The seasonal items can be expensive, but their regular items seem reasonably priced. Usually I stop in for chicken and dog supplies. Not everything is price labelled and it's a little disorganized. The employees are friendly and the website is easy to use. Sometimes I'll pull up the item on the website to see what the price is and if it is in stock to save time. They sell numerous items and many of them are available for delivery and/or pick-up. They even offer pet prescriptions. Nothing to complain about here, but my favorite feature to this place is their full-self-service dog washing station. I've brought my dog here twice with good results both times. There are two elevated metal tubs, but last time only one was working. They supply shampoo in large jugs (haha I said "large jugs!") with different scents. I've used oatmeal and cucumber melon. The last one is my favorite. There are brushes there too, but they are always dirty. One time, a worker was late in bringing me fresh towels. Okay look, they don't make it perfect, hence the one star loss, but it's an incredible service for $10. When you're done, you can also use the air drying station to buff your pooch up extra pretty. We live in Raleigh NC and go to tractor supply in Garner to wash our dog. Service there is great! Thought we'd try out the Fuquay location, mistake! This usually takes about 25-35 minutes for us to drive to. Was informed that we could wait until someone was done because the stations were full. No problem, it's a Saturday and retail is busy. We waited and a stall came available. I asked my wife to ask an associate to clean the station because of the amount of pet hair from the previous customer. My wife was told we had to wait until the other station was done until they wanted to clean both stations. For context, one station was empty and they wanted us to wait until the other one was also empty so they could clean them both at the same time. The reasoning given was "because it's just easier for us". Asked for a refund and was told we could come back the next day because it wouldn't be as busy. Also called the corporate office to file a complaint. All we wanted was the hair to be removed from the washing station, but Susan refused to have anyone help us. read more

Called yesterday looking for 2 40 lb propane tanks and spoke to Jon. he was courteous and very friendly and very helpful. He went out to the yard to put his hands on to to make sure they have them in stock. We showed up about an hour later, he bought us with a smile. Helped us right away. I like Tractor Supply. It always takes me back to my childhood growing up on a working farm with good memories of my dad. I stop in to by equestrian pellets that I use as car litter. Much better for the environment than clay litter! No dust and contains smells well (try it for yourself). My only complaint it that the pallet of pellets seems to always be in a different place, so I wonder around -which is a good marketing strategy on their part $$. Better signage may be helpful. Tractor Supply in Fuquay Varina is great. Every business has had a lot of changes ever since the pandemic started in 03/2020. This store has had consistent friendly employees that are very helpful and knowledgeable. The employees may not always know the answer to a question, however, they ask others or get the answer for you. I also find that asking other customers helps too, as this town is such a friendly place to live. The Tractor Supply here always has beautiful decor, dog/cat food, greenery, chickens and much more. Tractor Supply is a great store. They have a little bit of everything here. I buy dog food, store brand from here. I make a special trip every other week. It is a great price, made in the US, grain free, and the first ingredient is protein. I also purchase chicken feed, animal medical supplies, and treats here. Every Saturday they have a vaccination clinic. You bring your dog or cat and can get vaccinations for a fraction of the cost you would pay at the vet. They also do stool testing, microchip, and medications. Get there early if you go. The clinic is only a hour and half long and people line up quickly! The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the store is small and outdated. I never can get a cart or if I do get one and it's broken. They only have 1 or 2 cashiers and lines can get long. They also don't offer as many products as other Tractor Supply I have been too. read more

I love this place. I have everything I need for my dog and cat. Treats healthy food and toys. I love to go by and look at the cute chicks in the spring. I still don't know if I can buy chickens and own them. I don't think so. You can also buy The yearly vaccinations for your pets minus the rabies shots. I've been to other locations of Tractor Supply in the past, and have always had a good experience. They have a nice variety of products, a helpful staff, and I can usually find what I need. This morning I was looking for a couple items with no luck and had to ask for help. This is where the 2 star review comes in. I felt like I was disturbing the employees who were socially chatting... only to hear that "we probably don't have that", although on the website, it said that in fact they do carry it. After further prompting, the employee finally asked someone in the stockroom. This stockroom employee was helpful and found what I was looking for right away. Ultimately, your employees are the face of your company. I'm all for hiring young people, and giving them an opportunity to learn. Unfortunately, the front-of-the-store employees interacting with customers at this store seem uninterested at best, annoyed to help at worst. read more

It's our go to place to get reasonable dog food. What is nice they have a clinic for dogs and cats to get vaccinations.

I have never had a good experience at this tractor supply. For starters, customer service is a joke. Employees are often chatting with each other and find it annoying when customers have questions. Today I sat at the register while the cashier and another employee gossiped. The cashier did not make eye contact with me throughout the entire checkout process. This is after I spent too much time trying to find an employee to price check some items for me. Apparently they haven't had time to put prices on the items outside. Her words. Previous experiences have included me ordering an item, calling to check it was in, showing up same day it arrived, arriving and being told they did not have enough staff to unpack the deliveries, so I should check back I'm a week. I checked back 3 days later and my item had been unpacked... and sold. Palm to forhead. Aside from having worse customer service than a middle school bakesale run by the students themselves, the inventory sucks. They must shelf like one of each thing per week. I keep hoping it'll get better - the location is really convenient - but I think I'll drive down to LL from now on. read more

I showed up 15 minutes before closing this week and was greeted with a smiling face. I felt so bad showing up shortly before closing (I live over an hour away from this location near Wilson, NC) but I needed a few things that only the Fuquay location would have and I had a friend and a truck to finally be able to make it work. Theresa(?) was the manager on and she was very helpful and personally helped us load the mats we needed keeping her there a few minutes after closing. Knowing I was coming in advance they had even pulled a few smaller items that I needed off of the shelf. The cashier (young girl) was super sweet and the young guy were awesome as well. It is always dirty, no carts are available or broken, supplies are very limited and usually 1 cashier with long lines. This is not CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have been a Tractor Supply customer for over 20 years and have been to numerous locations. The Fuquay Varina store has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. I was treated rudely and told not to call their corporate office by a store manager as "my opinion would not count and they would only result in them getting a slap on the wrist" when I could not get past a lecture from him about their purchasing procedures. They are consistently out of stock on items and if asked to check to see if maybe there is more in the back, you are treated like an inconvenience. The people at the check out counter have been nice but if management can't manage and treat customers well or if the store doesn't carry enough product, their helpfulness isn't enough to carry business. I have walked out empty handed numerous times when basic things have been out of stock. I won't be going back and I will tell my friends as well. Very disappointed. read more

I have tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt numerous times but their customer service needs serious improvement. Beyond the poor customer service they are highly unorganized and lack knowledge of their products. On more than one occasion I've called to check if certain large items are in stock and requested them put aside with my name for a pick up later that day. Bought a trailer/hitch three weeks ago, was told title would be notarized and mailed to me the following day. Three and a half weeks later, still no title. None of my phone calls were returned and manager was never in when I called. After two weeks, asst. mgr. said she'd put it in mail, took 3.5 weeks and a call to district/regional office to finally get my title. Shady stuff going on there, or at best, just stupidity.
