Her milk tea very light flavor taste like water down milk tea. My passion tea was so strong leave a bad after taste in my mouth, have to throw it away after few sips. So disappointed. read more

GOOD PLACE TO CONTRACT CORONAVIRUS! ...Just as a note of caution due to the lousy observed lack of protocols on two visits and one walk-by. Staff seemed to have little attention about social distancing, proper ventilation. And even served a few walk-ins with no masks on. They don't seem to care...or maybe haven't gotten organized yet. Hopefully management will do better. Place was crammed due to soft opening with revolving 20-30 staff & customers in a tiny room so I went outside to wait. Sadly the young guy at the counter refused to crack the door or any windows to help get fresh air in that situation. Obviously not understanding science or caring about customers' health precautions. Excellent drinks. I thought the fruit drink was way too sweet, but the other drink we ordered (classic tea) was right on. I really enjoyed the drinks here. The atmosphere was nice too. It does suck that this location is smack dab in a downtown area that requires parallel parking, and looking at dirty, trash-filled streets, with terrible smelling people and graffiti. If you like wading through mud to get a sugary drink, this is the place to go! read more

TP tea is usually my go to for bbt for nowadays. However, I have noticed their quality have not been consistent. I used to order A4 with 80% sugar and less ice but lately the 80% sugar doesn't have any sweetness at all. So I switched back to 100% sugar with light ice. Today I got the 100% sugar with light ice, my drink didn't taste sweet at all and no tea flavor. I guess that's what happen when you are popular and busy, quality eventually go downhill like other franchise..... read more

I wanted to love this place so badly because it's from Taiwan and I am a big fan of traditional teas. I ordered the TieGuanYin tea (D3) 80% sweetness, no ice, no toppings so I could try the tea itself. The tea is delicious, oolong bordering on slightly syrupy. My husband ordered the traditional milk tea with two scoops of boba and no ice. They messed up on his order twice (and he ended up not correcting them a third time) probably because the place was packed beyond the 10 person max limit due to indoor COVID restrictions and it was difficult for the cashier to hear orders. The tea itself was sweet with 100% sweetness, but delicious. The boba was terrible--absolutely mushy and smaller than regular-sized boba from other boba spots. It's a great spot if you're walking around in Chinatown already, but as someone who drives great distances for boba, I would not come here just for that. Also, the milk is actual milk, no non-dairy creamers so if you're into dairy, that's great. If you're not, then you're out of luck. read more

I have been waiting and waiting for TP TEA to be on one of the food delivery apps, and it finally is! I think it's only on Door Dash at the moment. I am Taiwanese but haven't been back to Taiwan in about 10 years, so I haven't heard of this boba shop before, but I see that it's all over Taiwan now so I was dying to try it! I am addicted to milk tea and love trying all the different shops. I ordered the A2 TP Milk Tea with Pearls, 100% ice, 100% sugar. It was love at first sip. The base for this drink is Tie Guan Yin (aka Iron Goddess Oolong tea) which I absolutely love, and not too many boba shops have this. It's hard to describe what it tastes like.. slightly toasted? I would recommend trying it if you seek a stronger tea flavor. The pearls were perfect as well. TP TEA is officially my #1 favorite boba shop! Currently they don't do delivery orders on weekends but hopefully that will change soon! Edit: I found out TP Tea is a subsidiary of Chun Shui Tang which is one of my top 2 boba shops I must go to when I visit Taiwan (the other being Ten Ren Tea). Went to TP tea to get BOGO mango milk tea and slush that they were promoting. Those were the only two items they were promoting but they did not let us know that you had to pick 2 of the same item. Very unclear and the cashier did not notify us of this or rectify the situation once we asked when the payment went through, otherwise we would have chosen different drinks. I really like their boba. Initially I didn't like the noodle topping, but it definitely grew on me. I usually get the Taiwanese milk tea and it's amazing. I took a star off because they occasionally don't have boba if you go in towards closing and I consider that fundamental for a boba shop, but other than that I love this place. read more

I am a big fan of bubble tea and I go TP tea a lot since they open and it closes to my house. The drinks are good for me. It is nothing to complain about till I was really upset yesterday. I came to the store at 12pm and they already got busy. As normal I get line, order my 2 favorite drinks and standing aside to wait. About 20 minutes later, I saw my drinks are done and they put it in the counter. I came to show the guy ( his task is prepared topping and pass the drink to customers) my order number and tell him please drop me those drinks. He told me please wait a bit and still keep taping the order before me (5 drinks). I will not rush if I am not late to work. I come to him again and tell him that my order is ready and I don't need to pack anything, so please just pass them to me. He still not don't care about that and told me he is working right now. Then I told him I am almost late to work so please pass the drink to me, but He still don't care what I said and keep put the order 5 drinks into the bag after taped the lid. I was really upset and told him again please just pass it , please. Then he give it to me with the unhappy attitude. Then go back to pack the 5 drinks again. Such a mood tilting experience with the customer service . I just wanted 3Q TP milk yea without the coffee jelly in there and I'm not even allowed to ask them to take out that coffee jelly and I need to pay extra to not have the coffee jelly in there . Which makes no sense to me . They explain how it's a franchise and they are not allowed to do that . I get it but if you think about the so call rule itself does it make any sense to you ? In conclusion the employees there really don't think for the customers. They took their time slowly make the drinks while people were waiting outside of the store in rain. This is also the first time that I've encountered such inflexible setting in many years of drinking boba teas from different stores. And I went with my husband . He didn't wanted to drink so only I ordered. I got asked twice :" just one drink ? With an unbelievable tone as if we have to order two drink ? It was just okay for me. Small line of 10-15 or so out the door on a weekday afternoon, took about 1/2 hour to get drinks. Nice staff. People struggling with social distancing while in line. Had the strawberry tea, Taiwanese milk tea, and passion fruit green tea. My friend liked the strawberry, gave it 8/10. The Taiwanese milk tea was so-so, it was not very sweet at full sweet, and the tea wasn't that strong unfortunately. Happy Lemon's milk tea flavor is better I think. The boba, boba noodles, and grass jelly were all good - really like the noodles! The passion tea was too sweet and oddly too tart at the same time - made it hard to drink the whole thing - not sure I'd get it again, or maybe I'd try less sweet. I'd like to go back and try some other drinks, but I'm not about waiting a half hour each time. 15-20 min is reasonable, 30 min maybe a bit much - but they're new and still working through the kinks. :) read more
