Googled where I could get a matcha latte while in Lewisville and this location popped up. I noticed it was in the 99 Ranch after we were in route and I'm so glad I came. The matcha is hand whisked to order and had tons of fun flavor options- mango, strawberry, Sakura rose, banana, pistachio hazelnut and many more. You can order through either kiosk and it was plenty busy on a Saturday afternoon. I picked the banana matcha with extra matcha. It was super tasty! They also have a bunch of sweetener available (brown sugar, honey or cane syrup), but I didn't need any. My boyfriend also got a giggly bunny coconut pudding. I got the hojicha strawberry latte. This is one of the rare places that lets you double the matcha and hojicha. The location is inside 99 ranch to the right when you enter. Lots of parking space and it gets quite busy during the weekends. Service took awhile since there were a lot of people. I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk, couldn't taste any matcha nor the oat milk, and all you could taste is the super sweet strawberry syrup. The color of the matcha was dark green, not the typical bright green you'll get for good matcha. They also pre-made the matcha already so the drink came out super quick. I thought the sakura rose was very florals tasting and not as sweet as I prefer but they do have extra simple syrup for you to add to your liking. I had the banana matcha with oat milk with extra strength and it's actually that GOOD matcha!! I'm so tired of going to "matcha" spots and it's just not matcha enough!! My drink was almost $10, but am I crazy for saying it actually tasted worth it?! When I am back in the area I would love to go try the other flavors they have! You can definitely taste the ube and I liked that it wasn't too sweet. Couldn't pick up on the lavender taste though, and it had a bit of winterminty after taste for me that I didn't enjoy the most. 4) Coconut Water Matcha This is as simple as it comes- unsweetened coconut water with strong matcha. Because of that it wasn't sweet at all and tasted very healthy! Can taste the strong, sometimes bitterness of matcha in this one, so I recommend if you are looking for a healthy option. I was so excited to try out the new matcha spot that opened up! So when we came it was already a little busy cause the soft opening. I walked up to the register to place orders for the drinks and the first thing he said was it's gonna probably take 15-20 minutes, and I said oh that's fine. I said that cause I was just having a nice day in carrolton with some friends so I didn't have to be anywhere. His response was an eye roll and a loud sigh. I was like um alright... I work in customer service and I would tell them theres a wait too but I never show my annoyance and what not to the customer. Anyways after ordering our drinks I got the banana matcha, and I was thinking it was like a banana purée, but I was definitely wrong. He got half a banana and just stuck it in the cup and barely mushed it to make it into a purée. So I didn't quite enjoy my drink. My friend got the matcha affogato and it was super bitter, it only tasted better once you mixed the Ice cream because it gave it some type of sweetness to it. Their menu is extensive and offers a variety of interesting combinations - thinking as Sakura matcha, Lavender Uber to name a few. I went with strawberry matcha latte to test the water and it was good. Well balanced between sweet and bitterness. The matcha flavor is strong enough but not over empowering strawberries. The specials are very good, got the Affogato Matcha Latte Float and the coffee Matcha Latte. The presentation is adorable and they make them quick even with a line - you're not really waiting. The new matcha republic is in the soft opening phase and does have some limited hours. So staff isn't the issue, but you have to pay attention to the times at the moment as they train and grow BUT they knew how to be efficient and the MATCHA is ceremonial and made the real way.
