I love Wylie Wagg and this location is no exception!…read more As I have found typical to most pet boutiques, It's easy to cater mostly to dogs and dog lovers with all the specialty foods, toys, treats, grooming products, and other random dog centered items you could think of. However, WW also has a small cat room in the back that holds a well selected (albeit somewhat limited) variety of merchandise for feline lovers. I have purchased a little bit of everything here (when I am in the area) and have nothing but good things to say about them. I have even noticed that their products seem to outlast some of their competitors cheaper quality items. Lastly, the staff really could not be more lovely! It is pretty obvious they only hire pet lovers and seem to genuinely care about their customers and the overall community.

Wylie Wagg is a great pet shop, and the first I have been into (but had heard good things about)…read more It was the first time we had been to Middleburg, and the Beloved Goldendoodle led me right in there as we walked down the main street. A nice selection of good-quality food, treats and toys, and they also carry my favorite leashes from UpCountry. I would have bought one, but they only had the narrow widths, and I like the regular 1" width for the boy. However, I will definitely stop into their other locations should I pass them, and if I find myself in Middleburg ever again, I'm sure there will be a return visit. The ladies working were very nice, and I commented to my friend that if I were ever to work in a shop, I would want it to be a pet store since the customers tend to be the friendliest on earth!

Puppy City - I adopted a cavapoo last year and this has been the best experience I have ever had! I highly recommend adopting a puppy here.

Went to visit a Westie puppy named Annie this past weekend that was already 4.5 months old. She'll…read morebe 5 months on July 19th. When we were there, we negotiated an agreed upon price by both parties. I discovered she has a large umbilical hernia while we spent time with her. Amazing that no one knew she had it or they just played dumb. They told me they would pay to have the hernia repaired. We decided to wait and I called my vet to see what the hernia repair would cost. I called yesterday and offered to pay that much less (the cost of the surgery) for the dog because I don't want to have to try and collect the money and I'm not sure they truly would have honored what they said about paying for the surgery. I told them that I would take the dog home that night but they refused to budge on the original agreed upon price. All I wanted them to do was subtract what it was going to cost to repair the hernia. They refused. So were they really going to honor their commitment to pay me for the repair? Highly doubt it. I was put on the phone with Connie, who refused to back down on the price. I said, "I'm willing to give this dog a home tonight. She has been with you for too long." It didn't matter. I don't know if she didn't understand the math or just wasn't going to keep their word on paying to repair the hernia. She told me she was going to call me back after talking to the owner. She called back today and told me the owner still said no. So that poor dog will continue to sit because I simply wanted to collect the money up front for the hernia repair surgery and they refused. They're unethical and really don't care about those puppies. They can tell you all they want about how much they care, but you should have seen the small 'crib' she was sharing with a larger Shiba Inu puppy. There was no room for them both. My heart breaks for Annie. She could have had a home with us.

Sold my daughter a very sick dog that was the wrong breed. My daughter took the dog to the vet…read morerepeatedly for the first 9 days and did everything she could. The vet recommended that she return the dog and provided her with the proper legal documentation to provide the shop with. When my daughter went to return the dog on the 10th day in accordance with Virginias Pet Purchaser Protection Act the rude manager, same Connie from Hallie S.'s review a little lower down (her sons the owner), called the vet incompetent, said the dog was just a little sick, even though it's on meds for giardia, and refused to honor the contract. We are suing. She informed my daughter that she's been doing this for 65 years and can't be stopped. Lol!! While my daughter was in the shop trying to return the dog, the dog she purchased's brother was bought out from the back and sold to another customer. The staff purposely bought the dog past my daughter's dog so that she would get excited just as someone else took him away. Evil behavior. Shop elsewhere if you want an honorable experience.
