I attended while they were in their transition period. However, I believe their foundation and class format is same. I did pretty much all the classes as a regular with Kayla- yoga flows, sculpts, hot yogas, sound baths, and the musical meditations where they bring in live performers to play instruments, Kayla singing! The community is fabulous. I felt comfortable and welcomed by Kayla, the owner. I love all her classes. She does the best guided meditations. Music is also fantastic and instrumental which is projected from a speaker and travels through the room great. Music and guided meditation transitions are fabulous! During the cooldown, you are delivered cool towels to put on your face or wherever on your body. Experience- From going through very stressful times, this yoga studio was my place to escape and I left every class more healed, and positive. It was a drive to get here from my location but worth it. I can't find any yoga studio like this. They are one of a kind. It's family oriented, friendly, welcoming, small-medium sized. Every time I came I was greeted by the coolest girl at the front desk- I think her name is Jordan, J name like me! She was helping out with the studio:) (Sorry we lost in touch, reach out to me if you ever see this to get some coffee! I looked out for you many times at the desk/ yoga classes but never saw you again!) Setting- The studio had a dojo, oasis feel to it. When you enter the most commonly used room, there is usually candle lights on the floor and beautiful projector lights like speckled stars on the ceiling. I love it. I LOVE the steam room. I could stay there for hours. Hygiene is on point. 100/100 recommend. I miss this studio and wish to come back though I'm not in the area long enough. The classes and coming to them helped me go through a low point in my life. I thanked myself every time I came.

This is the best decision I've ever made this year! This is a great community with great trainers and members. Everyone is friendly and no judging! Each class trainers ensure to watch your forms and correct you to avoid unnecessary injuries. My 7pm class was small size and so far I had coach Ryan and Stephanie which are both professional and knowledgeable. They don't push you to lift heavier or PR in every workout but they care about your techniques and encourage you to gradually increase weights/reps. I do love this gym a lot and I love running around the buildings and neighborhoods. It's quiet, safe and located in the heart of monrovia so every time I have a choice I would go out and run! (Instead of rowing or biking) I would recommend everyone who wants to be back in shape or is a challenge lover to try this gym. 5 stars! **Im also very surprised how one of the reviewer JB J. got his level one certified. I do appreciate Ryan or any other coach to stop my workout and correct my form. If no one shows me the perfect form I might have a back pain next day. If you think this is criticism you might want to get certified for Zumba or yoga at 24 hr fitness next time.

I've had memberships here off and on over the past 6 years - definitely my fave Y in the SGV!! Their pool is enormous!! I love to swim here - especially now with their new reservation system. They have 4 swim lanes available with room for 2 swimmers in each lane - and you make timed reservations via their app. Super easy to use and you can block out 30 minute increments as available in each lane with no limit to how long you want to swim. Upon check in, you'll receive a wristband with your times and lane numbers - so helpful in avoiding conflicts! This is far superior to their pre-pandemic process where lap swim was a free-for-all and insanely crowded - I couldn't ever get a lane which was one reason I stopped going. But that's all fixed now - I LOVE their new system! They also have a huge basketball gym, extensive weight room with nautilus machines and free weights, a ballroom/classroom, and a treadmill room that includes bikes, ellipticals and a stair master. They have weekly classes you can also sign up for - also very easy to do in their app. They don't have as many class offerings as they used to though - but I think they're all still trying to get things back up and running again from the pandemic. This location doesn't offer personal trainers yet - but I was told they will soon if there's enough interest. But your membership includes access to all the area YMCA locations and they offer PT services at the nearby Sierra Madre & South Pas locations. They have 3 locker rooms - one for men only, one for women only, and one for "families with small children". The one for families is limited to children under a certain age and nudity is forbidden. The other two include rules for children over a certain age (I think it was 12-13 but I can't remember) and nudity is allowed (showers and changing etc). The staff are all just awesome here - so helpful and friendly! Prices are very reasonable- especially compared to all the other gyms in the area - I've been shopping around for general gym services with a pool and personal trainer for several months now and the prices here beat all the others. They have tons of parking.

This is an Elite Curves Club and ranked one of the top 10 Curves locations in the United States, which is pretty impressive. I found a deal on Groupon and decided it was time to get back to Curves. As with any workout you can't come "clock in" and think you'll get in shape. You really have to give it 100% every time and push yourself... and maintain a healthy diet. I was greeted by Carla, one of the employees. She weighed and measured me, and gave me the paperwork in order to get the Groupon deal started. Then she took me through each of the machines and told me how to use them, as well as, the benefits of each machine. The first round of the circuit was more to learn how to use the machines and make sure I was using them correctly. The second round was pushing me to make sure I got the most out of each machine, which I liked. The owner, Stacey, came over and they swapped places while Carla helped another client start her paperwork. Stacey was very friendly and you can tell she likes what she does and she cares about the business. She greets people as they come and she knows a lot of the women by their first name. After finishing two rounds on the circuit, Stacey took me to the cool down area and showed me how to warm down with the equipment. I would recommend the Curves workout and this club was one of the best that I have been to, so definitely give it a chance if you live in the area.

I was happy to see that Kaizen offers a really great deal for a two-week trial package that includes unlimited cardio kickboxing and TRX! This was perfect for me to try out classes to get a feel of things before making a longer commitment. The regular monthly fee is very reasonable too! The fact that the monthly fee covers unlimited kickboxing and TRX motivates me to make the most of it and go routinely. I'm a 30 something year old, and it's nice to see that both kickboxing and TRX at Kaizen suit people of all ages and backgrounds. Signing up for classes that fit my work schedule is easy and flexible through the app. Kickboxing is an excellent workout. It really gets the heart rate up and the sweat going. What pleasantly surprised me was trying TRX for the first time because I had zero familiarity with it. TRX is easy for me to follow because of the pacing. It really is a full body workout. I find TRX more doable than pilates, which I personally find too difficult. TRX is fun using straps as a workout tool, also making it pretty unique. Both kickboxing and TRX are 45-minute classes, and it feels like the perfect amount of time. Classes aren't long, and that allows me to have the energy to go multiple times per week. The location is very convenient for me and there's plenty of parking. Jody, the instructor for both kickboxing and TRX, is an inspiration because she teaches so many classes and is a great instructor/model! She's friendly, patient, personable, and approachable. She helps you get the techniques and correct postures for moves, so she'll also keep you accountable! Also, I've found that the people who attend classes are very friendly and cool. There's zero judgement nor egos from what I observe! In summary, Kaizen is great! You get to enjoy classes and enjoy seeing/feeling yourself get more fit and healthy! Give it a try if you're curious. You've got nothing to lose, except fat and calories!
