I'll never take my animals to this PetCo again. I'll start going across the highway too the other pet store! I've seen these guys at the festival the last couple of years and last year we tried to buy a cat tree from them, but waited until Monday afternoon, only to find out that they had actually sold out of them for the weekend! We could have ordered one from them, but didn't and instead we got down to the festival early on Sunday this year so we could get first pick of the many cat trees they brought with them....and I think we got a great one! Gary and Will are both great guys who do amazing work in building these cat trees. When I came back later that afternoon to pick up the one we had purchased, they even used a dolly to bring it all the way to my SUV, which I'd double parked on the street with the emergency flashers blinking. Who does that anymore...especially after they've already got your money several hours earlier?! I asked them if they had a Yelp page and they said they did NOT....so I'm leaving this 5-STAR review so that the rest of the Yelpers out there will know that you can trust these guys to build your pet a great tree or perch and it will last for many years being made of Manzanita and Cedar wood! We have 5 cats, 2 are Maine Coons and BIG! We have 2 (4 tier) cat trees and they all love them. One…read moretree has a house on top and it is a race to see who gets to hang out in there. The trees are sturdy and very well made, worth every penny. We have a cat fence in system in our backyard so the cats can be in the garden but cannot get out. We have one tree outside and as they love to be up high they will be found hanging out there. It is far away from the fence or any tree so no escape route. I painted the wood on that tree as was recommended by Gary for outside use. It is holding up very well after 2 years. Very satisfied with these trees and all 5 cats give them a 5* rating! I am going to get another so there is less competition for the top.

I was lucky enough to meet the owner. He has been in business for 29 years. Besides being super knowledgeable about birds and the local areas, he was just a super cool person to talk to. They sell birdseed by the pound. They have about 12 varieties of seed priced from $1.50-$2.59. The inventory is current and the shop is clean and decorated in a fun, fresh way. The item that caught my eye was the $9.95 laminated compact foldable field guide of art illustrated birds with descriptions. Well one of the many items that caught my eye.
