In its place, a vintage shop, full of cut crystal, blown glass, small furnishings, Some costume jewelry pieces and an abundance of Crystal and China. The shop is run by a lady from Alabama, who, even after 43 years managed to keep her delightful accent. I want this place to work and thrive but I fear that the buying market won't support the mission. This is not a consignment shop but you will find pieces that you would expect to find in a consignment shop. Many of the items are priced fairly and they are in good condition. Some of the clothing in the back are not in keeping with the Quality of the collectibles, in my opinion. I definitely miss Simplicity and the ability to consign locally. I did see a few items in this shop that I may return for. I'd encourage you to look for yourself. Leave big, bulky coats, and bags at home because they do have items set closely together, and many are unbreakable. please use caution. Friendly, welcoming, staff and montages based on color, style, and decade, make it fun to know how things could fit together in your place.

Dawn was very professional, & knowledgeable. She handled my order from designing stage to the final processing order stage. I ended up having some material which was too short & needed to be returned. I ended up going to the poughkeepsie store of Page Lumber as the size of the new material I needed was in stock at this location. I scheduled a pick up of the old material from my house as it was too large for me to return in my car. The old items were picked up from my house on 5-31-22. I never received a receipt for the pickup. I contacted the poughkeepsie store & spoke with someone by the name of Meghan who told me that she would email me a pickup receipt for my records & that credit for the return would be processed with 5 business days. I never received the pickup receipt & I have emailed her 3 times. No response. I am also still waiting for the credit for the return which is just about 600.00. I have placed numerous calls to poughkeepsie store to inquire on the refund. They either never answer the phone OR when you do finally get through, you get bounced around from dept to dept, person to person, OR voicemail in which no one returns your call. Very very unprofessional horrible experience I have had with this location. I am still waiting for my credit. Needless to say I will never shop the poughkeepsie location again. My recommendation: go to the store to see items in person and then order them online from Lowes...usually free delivery. Anything to avoid Poughkeepsie/Lowes Federal Penitentiary!
