A very nice size store in a shopping mall location. I was greeted with a friendly hello and if I needed any assistance. The store is bright and cheery and colorful. They have a wide variety of toys and games. The prices are reasonable considering the location and the assortment of merchandise. Lots of newer model toys, as well as vintage toys and games. Great selection of puzzles and stuffed animals as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of Monopoly and the game Clue with different themes.They also have playing cards with themes of humor to horror. One of my favorite things there is a nice selection of different size and color marbles sold by the sack. The gentleman that greeted me just set up a display of reverseable back packs for children.Very cool. Great store to find a gift for just about anyone. read more

I use to love shopping at Toys R Us as kid, and as a parent. I was excited when I heard my favorite childhood store was making a come back. While this store is not the same as I remember, I still get excited when I walk past. So excited that one day I was walking past and I saw this humongous Barbie Box, I ran inside and went inside the box and asked an employee to take my photo. The employee was so kind and said "yes, I'll take your photo." It was such a coincidence, because I had a Barbie T-Shirt, Barbie Socks, and crocs with Barbie Jibbitz. For the first time in a long time, I felt like a kid. I started singing the Toys R Us theme song "I don't want to grow up because I'm a Toys R Us Kid!" What a great experience to have all over again. read more

The manager took pictures of my son without my permission and when I confronted him, he was dismissive and unapologetic. He said he would delete the pictures but I'm not sure. Then he made it seem like I was making a big deal of it. I went to the security office to file a report and he asked if it was the bald maanager I said no. Then he said the bald one is a little weird. So there are two "weird" managers around kids all day!!! Before this happened the employee told me this is a whole new company. This is a fake Toys R Us. Every employee is rude in this store. The employees don't greet you or ask if you need anything. The toys are overpriced and most of items don't even have a price. You need to pay for a bag which is ridiculous. I paid for a bag and had to tell the cashier I needed my bag I paid for. No apology, no thank you or anything. This store needs to close read more

I visited Toys "R" Us on 02/12/2025 around 4-5PM with my 2 1/2-year-old son, who absolutely loves dinosaurs. Naturally, the moment we walked in, he ran straight to the dino section, full of excitement. While I was searching for an affordable and safe toy for him, he picked up a few items and made a small mess--nothing extreme, just the kind of thing you'd expect in a store designed for kids. Instead of understanding or politely addressing the situation, the bald man with a soft voice working there rudely commented, "You know it takes us a long time to do that," implying that my son and I were making his job harder. I was shocked. This is a toy store--shouldn't the staff be used to kids interacting with the products? It felt like we were being scolded just for being there. I expect patience and friendliness from a store that caters to children, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I used to love going to toys r us as a kid which is why I went out of my way to visit but I think I'll just buy a dinosaur at target instead :( read more

I bought something for Christmas for my grandson the toy broke within 5 minutes of home playing with it I can to return it and had a cred card receipt and he wouldn't except it he said he needed the original so I had to go all the way home to get it so I can get my money back also they don't do price matching and the manager is not helpful read more

Be careful! No prices on anything and like a dummy i didn't look at the prices of what we bought i just swiped the card. When I got in the card and looked i saw one item we paid $75 for was $26 at wallmart! Small store, Not the same as when I was a kid and now got screwed! Will never head back! read more

I purchased an item a week before Christmas and went in to return the item today. I presented the original sales receipt to the checker. She scanned the item and gave me an amount to be refunded to my card. However, the amount was about 20.00 less than what I paid. This appears to be the current sale price. I had to ask her to look at my receipt and return the amount I paid. It was an unopened box. I didn't receive an apology or an acknowledgement for the error. I did get a bit of an attitude. The receipt has a bar code which was not used. She proceeded to enter in the numbers from the receipt rather than scan the bar code on the receipt which took much longer for this simple transaction. Isn't the bar code on the receipt for this purpose? I believe these folks need to perform further training with their associates to provide a better customer experience. read more

The new Toys "R" Us store in the Harlem Irving Plaza is lovely and organized. However, make sure you bring your own bags. The store is not located in Chicago yet they do not provide a bag for the items that you purchase at their store. They said I could buy a bag for a dollar? I think next time I'll just do my shopping on Amazon. read more
