I guess not all Tractor Supply stores are the same... My first experience with this chain was with the New Hartford (I reviewed it) store. While this particular location didn't carry everything that it's New Hartford store does, the Enfield store is still pretty amazing. You'll find what you need for garden & yard needs, animal feeding, clothes, and whatnot needed to be self-sufficient. If you've never been, I think you will enjoy the visit. One time I called the store because I was looking online for OBD II READER & I asked the woman that picked up the phone if they had any in stock. Sounded like she didn't know what it was and also said No. So, I ordered it online for pick up. When I first called and asked I was 30 minutes away. Exited I have one of these stores in my back yard now, not so excited for being a farmer of cows but something has to help pay the bills lol. Place is clean and inviting (hope it stays like this through the years), well lit, and the service has been good to me. I really like Tractor Supply, and have bought a lot of stuff there, but my main concern is there lack of inventory. Multiple times I have gone there and the thing I wanted wasn't on the shelf. Especially lawn fertilizer and cat food. I've had to order online and do store pickup because they didn't have what I needed. Staff is pretty friendly, but can be hard to find if you have a question. It's the best at what it is, because few stores carry the items TSC does anymore. I recently started raising chickens and have been going here regularly for feed and pine shavings. Tractor Supply Company always has the things I need that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I'm not a farmer, but I do have quite a few pets, a prolific garden, and hobbies that include canning and ice cream making. TSC excels in the "seasonal" items department. When it's canning season, they have tons of mason jars in all sizes with all the accessories. When it's flea and tick season, they offer cheap deals on flea and tick repellents for pets. I specifically appreciate that TSC carries a lot of "homesteading" material, whether it be how-to magazines, cookbooks, farming/gardening books, fencing and other garden/farm needs, kitchen supplies, or pet/animal care items. If my dog gets a minor injury, or my cat's not feeling well, the first place I go is TSC for some basic care items. You may need to know ahead of time what you need to buy, as the last time I tried to buy a broad-spectrum antibiotic powder, the staff I asked had no idea what I was talking about. Thankfully, I knew exactly what it was and what it looked like and was able to find it on my own after awhile. The set up of this location doesn't really make sense to me, and while it's similar to other TSC store layouts, it seems more cramped and I always have a difficult time finding stuff. Also, like other reviewers mention, the line to check out always takes awhile. Usually there's only 1 cashier and each register has a very small counter (not much room for the next person to set their stuff down). Go, but know what you're looking for. I hate the layout but like the stuff. Usually you can get better stuff at better prices than Home Depot and Lowes for specialty items like fences, fence gates, dog stuff, planting stuff, chippers, chainsaw parts, mower blades, electric fence supplies. BASICALLY, if you can't find it at home depot and has to do with gardening, live stock or fencing then it is probably here. The hardware selection is a little lame, the tools are decent but nothing you couldn't get in HD/Lowe's. The layout is really congested and the two registers at the front always feel like a wait, other than that the things that they sell are of high quality. read more

I love shopping at Tractor supply! They have just about everything for your farm or ranch, or they can order for you. Usually their employees have rural upbringing and know how to help you, unlike some clueless employees at other businesses. As a horse owner, I come to TSC for horse related supplies such as buckets, deworming medicine, and other assorted horse items. It is nice to see TSC carrying BOTH English AND Western tack for horses- not something you see at all. One down fall, is that after a while they completely ran out of deworming medicine each time I went there. I now order my horse medicine online through a different company but still like the fact that there's a store in the middle of Enfield which carries some horse items! So.. YAY! read more
