We had a lovely chat with the owner, who informed us that she does custom orders, and also attends various events where she sells in-person. We had a lovely conversation, where we discussed the importance of rescuing animals, our particular new dog's difficult story prior to us rescuing him, etc. She said all the right things and we wanted to support her business, given that she seemed to care about supporting rescue animals. We made a purchase on some custom goods, and were promised a two week delivery. Like a fool, and because she seemed like a decent person, I paid up front. Big mistake. Items never arrived. All messages on social media have been ignored and disregarded, even when I attempted to handle it reasonably. Dropped off the face the earth, took our money, and ran. I find it deplorable to play to the heartstrings of people who want to purchase items for their animals, then to literally steal from them. Avoid this business at all costs.

I went into redeem some coupons I had and the exact items I needed were not available and the owner was willing to see if she could order them. Since it was trial sized and just two cans of food, I did not want to bother her with it since coupons were expiring. The following week, I got a coupon for a size of dog food that I saw that the shop carried. I was able to get a $18.99 bag of premium dog food for just the cost of sales tax which made me very happy. They carry lots of specialty treats for your furry companions.

Since no one here has the experience or interest in doing so, I contacted a few local businesses that advertised installation and maintenance of tanks. I was given Donnie Hook's number, who is apparently the owner. We chatted a bit on the phone about what I was looking for and he offered to stop by to look at the space. He stopped by around 1:30pm and I showed him the area we were looking to put the tank, we talked budget, freshwater vs saltwater, various decor options, etc. All seemed well and he asked for my number in order to "send me photos of what's available" and asked that I text him my email address so that he could put together some estimates and proposals. I did so and thought nothing of it. Shortly thereafter he started sending me text messages asking if I would leave work and meet him for a drink. At 1:30pm. I politely declined. After a week without any emails from him, I sent him a text saying that I still hoped to see some estimates from him. He responded with "Hey ,sorry. I will send today". I still have not received anything. It has now been 3 weeks. I was really hoping that since this place is local and he made it seem like he could definitely do what we were looking for, it would be a great fit to do business.
