Instead of buying new pants, i decided to take 6 pairs of jeans to Tuyen to patch the holes and give them a few more miles on them before i bought new ones. They look fantastic! The jeans that had small holes, you can barely tell there was a hole to begin with. The jeans with big holes is noticeable, but it feels very strong and secure, probably more than when I bought them originally! I was slightly taken back by the price to get them altered though. There were some pretty difficult holes to patch, but I didn't know it could have cost me $120. Part of it was my fault for not knowing how much it costs to patch holes to begin with. I was naive in thinking it would be $6-10/ pair of jeans, but I should have asked how much it was to begin with. A learning experience I suppose! Haha. Once she saw my reaction though, Tuyen was very understanding and she was flexible enough to adjust the price which I am very grateful for. She didn't have to do that. Quality work does come at a cost. If you want it done flawlessly and you are willing to pay for it, go to Tuyen's Alteration shop. Thanks to them, I have 6 more jeans in my closet to work with! Thanks to her I love the jumpsuit and the portraits, which I never thought was even possible at my size and age. A little tricky to find her shop the first time but worth the extra effort She's got this beautiful maternal side, and is very kind, she helped me select the best outfit from several I tried on. She's got a loyal customer for life now (and I live 2 hours away). She's worth it!

The reason I am writing this review is to warn people to not take alterations here. I thought this would be a one stop shop, but they completely ruined my satin skirt. I took it in with the request of a small hole repair, and the person who did the sewing completely ruined it. I am attaching photos of the before and after. As my daughter tried on each one, the owner, Julie, pinned the dress and described how she would approach the alteration. Her quotes were very reasonable so we agreed, setting a pick up for a few weeks later. The dresses were NOT READY ON TIME, and the PRICE WAS ALMOST DOUBLE the original quote. Adding insult to injury, NOT ONE OF THEM FIT RIGHT, AND JULIE HAD AN ATTITUDE when we went back to get them refit a second time. After a brief discussion about how the price was double and not one of them fit, we admitted that we were no longer confident that Julie would be able to fix them. He is also difficult to get a hold of because he is allegedly based in Colorado. If you need alterations for a shirt he made you, good luck with that! Also, while he claims (and retracted, ironically) that he also specializes in women's shirts, it is obvious from the shirt I ordered that he is at best quite poor in crafting women's clothing. The shirt he made for me is really a man's shirt with women's measurements. There is no darting or princess seams, and fits exactly how a man's shirt would on a woman's body. While he claimed in person that he made women's clothing, he retracted this statement on the phone. A few months later after his "alterations" to the shirt, he denied he made that retraction and refuses to refund my money. The shirt still hangs in my closet and is so ill-fitting I can't even wear it under a sweater. Keep in mind this shirt cost me $160. One shirt. That still looks bad under a sweater. Again, beware of Richard Agren/The Shirt Tale, and keep in mind he is not authorized to make in-person transactions in Carmel!!!
