customers because my family saw how they did me. I bought a used 2007 Toyota 4Runner Limited from them in May of 2010. Wait let me back up, my pregnant wife and I bought that car from them. We were trading in a Dodge Dakota 4x4 pickup truck, since the baby was coming, the truck had to go. They showed us several SUVs, but the one we decided on was the "practically new 2007 that just came in." They sold us the car for $3000 over the blue book value, but wait it gets better. The Car Fax that they showed us didn't match the car they sold us. When did I find this out? I found this out two weeks ago, when I tried to trade in the vehicle. The Car Fax the Ford dealership showed us stated that it was in an accident. It's now October 2012. I quickly went back to my paper work from the Dothan sale and noticed it; the Car Fax in my paperwork was for another vehicle we were considering at the same time. Everything was the same, make, model, and color. I didn't look that closely at the VIN and year. Silly me. There is a sucker born every minute. That minute it was me. In short, this place is full high-pressure sales men and tricky used car salemen tactics. I'm sure they will have a witty and well thought out reply to this posting. A year ago we tried to buy a used truck from them at the Enterprise location, at first we did all the paperwork and then we said we'd think about it and left. An hour later I called and said we'd take it, they said great. Then the poor salesman called me and said another couple was looking at it and he was afraid if we didn't come in they would sell it out from under us. This was after we had signed a contract, had the credit completed and were ready to drive it away. So I said I would come in then and my husband would be on his way in about 30 minutes. I got there and the couple was in the credit managers office. And I just knew they were going to sell it to them and darned if they didn't. Even while I was sitting there talking very sternly to the manager, they did it anyway. No issues, we got a better deal at Gilland Ford in Ozark, who by the way are marvelous. A year later my son goes to the Dothan location because they want a Toyota and wanted a vehicle they had online. My son and his wife did all the paperwork, credit approve and even turned over his title to his current vehicle. At which time they said they didn't have the vehicle but could get it. A day later they called and said the vehicle had been sold to someone else. But they said they would try to get it back. They had the title to his car and a signed contract for nearly a week before he got the title back. THAT's CALLED BREACH OF CONTRACT! We are retired military and my son is active duty military. If you are military beware, they are not upstanding, Veteran/military loving businessmen. They are fast talking salesmen and nothing more. Go anywhere but here if you want a Toyota, if you're up in the air I can't say enough about Gilland's in Ozark. Great deals and great service. Best car buying experience I've ever had. Never left my house. Found a used Prius online and called the salesman who was extremely helpful. Woodrow (salesman) Facetimed a full walk around inside and out of the vehicle. I made an offer over the phone and then within 15 minutes he emailed back a very fair counter. We agreed on a price and they offered to deliver the vehicle to our home (two hours from Dothan!) and said if it did not meet our expectations, that they would head back on their way with no cost to us. When they arrived the car was in even better condition that expected - fully detailed and full of gas! The people who delivered the car were very professional and extremely efficient in dealing with the paperwork. This experience had totally flipped the car buying process on it's head. We had been dreading driving around from dealership to dealership looking at cars and dealing with pushy sales people like we've done in the past. I shopped a 2015 Camry with this dealership, I asked for the same discount that I saw online for Camrys in Atlanta. They said they'd come close, but since they don't charge the same $800 doc fee as they do n Atlanta, they couldn't match it exactly. I said ok, lets see what you can do. So they showed a price that had almost the same discount. But the bottom line was still wrong. It turns out that they added a mysterious $1000 or so admin fee to the MSRP, in addition to the $400 doc fee. That's right, they tried to have me pay $1400 to process my purchase, while telling me how Atlanta dealerships are over charging the document fee. Then they tried to hide it in the MSRP. What a bunch of lie in your face crooks. What tipped me off is that the sales manager asked me to verify the numbers 3 times. The first time I thought he was being professional, the second time I knew something was up, and by the third time I had figured it out. They also low balled me $3000 on my trade assessment. So I went to Bondy's in Enterprise, right of the bat, I got what I wanted for my trade, which was what I owed on it. With some haggling I also got the deal I was looking for on the 2015 Camry. This was back in April; I surprisingly found myself in the market again in late May when I got an offer I could not refuse on my 2006 sedan. I ended up buying a 2015 Corolla from Bondy's by walking in and making an offer compared to what I saw online. There was minimal b.s. and haggling, we came to an agreement and I bought my second car from them in 3 months. The irony for Toyota of Dothan, is that they called me after I had agreed to buy the 2015 Camry from Bondy's; and gave a price that I would have accepted on day 1. But by then I would have never .. ever bought from them, and they lost the sale on two cars from me. read more
