I do not recommend this place at all just go to petsmart it's better and the people are better.

None of the meds really described what was happening with my puppy and she walked up and told me to just give him Cairo syrup and that would clear everything out. She was right she was brilliant and I appreciate that. Second visit was a nightmare. Because of the lady that I first encountered the first time I decided to go ahead and book a grooming appointment for my standard poodle. They called to let me know that he was ready or would be soon I get here my puppy yelping in pain from the grooming room. I thought maybe this was just standard for the first time he was getting groomed when I got him home. I found 6 to 8 Knicks From where he been with the clippers. I was furious. I went back at time to look at it. Ask questions about worming medication. It was time for him to get some more worm prevention medication. The lady was different. This time was maybe a manager type asked me how long I had had my Papi if I had ever had one before that young. I said it's been a long time. She told me that the medication and she grabbed the box it was gonna be $68. She smiled and went to a veterinarian and they let me know that she shouldn't be advising and they got me what I needed for $18 I'll never go back to supply was injured. The lady was a scam artist and does not really care about the health of well care of pets.

This (chilly!) morning we had a really special opportunity to tour Kentucky Equine Adoption Center…read more(KyEAC) as part of Horse Country's community-based event: Meet the Neighbors. I'm SO happy this annual program has returned post-COVID! KyEAC is the largest all-breed equine rescue in Kentucky, situated on 72 rolling acres on Catnip Hill Road in Nicholasville. Right now they have 48 horses available for adoption, with 4 more on the way, and a waitlist a mile long. At any given time they have ~50% thoroughbreds, plus wild/feral horses, and horses from the strip mines of Eastern Kentucky. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, part of their mission is to find the perfect home and purpose for every horse - whether as therapeutic companions, trail horses, or pasture ponies. On the tour - led by Susan Powers - we learned how KyEAC operates, met all the horses and heard their stories, and were treated to a short demonstration in the arena. I was floored. The staff and volunteers at KyEAC are doing amazing work advocating and caring for our most noble and precious symbols of the Bluegrass State. This tour felt much more impactful and important than the standard, showboat, multimillion dollar farms with active racehorses or breeding operations (which are fun, too, I've seen several!), and I would encourage anyone to book a tour (link below) with Horse Country and experience this wonderful place for themselves! https://visithorsecountry.com/book-your-tour/#id=kentucky-equine-humane-center-nicholasville

I have been in the fish keeping hobby for my entire life and was able to make good conversation and find what I was looking for! I picked up 6 cpds and two pygmy cory's to add to my shoal of 4. They also have a wonderful variety of freshwater plants and fish. I have had a lot of difficulty finding many species that I've been wanting to stock my tank with, especially plants, and wanted to give this place a shot! The owners were very helpful, and explained to me the situation involving being let into the building stating they are both immunocompromised, so I understand where they are coming from. It doesn't hurt to call to let them know you'd like to stop in, next time I will wear a mask! Despite a lot of reviews about smell and uncleanliness (from circa over 5 years ago), I did not see or smell any such issue, and I am a bit of a clean freak in terms of smells associated with pets.

It causes her to appear like she has the mange, but she doesn't, it just the result of her food allergy. Well, this guy knew everything about the products sold at this store. He even suggested samples to make sure our dog would like the food before going all in and making an enormous purchase. Seriously, how many sales people would suggest samples, instead of trying to somewhat force you to purchase a $50 bag of dog food, that your pet might not even like? Sadly, we have purchased food at a rival chain, and it went to waste. So, we were glad he mentioned samples, along with various pet treats to work on her dull coat. Bottom line, he was concerned about the overall customer experience, and that's what we liked, and sets this store apart of other chains. By the way, his name was John.

Highly recommend for anyone wanting to try out some more natural products for their fur babies! Also, the staff were incredibly helpful and had great attitudes. They helped me find the right harness for my pup and even helped me size it to perfection!

When the female groomer finally came out and told me she didn't have time to schedule my dog. She told me to go to the front counter to get him scheduled. I got to the front counter to schedule my dog and pay for his bath only to be told that he couldn't do it and that I would have to find Sonya. I asked him if he could get her to come to the front. He refused and told me I would have to find her or I could just go online to schedule. I was standing in the store, why would I go online. On the way to bathe my dog I happened to find Sonya. She was very courteous and assisted me with scheduling my dog and she was very apologetic for the treatment I received. The others in the store need to learn what customer service is. We buy everything for our pets there. If I hadn't had contact with Sonya I would not ever return. I got tired of getting the run around and acting like I was a hindrance to their business.
