I had questions about caring for these plants -- repotting, fertilizing, etc. Their expert wasn't in the store, but before I got home (Columbia --30 minutes away), he called to answer my questions. Very nice, very helpful. I also bought some produce (great place for local peaches and tomatoes and more), some frozen meat, and a couple of small gifts. LOVE this place. I'll be back.

I said I'd need to drop her off on the way to work around 8 am. It wasn't until I got home that evening that I looked it up and saw they didn't even open until 9:30. They didn't even mention that because they wanted to work around MY schedule. You cannot beat the knowledge and customer service of this store. If you love your animal and want the best care for them, give Lazy Creek a visit. They are truly amazing.

Before leaving, I called at 9:00 a.m. to let the store know I was on my way to pick up my order. When I arrived around 10:40 a.m., the experience immediately went downhill. I stood at the customer service desk while three employees were present, yet no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed assistance. Everyone appeared frustrated and completely uninterested in helping customers. After waiting, I finally got someone to assist me. Unfortunately, it only got worse. By the time my order was being loaded around 11:15 a.m., the two employees handling the pickup were rude, short, and abrasive. There was no greeting, no communication, and no appreciation for the fact that I was picking up a significant order. I work in Greenville and rarely shop the Columbia location, and this experience reminded me why. The difference in customer service between the two stores is night and day. Greenville has consistently been professional, friendly, and helpful. Columbia, on the other hand, made what should have been a simple pickup stressful and frustrating. When customers spend thousands of dollars and plan their day around picking up materials, they deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the Columbia location. If you have the option, I would strongly suggest driving to the Greenville store instead.

As what I witnessed, the store mis-priced some bird seed (?) and would not honor the price (customer service rule #1) - then ... argued and threatened to call the police on this woman who just was asking them to honor the price marked! The "manager" came out and was incredibly unprofessional and rude to this lady. My advice is to send their staff to customer service training and do the right thing in the future.

Donnie is the Big Green Egg man and this guy knows his stuff. He took quite a bit of time explaining how the Egg worked and ensured I was comfortable. In short I bought the Large Egg and a new Webber Grill for those quick burgers when I don't have a lot of time. Customer service is outstanding!! Will be back!!

Alas, they were out of Pawpaw trees! I went to MCG and found a selection of Pawpaws! Yay! I also browsed plants and took pictures of several I might integrate into my backyard oasis this year. I put my name down on a list for pink Muhly grass and am looking forward to a call when they come in. Additionally I found a South Carolina Allspice to add to our yard for fragrance. Last fall I went in looking for an evergreen shrub for my sloped yard and bought 2 Coastal Doghobbles. They are lovely and happily growing where they can help stabilize soil on the terraced slope. I will keep returning to MCG for native plants even though it's a 30 minute drive from my house because they have the best selection of native plants AND they are well organized with excellent staff!
