TP Tea is really yummy and known for being more authentic amongst boba chains! I got to try a few: - Mango Pomelo Sago: oh my goodness, it was so good. I will definitely be ordering this as my go-to. It was creamy, sweet, and just a tad sour. I went with 80% sugar per my friend's recommendation and that was definitely enough sugar. - Strawberry Matcha Latte: the first few sips were amazing, but then I started noticing a heavy powdery taste. Unfortunately it didn't get better and I had to ask a worker if I could switch out my drink, which they did for me for free. - Passionfruit (2 topping) Tea: the taste was good and I loved the stringy boba topping but the tea had a dry aftertaste which I didn't enjoy. Overall the prices are definitely up there ($7.50 for a drink) but it can be worth it. It's across the street from the Carrollton plaza and has some parking in the front. I got the TP Milk Tea and it was bland to my liking despite not adjusting the sugar levels; however, the boba did have a nice consistency. All the ordering is done through a kiosk, but kind of confused because certain options will have different ice or sugar levels. It's in a strip mall thats a bit out of the way from the other plazas but there's enough parking, even at peak times. Service is quick. There's enough tables for a group to hang and the interior is nice. TP Milk tea, half sweet with pearls is my go to. I still haven't figured out what the difference between the milk tea and a tea latte are, but they're both good. I prefer the tieguanyin, which is their specialty. TP Tea is currently my new obsession! My go to is the TP milk tea with sago, half sweet! I don't like my drinks super sweet so half sweet is perfect. I also like the sago balls more than the boba balls but that's my personal preference. Overall this boba spot is very spacious and it's very easy to place an order and they are also super quick. The space is nice too; it has a lot of small tables but you can put them together for larger groups when you need to study or just hangout. The staff was also kind and answered any questions I have! Solid boba place with very fresh, fragrant teas and a variety of good fruit drink options. Since I'm such a creature of habit, I always end up ordering the jasmine milk tea with boba, 50% sweet. The tea is really high quality and never over brewed. The boba is pretty good in terms of texture, but I wish it was a little bit more sweetened (just my personal preference!). I had high expectations for this place because I remember reading somewhere it's one of the original bubble tea places in Taiwain (could be wrong about this.) However, I wasn't too impressed. I got the Tie Guan Yin tea and it tasted very basic. I wish they had honey as a sweetener rather than just sugar. What made me give this place low stars is their ice levels. I asked for low ice and as I saw my drink being made there was a cup full of ice. I kindly reminded the barista about the low ice and they said the whole cup is their version of low ice, but I was so confused because what would full ice look like? The staff was sweet, the place was busy! The mural was beautiful, but the drink was eh. The boba was also smaller than in other places. I wouldn't go out of my way to return considering there is so much competition for boba around. read more
