I'm not sure if I just came on an off day but was a bit disappointed with my drink at Choo Tea. I love Oolong Milk Tea and when I saw they had an Osmanthus Oolong Tea Latte that came highly recommend I was excited to give it a try. The milk tea itself was not overly sweet which I appreciated however the tea flavor was weak and for the most part was very milky. It also probably didn't help that their Oolong Tea Latte comes with whipped cream. I think if I was to go back I would maybe try one of their fruit teas instead of their milk teas as I prefer my milk teas to be on the stronger side.

I had tried choo tea just to try a different place. I tried Osmanthus Oolong Tea Latte and my man got lychee oolong tea lattee. I shouldve gotten it warm but cold was good too. I went on a memorial day but it wasnt so packed but was definitely occupied.

This place is more known for their tea flavor, similar to Molly tea. I got their Oreo taro milk tea and thought it was a unique enough drink. Not too sweet but I personably didn't feel 30% vs 50% had a huge difference. Service was fast. I'd go back and try their milk teas and fruit teas separately and update this review. 1 hour validated parking. There are outlets inside but not a lot of seating.

Slight line to order but all the bubble teas look good. Options for small bites. Atmosphere is clean and open. Not too many chairs but could be the weekend crowd. Love the smell of the tea though - smells like authentic Taiwanese tea!

Every time we drove past this place, it seemed to be packed, so we figured a weekday visit would be a safer bet. Surprisingly, it was still very busy, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes just to place our order and get our drinks. The prices were noticeably higher than most bubble tea shops we've visited in Seattle. We ordered two bubble teas along with three pastries and desserts, and with most dessert items priced around $10 each, the total came to over $50. The atmosphere was lively and clearly popular with locals, but the drinks themselves were fairly average and didn't stand out from other bubble tea spots. Service was polite despite the crowd, but considering the wait time, pricing, and overall quality, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype for us.

This has quickly become one of my favorite places in town for a treat. You can really taste the difference with the high-quality ingredients--everything feels thoughtfully made and not overly sweet. The tea itself is smooth and flavorful, and most of the drinks already come with a topping, which I love because it feels like a complete drink without needing a bunch of add-ons. It's the kind of place I keep wanting to come back to when I'm craving bubble tea but want something a little more elevated and well balanced. Highly recommend if you appreciate quality and care in your drinks!

I would think that the 4 star is mostly because its a new tea place and there is the shiny appeal. Overall its ok. For milk tea there are better places like chi cha san or UG that recently opened. For fruit tea there's places like hey tea and yi fang. Which in my opinion does it much better. What is my critique? Well the tea feels watered down and the fruit seems to be stingy. I would love more tea taste or more fruit taste. What I do taste is more watery and artificial than I would like. The service was fine and the ambiance is clean and crisp. Overall there's just a lot that can be improved on.

Come here when you are craving something refreshing - their fruit teas are especially good - bright, fresh and well balanced. You can really taste the tea and fruit. Their boba also have great chewy texture, and the menu offers a good mix of classic milk teas and fruit teas. Service is quick, making it an easy stop to grab something to-go.

This is the third place I've been to that serves frappe tea lattes with the whip cream and pecans on top, the other two being Molly Tea (in the same city and almost vicinity as this place) and Chayan (in the U District). There's not much difference in the quality among them, which is to say I love the drinks I can get here. This could be the newer trend combatting - in my opinion - an imminently declining matcha craze in this state. I stopped by with a friend on a Friday night around 7:25pm after struggling to find parking nearby; you can usually find spots around the strip of 106th Ave NE just past Tapster, or along NE 2nd St. You're greeted by a pretty small cafe-like area that's clean, bright and a little noisy because of the drinks being prepared. They also sell pastries, which is pretty cool considering other places solely sell drinks. Throughout our visit, people kept coming in even when it was just 9 minutes before closing at 8pm and seating inside was almost full, so it's still gaining tons of traction even after several months of opening. Perhaps the time I went is more ideal given I've heard longer lines during peak hours. I got their osmanthus oolong tea latte at 30% sweetness and 50% ice as recommended by one of the servers at the front (15% sweetness recommended instead if you don't want it too sweet). Not too sweet, and the oolong tea flavors were really strong and floral here. Pecans added a nuttiness to the drink that I enjoyed, and it wasn't too heavy. Cup was on the smaller side though, and some of the flavors can be too strong for some tastes. I shared this drink with my friend, and he enjoyed it as well though I'm pretty sure neither of us got a good night's sleep after because of how strong their tea was. This is one of many drink places in competition with others around Bellevue, and I don't see myself coming here as often because of the wackier parking situations compared to near Downtown Bellevue Park or even around the UW Ave. Regardless, I loved my experience here and would consider taking others here if I'm around.

I'd give this a 4.5/5! I love the clean layout and aesthetic, it reminds me a lot of Molly tea. Service was quick and helpful, especially when I asked about the difference between the latte and salty foam drinks. I ordered the osmanthus oolong latte with light ice and 50% sugar. The drink is a little smaller than expected, but the tea flavor is the strongest I've had in a while! I love osmanthus, and the previous tea spots I've visited tend to be pretty light. This flavor tasted deep and refreshing, so I was pretty impressed. Though I wish the portion was a little bigger, I feel that the quality is worth the price!

3.5 rounded up. Waited 2 months after their opening to visit and there was still a pretty respectable line. When we arrived, the line almost went out the door. By the time we finished ordering, the line doubled and was literally outside. To my knowledge, no promotions were in place, so I'd say this spot is pretty popular. Parking is challenging as it's mainly street parking (though there are plazas nearby). Choo Tea seems to be one of those "premium" tea spots that have been trending recently with a focus on the frappe latte variants (tea with whipped cream). However, they do offer additional specialties and classic drinks which I appreciate. They have some appealing bakery items but the flavored pastries are a bit dry, so would skip. Black Sesame Basque Cheesecake - rich, creamy cake though the black sesame definitely covers any hint of cheesecake. Black sesame flavor was great though, so definitely recommend for black sesame lovers. A little small (looks bigger on the Creamy Milk Tea w/ Boba - honestly really good, great creaminess although too sweet. Black tea base that wasn't too strong because the creaminess is more of the emphsis (hence the name). A 30% sugar adjustment tasted like 70% so honestly not sure how their sweetness scale works. There were clear brown sugar drizzles on the side so I'd imagine 0% sugar is still on the sweeter end.

Choo Tea is the newest boba spot to open in Bellevue, bringing a large menu of different tea beverages and some sweet treats. My colleague and I visited Choo Tea as it's walking distance from the office in downtown Bellevue and for their soft opening, it was pretty busy with patrons. There was a lot to choose from. My colleague ordered the coconut jasmine tea while I tried one of their handcrafted, specialty items, the matcha Oreo blend. When I attempted to order without sugar, they advised to have some sugar, so I ended up ordering it with 30%. It was a good amount too as it was not sweet, which I liked. I tasted more of the matcha and cream with the boba that came with. I'd be curious to try the other drinks offered here since the menu is large and you can customize the amount of ice and sugar in your drink. Although it's not my favorite spot or one I'd crave again, Choo Tea was solid. If I'm nearby the place, I'll check it out. But with how many boba spots there are in downtown Bellevue, I'd most likely only visit if it's close by.

Taro and Purple Potato Milk: The taro and purple potato was tasty, I really enjoyed the texture. The taro ball was nicely chewy. You can't customize sweetness for this drink, and I wished this drink was a little less sweet. Lychee Oolong Tea with Salty Cream: This drink was great. The 30% sweetness was just right. The salty cream was a great complement to the tea, and tasted yummy when everything was mixed together. The lychee flavor was subtle, but you could still taste it. When we arrived at 1pm (opening time) on the weekend, there was already a line out the door. (Though it seems like they are slowly expanding their hours, since the last time we went, they opened at 12:30pm) It took a little less than half an hour from the time we started waiting in line until we got our drink. The inside had nice decor and was well lit from the big windows. There is indoor seating available, but might be full during peak hours.

Food & drink: (5/5) I got the ube s'more float and my partner got the Thai tea with cream. The float consists of Thai tea on the bottom, ube and tea soft serve on top, and ube marshmallow around the rim. It was my first time ever having OMO and my first time having ube and Thai tea together so I was very intrigued. Needless to say, they made a very good combo. I would describe the flavor as kind of earthy from the tea and custard-like from the ube. The marshmallow was pleasant for the first couple bites but by the end was a little too sweet. I got a sip of my partner's drink and it was also very good, though I can't say that I prefer it over a regular Thai tea without the additional cream. I'm hoping to come back to try the kaya toast and ube hot chocolate. Service: (5/5) We came in a rush at about 7:40pm because we were scared of a potential last call but they actually accepted orders until the very last minute. It's a very small store with only a front counter and one kiosk, and you wait in a line outside. It's definitely a different system compared to most places but they make great use out of their space. There was one worker very efficiently guiding the line and several others behind the counter, making drinks pretty fast.

Unfortunately I found this place just to be OK for me... Perhaps OMO was bit a hyped up for me or maybe I didn't get the right thing... hard to say. The venue is a tiny hole in the wall in the corner of a residential apartment complex. Street parking is your only option. Order form the kiosk and the little kitchen window will call out you number. They are fast and efficient. There is some eccentric limited seating outside in the front of store. More decorative than practical. #Overhyped Treat: OMO Dessert (IN STORE ONLY): ~ Ube S'mores Thai Tea Float - 3/5 While this looked brilliant, I fear it was just OK for me; definitely the case of looks better than it tastes. The presentation was absolutely brilliant! However I thought the taste fell short of the visual delight. The Ube S'mores was more like a light Ube foam instead of Marshmallow Ube S'mores. I didn't think the the Thai Tea or Ube flavor was impactful, I felt both flavors were muted and fairly light. I'll try this place again and order a few items just to be sure... but I won't have high expectations. I do wish to them well and hope they continue to thrive...

But coming back now and getting the guava grape and a pistachio cloud jasmine tea I was much more impressed. Both very good though not in my top tier echelon of tea shop quality. The shop is EXTREMELY small in a width kind of way with zero seating or even countertops to lean against really. The door is also where the line starts so it can awkward if even 1 person is inside waiting in line as it can block the entrance. Also the wait here also always seems quite long as I think they get a LOT of mobile orders so even if you see the shop empty take a look at the # of orders they're working on on the TV if you want to see how crowded they are. They are very professional though and will tell you how long the wait is if it's long, I usually wait 15-20 min each time I order here. I think they blew up in China as a luxury brand, people who even hire others to wait in the long lines in China for them to get the tea! I think they are about using high quality tea in freshly made drinks as kind of their tagline. Definitely worth a try especially for the seasonal fruit drinks I'd say.

Coconut Mango Boom - I'm not sure what's wrong with this version but something is off balance from the usual. This is certainly the most unique Don't Yell At Me location, consisting of a little standalone building fully enclosed with floor to ceiling windows. The bobarista station is situated right in the center, and there are full walkways with seating surrounding the center in a circular pathway all around. Traditional Milk Tea, Less Ice, 50% Sweet, Lactose Free Milk w/ Golden Honey Pearls ($6.85) -This drink has a pleasantly strong tea flavor. It's very nicely sweet (not from the sweetener) and has a robust earthy and herbal flavor that kind of tastes like liquid grass jelly. Quite pleasant, and stronger than what I remember receiving from other DYAM locations. Too bad the boba is mediocre. The pearls, small transparent golden balls, are sweetened well in honey, but are far too firm to give a great chew or bounce. Definitely undercooked, albeit not rock hard.
