Strawberry Boba Milk and Brown Sugar Crème Brulee Boba Milk
    Geo N.

My friends and I were walking to the Westlake link station and decided to stop by here for little sweet treat. I'm actually not really a boba person in general, and I tend to prefer fruity drink over milk teas so this review is going to reflect that! Drinks: (3/5) I had no idea this place specialized in brown sugar boba, so I got the strawberry boba milk since brown sugar drinks usually make me feel too heavy (my mistake). I'm not sure how they make the strawberry add-in but it was very candy-like compared to most other places. It was very similar to adding Hershey's strawberry syrup to a cup of milk, which unfortunately wasn't really my vibe. My partner and friends got the taro milk and brown sugar creme brulee milk that I thought were both significantly better than my strawberry boba milk. I also didn't realize that my tapioca would also be fruity. Because it wasn't the traditional tapioca, it had a really gritty texture. Service: (5/5) Very nice people here! I think they had family in the store because there were several adults with kids that were playing around (very sweet). The store and bathroom were also extremely clean so I really appreciated that!

Extra mango smoothie in small cup for my toddler

I came around 9:30pm on a Saturday. The staff was very kind and patient. I was doing a group order, and had to cancel mid order while waiting for a response from one of my party. They were very understanding and made sure I got my order right. After receiving the drinks, they were kind enough to give a little extra smoothie in a separate cup for my toddler since it wasn't possible to open the top and pour a little out for him. You can tell the boba is made in house - it was nice and chewy.

Came here after dinner for some boba. The tapioca pearls are fresh made and you can definitely tell, that's what was better than most other places I've been. Otherwise the milk tea is pretty standard which I think you'd expect. The pricing is in line with other places and they have similar mix in flavors/types. We didn't really get any food since we already had dinner but their only food option was a bubble waffle thing, which smelled and looked really good. I had the crème brûlée milk team and it was great! The service is really fast for it being hand made and the ambiance is good. It's easy to find seating and just hang out for a couple minutes.

Great tea! Friendly service, non dairy creamer (yay for me!). We got some hot teas on a cold day and they were so tasty and fast! Also the boba texture and flavor were superb! It's...probably a good thing this spot isn't more easily accessible for me xD

True Taiwanese boba experience! Great menu, delicious boba. I love their fresh fruit tea options. So many delicious choices. We ordered the Lychee rose tea 50% sweetness. And the Dalgona brown sugar coffee. If you've seen videos or been to the Taiwan locations you know that they have the boba in the brick thing, they don't do that here. I'm sure they don't get as many orders as Taiwan, but such a shame! There's plenty of fun photo spots and also their fortune teller thing is fun. Definitely a great spot if you're in downtown! I think a block of 2 from old Macy's.

What's amazing about Xing Fu Tang is they make their own boba from scratch! Think it doesn't make a difference? It does. Their handmade boba is just the right amount of chewy, bouncy, and soft. My hubs and I enjoyed our drinks: the Thai Tea with boba and Dalgona Coffee Latte with boba. Service is nice and friendly. There's a cute wall with stuffies to take pics with. There are a good number of tables too. The only thing is I'm hardly ever in downtown Seattle these days. If only XFT was in Ballard!! Wow, I'd be there every week.

Fortunes! You get to pull one for fun in the store

Amazing tea! I wasn't sure where to grab tea around the Westlake Station area in the evening, but a friend recommended Xing Fu Tang. Semi-small interior, with less than half a dozen tables and designed for grab and go. Walking in, you're immediately hit with caramel/sugary smells of the boba being made. Staff were friendly quick on dishing out the orders. I ordered a World Peace, large size. Delicious pea tea flavor and the boba is incredible. I didn't expect it to actually be strawberry flavored boba, but to instead be the popping boba (you find everywhere else). The boba is actually strawberry flavored, which makes sense since I got to watch the staff making the boba fresh behind the counter. If there's only one downside, it's that the boba is maybe 0.1mm too large for the straws sometimes. So take two straws if you get a boba drink here (for when the first one clogs).

This bubble tea place is very famous for its brown sugar and fresh boba. Their brown sugar milk tea with boba was delicious. It surprisingly wasn't as sweet as I expected. The pearls were chewy and flavorful, and the milk tea didn't just taste like sweet milk, I could actually taste the tea. We also got the limited edition lychee slush, which was pretty good, but if you go to Xing Fu Tang, I'd recommend getting what they're famous for, their brown sugar boba!

I was really excited to try this place since I saw they were from Taiwan. I got the matcha drink with strawberry boba. I like the concept, but the boba was hard and the matcha was disappointing. It also looked nothing like the photo. Usually matcha drinks I get have a matcha layer on top with the milk on the bottom. They already mixed the layers, but when I drank it, it was very milky and I would not consider it to be matcha. Just green colored milk. They also charge you an additional .80 for no ice. That's just topping up my drink with milk/water. I don't like ice cold drinks, so I don't think I should be charged an additional amount for a preference since sugar level was not an additional charge. Other stores I've been to don't do this additional hidden cost. They could either fill it with less liquid then or at least tell me about it. They had a cute little fortune reading station. It said not to take the fortune with you since they were trying to be more eco-friendly, which I found a little ironic since they had plastic cups, plastic straws, plastic seal for the cup, and to top it off... an unnecessary plastic cap for the cup. I don't understand. Will I be back, no. $10 for this quality is just a scam in my honest opinion. Service was alright. A kiosk would have probably been better.

Came across this bubble tea shop entirely by accident. Ordered a basic bubble tea drink just to test if they have their basics down and immediately could tell that these are fresh boba pearls. The drink was warmer on the bottom because the pearls are still warm and they were very chewy and not hard at all. I ordered the drink with 50% sugar and that was plenty-- I do not advise you order with 100% sugar. The combination of the brown sugar boba is already going to be plenty sweet. Adorable tea cafe but definitely on the pricier end.

Came here twice during our week in Washington. The lady taking our order was so sweet! She recommended their popular drinks and also suggested sweetness levels. Both drinks came out perfect. They specialize in brown sugar boba drinks. The boba is fresh, warm, and chewy. We loveeee. Also loved that this place was a short walk around the corner from our Airbnb.

Finally got to try this place out! It lives up to its hype for sure, although boba is slowly becoming a luxury since a small cup is like $8 now. I got their mango passion fruit green tea with brown sugar boba, which I enjoyed but it is extremely sweet even at 75% sweetness level. I would definitely recommend having it at 25-50% instead unless you have a crazy sweet tooth lol. Really loved the consistency and texture of their boba too. Chewy and bouncy and good amount of sweetness. I would love to come back and try out their milk teas!!

You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Other than that, we got our drinks pretty fast since it wasn't busy near closing, which was when I went.

I can drink it with less ice on a chilly, cloudy afternoon. Since toppings were free, I got rainbow jelly. Yay! Thank you! We'll be back if we're in the area again!
