I forget how fun it is to walk into Tractor Supply until I come in for something I need. Today, my client and I were coming for some feed for her Roosters, Lynard and Marshall. On the way in, parking is a little wonky. If you pull in before you turn the corner, you go through a gas station. If you turn in after making the turn, you have to park in the first row, if there is parking, otherwise, parking is at the wrong angel if you pull into the 2nd row, so it's best if you go though the gas station. The entrance to the store has tractors and such out front. Along with some gardening plants. Those look strong and healthy. The doors to the store are narrow, followed by a few shopping carts. You walk in and steer yourself to the far right to enter the store. It starts off with great quality clothes. We're talking jeans, t-shirts, shoes and hats! Are you are done admiring those, you move onto the rest of the store. We were here for feed for the roosters. Tractor Supply has a great variety to choose from. They have treats and regular foods available. Set ups and gardening tools, tractors and mowers. Back yard set ups like tables and chairs, lounge chairs, too. I purchased a gun safe here a few years back and it is a top notch high quality security that makes me feel like my guns are safe. Let's not forget about the chick's and the ducklings!!! You have to stop and visit them! Get a look at their cute little waddley butts!!! I wish I had a chicken coop or a pound for ducks! Maybe I will soon, who knows! With the help of Tractor Supply, they could get me all set up!! Today, I purchased peanuts for the squirrels and some solar powered wind chimes... they light up at night! They were at a 15% discount, and they were a good size with a beautiful sound for around $22!! I think we spent around an hour here between looking around and purchasing our goodies I'll be back soon... because I need plants for my garden!! read more

I've shopped at various Tractor Supply shops but this one seems to have the most knowledgeable and friendliest staff on average. On my last visit, I was looking for particular gardening container and patio set that they carried last year. I described the look of both items, the person we spoke to remembered the stock. But he stated the spring inventory will be coming in a few weeks as well as the baby chicks. He also helped us with livestock tanks which were on sale. Another associate spoke to us about the insulated cooler we were eyeing. No hard sell just a conversation about the item. That too was on sale at a great price. But by golly, I gotta stay focused in this shop. Lots of great brands, good prices. I can get carried away. Hubs struck up a conversation with another associate, they spoke about all the past businesses at this location while discussing the gas griddles and bbqs. Again not in the market for a gas griddle, that too was on sale, over 20% off. But I gotta say, the women's restroom could use an upgrade in the toilets and addition of toilet seat covers. read more

Did a pick up for an order and even though my app shows my full name (first and last) as well as my photo that matches my appearance in person...dude sent me out in pouring rain to get my ID. It is NOT in our contract to show physical ID and to ONLY show our app details for pick up which protects our PII information from being seen. Every other rep accepts the information in the app because that is what is verifiable information from Roadie. Wanted to see all the details of my ID before releasing the order: name, expiration dates, address, etc. all of which isn't even needed. As a female, this is concerning. Why did you need my ID when my delivery app has all the information you need except my address?? Fishy and scary. Rep was argumentative and combative with his words and demeanor. Not Happy with the Auburn store ! Will start making all our trips to the Grass Valley store . Can't find anyone to help with loading at Auburn store and Cashier didn't even offer to get help . Pretty tough loading and unloading 10 -50pound bags of horse feed ‍ And Another annoyance is Why have 5 or 6 handicapped spaces up front ( in front of the store ) and Not at least a couple Veterans spots in front where it is flat ground like they have in Grass Valley ! Instead Veteran spaces are out a ways and on a hill ( really hard trying to keep your cart in place with 500 pounds of feed on it and trying to unload at same time ! What a fabulous staff at this Tractor Supply. Extremely engaging, helpful, friendly and punctual. I went to Tractor Supply for a gate for our new fence, I had called around to Hills Flat (Grass Valley and Colfax), Home Depot, etc., and no one from those stores could tell me what they had in stock. When I called Tractor Supply, the guy didn't even hesitate and went out back to check on stock and see what my options were. He came back to the phone less than 7 minutes later and rattled off the 3 choices I had at 14 feet. I was blown away at this service and ended up buying a whole bunch of other things on top of the gate. When I went in to buy everything I laughed because the gates are in the very rear so the guy who helped me on the phone would have been running to get to the back, check stock and then get back to me in less than 7 minutes on hold. This all was Sunday morning, around 11 AM. I just received the delivery today, Monday, around 9 AM. I am absolutely blown away at the level of service and delivery I received and will be making this Tractor Supply my first stop. Rick the storage manager and his staff are A+ in my book. read more

The employees are super nice. The only problem I have is the newer stores manager. I have seen her yelling at the employees in front of the customers and I believe that it is very unprofessional. I have never had a more negative vibe than I do from her. It makes me not want to go there anymore. If a stores manager cannot respect their own employees then how is it possible for them to respect their customers? My husband and I have been coming here for years. Today, the store manager Rick helped us out and provided incredible service. We went up to the counter to pay for a 14 ft gate we spotted in the back. We were planning on driving it home and putting it in our 6 ft truck bed. He talked us though the laws and their delivery options. We started talking about our project and he offered some great advice and we ended up getting 7 more things. I had my shop compressor catch on fire and in Reno no one had a compressor available - shop was at a stand still.. Got online and Auburn was the closest. Called to confirm since i been burned by our local TSC that shows stock and doesnt have it. Wish I wrote down names ( dealt with five employees in total) to give credit but everyone we dealt with was very polite and helpfull. From loading, wandering the store and got great dinner advise since it was a 3 hour round trip. read more

They have tools, fittings, screws, garden equipment, vegetables to grow, tractors, fencing, from chain link to chicken wire. They even had canning supplies! My only complaint is that I came to return boots I purchased online. I had the packing slip and tags but I was asked to show the confirmation email of my purchase which I didn't have. I've been shopping for a BMS Stallion 600 UTV for quite a long time. They have a great online sale going, with special financing credits available and no hidden "freight" or "set up" fees. I had to pull the trigger! The staff was absolutely amazing to work with, and made ma aware of every option I had to receive discounts & credits. I took (free) delivery within 2 days of order. Last month I bought 2 fruit trees in pots for $39 dollars each approx. The buds had not yet begun to swell. I just thought it was too early. When I got them home to plant them, I discovered that they were formerly bare root plants that had been likely too late stuck into pots and the roots showed zero signs of life. When I asked the store if they would refund me they said no. First of all bare root plants cost less than rooted potted plants, so this store doubled its money at my expense. Absolutely livid. Just got notification that items I had purchased were delivered and noticed the insane shipping charge. I visited your store a week and a half ago and purchased a Retriever Kennel, extension panels, dog house and 10x10 roof cover. I was told at the time that the all weather panels were out of stock but could be ordered for me. The sales associate attempted to get me to use the self service kiosk, but I asked him to handle the transaction. If I wanted to order online and pay shipping, I would not have bothered to come into the store. He provided me with the price, but did not mention the $30 shipping charge. For $50 worth of regular stock merchandise. That was to be delivered to the store. Which requires me to drive almost half an hour to pick up. If I had known this, I would have declined the purchase. Hell, on principle I may have purchased the whole set up elsewhere. Please be aware that failure to on the part of TSC to rectify this will result in the loss of a customer. "Jasmine" the new manger whom I spoke with about common horse products had no idea what I was referring to .. she put me on hold at least 15 min .. !! Hung up and called back it was another clueless sales person !! I drove up during an awful storm high winds, 15-20 mph, I arrived at 7:55 pm. She saw me drive up and locked the doors and told me she couldn't let me in, since everything was shut down. You can't imagine how Upsetting, & Furious I was .. she couldn't care a less with regular customers. There was no excuse!! No professionalism , she Was very abusive , with fowl language!! From here I will be posting on my Instagram with my 150, 000 followers letting others know what kind of customer service you can expect . Sadly, they have gone down hill!!!, When are they going to get a clue and stop hiring anyone that applies!! If this continues I will have no other recourse to let others know in many local organizations I've been affiliated with for the last 16 years. After several years of shopping at this store I am constantly disappointed in the terrible management. The shelves are empty every time I go in to get my dog food I have to ask someone to check the back. This weekend they had a 15% off special and no one would bring up the massive amounts of dog food sitting in the back (I saw it) or give me a rain check for the discounted price. Terrible terrible management. We did a computer search for the dog food and every other store has it!! We checked 10 other locations. Thanks to Matt who is incredibly knowledge and helpful; especially with suggestions on keeping the tarp where the tarp is tarping. Good salesperson. And even tho he's finer than frog hair and I'd talk tarp raising with him outback in my truck anytime, the compliments and sale would have been made even if he won't Hawt. Ok.. That's a lie. I threw in one tarp for Hawt but the three were still two more than I fetched for so WinWin Tarp that MF Win for all. I had picked out the wrong chicken feed, and had to get assistance in finding the right one. Then Seth offered to put it in my cart and take the other one back on the shelf. I don't know what happened to the manager Vern but when he was there at least people were working. I called Tractor supply co at 4:30 pm on Monday April 13th 2020. I wanted see if there was a 550 gallon water storage tank in stock. I was told there were several. I asked if there was a delivery option and was told due to the size of the tank there was not. On Tuesday day at 8 am I rented a truck from the local Home depot and came over to pick up the tank. I was rung up at the register and told to wait while they got someone to load it up for me. A few minutes later I was told there were none in stock. I asked if there were any similar tanks in size and quality and was told they did have a 360 gallon tank. I ask what the price was and they said $429. When I asked why it was only $70 cheaper but almost half the size, I got a shrug. I asked to see a manager. I waited 10 minutes then a thin young man with dark hair and a beard (didn't get the name), came over. I told him based on information given to me just before closing the previous night, I rented truck and I asked if there was anything he could do for me on the price. His response was No, there is nothing I can do. I said OK, but I do have another unrelated question. Last week I purchased 100 ft 4 rolls of Red Brand horse fencing at $115 per roll and noticed after the purchase that Lowes had the same exact brand and type fencing for $90 per roll, Which is a difference of $100. His response was "I didn't know Lowes carried Red Brand Fence...Anything else?" I said no, and he walked away. I then went to the cashier still kind of stunned from the encounter and asked the cashier to start the refund on the tank I bought but that they did not have. She apologized for the whole experience as she was only feet away and whispered to me that I could bring in the receipt and pull the price up on the Lowes website and they would refund the difference. I am not sure that after I get the refund on the fence I will every set foot in the store again. which is sad because I really liked this retail outlet and I have had many good experiences (Which I have unfortunately not written about). This is a review about TSC store in Grass Valley, Ca. but am sure information applies to all TSC stores. Totally dishonest. I made a 2 part order via online. They confirmed they had part one of order and I picked it up. They said they didn't have the 2nd item and so nothing was done. However, I noticed a hold was put on my card for amount of that item, even tho they said the couldn't get it. I called and they assured me that item would not be charged to my account until it was picked up and as they didn't have nor couldn't get item, I wouldn't be charged. 3 days later my card was charged for this item thru paypal. I called store and they referred me to, manager who said she had nothing to do with it and I had to call company offices to straighten this out. I called and got run around again. I have filed complaint with paypal and paypal then sent them a questionare and they refuse to answer this. Stay away from anything they sell unless you have it in hand.
