The show was in the back room which was brightly lit, laid out with about 20 lightweight wooden fold-up chairs but no tables (so ok to hold a drink in your hand but you wouldn't be able to eat a meal back here). There was a physical bar in the room but no drinks or staff. There's also a unisex restroom in here. The rest of the bar is low lighting, but clean and had a few tables in addition to the bar seating to enjoy a meal. Service was great and they had a handful of good beers on tap.

Due to the pandemic, I did everything over the internet. The gentleman I dealt with was only concerned with helping me get exactly what I wanted. With incredible patience he provided me with specific information, checked inventories and made suggestions. After I made my final decisions, he explained all of the options available for assembly and delivery. The day after I made my decisions I physically went into the the store to pay for my selections. All of the paperwork needed was prepared and waiting at the front desk. This entire process was fast, easy and a perfect example of stellar customer service. I will definitely be going back here many, many times.

My project today required quart-sized paint samples in multiple colors to complete my DYI corn hole boards in a watermelon design. The whole adventure of shopping at the Holland Hardware is a walk down memory lane. In addition to a great paint department, I love the well-stocked garden and outdoor recreation items. While most area stores are completely wiped out of vegetable seed, Holland Hardware still has a full selection of seed for my second crop of summer veggies. Today I snagged a package of endive seed to fill in my rows. Looking forward to completing my game boards in time for the high school graduation party we're hosting!

However I have found myself here twice in the past week. The first time was to try to find pruners that can be used standing. While we were not able to find those, sadly, the owner (I think) and his employee went out of their way to see how they could help me. Then, a few days later, I find myself on a mission to find a certain kind of plant food. I had already checked at Home Depot while buying bird seed, but they had not had it come in for over a year and were not sure when it was coming in. I called Walmart, Loews, and two garden stores in the area too. They did not have any in stock either. On a whim I stopped in here again, asked the employee if they had it, he took me to the aisle and there it was!! I scooped up the two boxes they had. This store looks small from the outside, but it is quite large once inside. It is next to and connected to the Schuele Paint Store, more or else on the corner of Summer and Main. Rather than travel to the suburbs, I will go here first now, they are helpful, pleasant, local and easy to get to.
