I believe that the service center here usually does a great job on maintaining my Toyota. My review is not on the actual maintenance service itself. This seems to be a recurring pattern now. I go in around 7:30am for a walk in maintenance. I was given an estimate wait time for around 10am. I was like "ok 2 and a half hours isn't bad, I'll wait here". I waited until around 10:20am and I go to ask the cashier about any updates and she rudely dismissed me and said just to wait for the text message. I then had to wait until about 11:05am and got a text message to approve of them to change the air filter in my car. I then got my car back around 11:45am. I understand that the estimated wait time is not a promise that it will be done at that time. But when the estimation is completely far off from reality, it completely derails your day. I'm okay if you tell me my wait time is 4 hours from the beginning. I could have arranged for a ride home and back if I knew beforehand that it would take 4 hours. On Saturday February 28th 2026 I visited Toyota of Riverside with my wife to purchase a 2025 Toyota Tundra.  I was ready to put down $35,000 cash leaving  a $12,551.95 balance.  I requested a one year car loan to pay off the remaining balance.  Instead Sigfrido Olguin "Ziggy"  lied straight to my face and to my wife claiming it is ILLEGAL in the state of California for a one year car loan.  "Ziggy" boss Julio Fuentes "sales manager" was in the office and said nothing .  Nothing illegal in CA ON A ONE YEAR Loan .  Ziggy was not "HELPING" us he was  "SCAMMING " us into a 3 year car loan to jack up interest and his commissions.  That is fraud plain and simple.  Ziggy also refused our trade in.   He even told me to sell my car on the outside, on the streets.  Toyota of Riverside advertises trade ins on their website and signs why push it if Ziggy flat out refused to take mine?  Who knows how many customers in his 20+ years working there he's lied to about loans, ditching trade ins, telling hard working people to "sell your car on the streets" .  This is not customer service it's PREDATORY.  Ziggy violated California Business & Professional code 17200 (un fair/deceptive acts)  the Automotive Dealers Fair Practice Act and basic honesty.  I will also report "Ziggy" and Toyota of Riverside to the Federal Trade Commission for deceptive advertising and unfair practices under section 5 of the FTC act 1-877 FTC- HELP. And walk out of the office in hand . Worse, he tried to gain our trust by bringing up that we are both "Mexican" acting like that somehow meant he wouldn't screw us over. This was a complete waste of time. I found a 2026 Toyota Sienna advertised for $52,000 and contacted the online sales department to confirm the pricing before making the trip. The representative I spoke with by email and phone confirmed the price and invited me to come in. Once I arrived, I was handed off to another salesperson who identified himself as a sales manager. Suddenly, nearly $5,000 in dealer-installed add-ons appeared on the deal. These were items I neither wanted nor requested. I told them I was interested in buying the vehicle at the price listed on the Toyota website, and asked them to remove the add-ons. Their response was that they add these packages to all of their vehicles. When I asked them to remove them so we could make a deal, the sales manager told me he would need to speak with his manager to see if that was possible. That was surprising considering he had already introduced himself as the sales manager. At that point, it became clear this was not going to be a straightforward transaction. A few days later, I visited Puente Hills Toyota and had a completely different experience. The staff was professional, transparent, respectful of my time, and easy to work with. I ended up purchasing my Sienna from them instead. Bottom line: if you are shopping for a Toyota and value transparent pricing, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

The vehicle was dropped off Friday at 3 PM for an oil change with the intent to pick it up Saturday morning. I had to cancel an appointment since I wasn't planning to spend an enormous amount of time waiting at the dealership's service area just for a pick up. I traded in my car and about a week after I did the trade-in I called my bank to see and get an update. They told me they were waiting on the dealership to send them the paperwork because they received the wrong paperwork and that they had left messages and tried getting in contact with the dealership letting them know that they sent the wrong paperwork, but never got a response back and suggested I tried calling them. I tried reaching out to them and couldn't get a call back either, left voicemails but nothing. Then I left a review on Google and Bree reached out, which was nice because that's when the manager then called me back and said that the correct paperwork would be sent over. A few hours later, gotta knock on my door to sign for a letter that stated the contract was now over and I was supposed to return the car. None of that was communicated with me when I was on the phone with the manager. I had reached out to Bri who then had to confirm that was just the process of getting the correct paperwork handled. She called me back said yes disregard the letter that's just procedure. So all that to say is very poor communication skills and this process is still not over. The bank is again waiting on the dealership on the finances which I was told was gonna be very fast very easy because of the direct relationship that they have with my bank, but at this point, it feels like they're taking their time because of my complaints. These are not small purchases and to not even get a call back was frustrating and then getting a letter in the mail without a heads up. I should have just returned the car without calling Bri to investigate and took my business elsewhere. All of a sudden they don't know customer service and don't know how to communicate. read more

I took in my 2019 Tacoma today for a water leak damage inside the cabin hood over the rear seats. They diagnosed the leak source - apparently from the thrid brake light gasket. In fact, there was a recall several years ago to replace the gasket due to water leak and I had it replaced by the Riverside Toyota dealer. Today I was told that someone must have tried to steal the third brake light or I must have tried to remove the light and that there were pry marks around the light. I was told that I am responsible for the repair charges. I was also told that even my extended warranty doesn't cover the cost. Why would the dealer assume that someone tried to steal the light - is it made of gold? They quoted $723.33 to replace the light. This dealership is a rip off. I don't hope to go back to this dealership. read more

I'm so disappointed to write this review I've had nothing but positive experiences so far with this dealership when it came to getting cars serviced here. My boyfriend recently bought a 2022 Toyota Camry here and it's beautiful but had some paint issues. The salesman informed him that he would include a detailing and a second key fob for the vehicle which my bf really appreciated. It's been around a month and he hasn't received a call yet for what was promised and included in the agreement and we have called over 5 times, first time was Memorial Day and he was told it was too busy and to call back tomorrow. Second time he got through to someone and the receptionist let him know she would send a message to a higher up. We never received any response. Third time I went in person and was told it had to be done online. Fourth we called and were met with AI (she wasn't very helpful) and no one was available to answer our call. fifth time someone told us that services couldn't help and the call had to be transferred to an internal line??? We were confused about this and were in a loud busy area so we chose to email the salesman who sold him the car on Monday and we have yet to get a response.
