I love this store. I can always find what I want. They always have a good sale. Everybody there is always friendly and it's clean.

Meijer is my go to. I like their shopping isles which are rooming and can get around other shoppers. They have a good meat department that actually cuts their own meat. The store is always clean and anytime I needed help or finding something the employees have always been helpful plus I like their shop and scan app where you can scan your items while shopping and shows the prices and simply use the app to check out at the self check out where you just scan the bar code and transfers over to check out screen. One other you get points for shopping too and I usually use them for discount on their gas which is top tier gas. read more

Meijer changed their pharmacy app in September 2025 and it never works and their customer support is nonexistent. THEY SUCK!!

I ran across a few sales on athletic shoes and dumbbells and visited Meijer to take advantage of the discounts. I used to have a gym membership, but found that during quarantine many people had begun to create their own fitness rooms at home. Since I was late to the game, I found that dumbbells were always out-of-stock. I checked weekly at my local store and eventually was able to complete my collection. read more

im not tryna be an *ss, the manager acted like i was or a scammer. The 1st pic was of my 2nd fried chicken, totally bloody (not pink), i had 2 more making 4, every one had blood inside on the bone of the breast. I stopped buying those, today i got the rotisserie, lo and behold inside the drum on the bone was blood. Manager said "sorry i feel that way", tried to convince me it was 'dark meat', but ive had chicken for 30 years, it shouldnt be a dark red splotch, and why wasnt the rest of the dark drum meat same color, it was pink around the splotch. You cant have medium rare chicken! So to soften it, he got me a fresh rotisserie (pic 2-4), i shouldve known, it too was bloody on the drum bone. Again not trying to hate or scam, but i dont want to get sick; if u buy chicken from them, 100% of the time ur going to find blood on 10% of meat. I guess I have to put Meijer's in my grocery rotation. Although I hate it being so gigantic, I've found products there that are not in my other round of stores. Management needs to take notice, walk the floor and look down....the floors haven't been cleaned in months. Previous sticky spills in the grocery self check out side are still sticky and nasty brown. The produce area has leaves where no leaves should be. The cracker isle was just as dirty as the self check out. Don't even get me started in the bathrooms. Walked in and walked out. Who knows what the stock rooms look like if they can't keep the customer facing floors clean. read more

Meijer is my go to grocery store. I shop online ...produce is fresh good selection priced reasonable same for deli and all meat and seafood. Dairy has a great selection along with gourmet cheeses. They have all your over the counter pharmacy needs. The pharmacist are all helpful and knowledgeabl. Bakery Items are in a well organized display. The garden center has healthy plants huge selection. I have bought clothing there which are displayed neatly. I am a comparative price shopper..Meijers beats them all. It is a clean well organized store. read more

I expected a grocery store, but this is really a big department store that carries everything like a local Target. I would have preferred the former. As a food shop, it just wasn't the kind of healthy food I was looking for, with a huge freezer section and a "health food" section full of fried veggie chips and such but a fairly modest selection of fresh, whole food items. As a general store, I saw plenty of things to equip a home, and perhaps if I needed something I'd take a look, but I doubt I'd do clothes shopping here with so many more interesting niche options available locally and online. I had the BEST EXPERIENCE with the SWEETEST woman at Meijers. Her name is CONNIE, and she's worth going back to the store for literally everything I anticipate I'll ever need. She's got the most unique character and she made, what I thought was just a regular in-out shopping trip the best. I laughed so hard with Connie everyone thought we had known each other. I visited this Meijer location during a visit with my cousin in Lexington. We needed to pick up a few items, including some food stuff, face masks, and she needed a few cleaning supplies. This store was clean and fairly well organized. We were able to get in, find what we needed, and get out quickly. If you need groceries or household items, I think this Meijer location is a fine spot to check out. read more

It has reached a point that I try and see what it's like to get donuts from some of the chain grocery stores around Lexington. I decided that the first place I would try out would be Meijer. I was shocked to see that there was quite a selection of donuts to try, so I grabbed 4 different donuts to test out there. The first donut, which I don't include in my score, was the cinnamon crueler. It was ok. I'm not a fan of crullers, but it had been a while since I tried one, so I thought I would give it a shot. The second donut I tried was a strawberry cream filled long john. The donut was ok, but the cream wasn't very thick and was too light for my liking. The crumb donut was very heavy and the red velvet cake was probably the best of the bunch. Of all the general stores I have been to, these have the best variety of any place I have been to. I would suggest getting donuts here as opposed to other groceries, in my personal opinion. read more

I think their produce section is really good at meijer's. Also the deli counter is nice to buy sides and other items. I always enjoy shopping at this store but is a further grocery from my house. I am not sure if the prices are any better than any other grocery store but I think the store has a good layout. I can always find tens I am looking to purchase and the checkout seems efficient. The biggest issue I have with Meijer is that their items are not rotated properly when being restocked. Yogurt seems to be the worse with outdated items being pushed to the back with restocks or mixed around with restock. I have brought this to the attention to a manager (or so I was told that was his position) and it doesnt appear to have had any effect. I always have to go through several to find a good expiration date. Fruit is soso...Whole Foods has a better selection and their QC is on point. read more

This is not my usual Meijer. I usually go the the one in Hamburg--they have a better produce section. Everytime I end up at this meijer, I feel lost. I never know where anything is located. The interesting thing is this meijer store tends to have better clearance sales items. But it lacks in produce and meat selection. It's still just a grocery/home/sporting goods superstore. This store has really gone downhill in terms of meat and produce. In terms of meat, ground beef and chicken breasts have dates marked for that same day which is awful! No one wants to buy chicken or beef that has a best use by date of that day. It seems like they are cutting corners and getting meat that is almost past date to save money. If this is the case I will NEVER purchase my meat here again. I bought ground beef and the next day it was sour and that is unacceptable! I do not want to deep freeze all my meat. I'd like it to have a refrigerator shelf life of atleast 3 days. Meijers used to be great about meat and dates, but if they think customers won't mind they are sorely mistaken. This was a very bad business move! I always check dates and don't use my meat that same day. Now onto produce, a lot of the dates on these aren't very good either and their berries, lettuce, and onions look bad most the time. Their bananas are completely green and have hard stems in the middle because they aren't ripe. All in all, Meijers, do better before you lose a lot of business. I'm the first to review this place?!! It's been open for years! With a small USBank and many other convenient features, another huge perk is that it's very close to Fayette Mall... so after your shopping trip to the mall, you can stop by Meijer and tackle your grocery shopping. It is a one stop shop. They sell anything practically imaginable. My favorites are the deli, cheese, meat, and liquor selections. The weekly ads are a huge perk too. The prices on the sale items are usually so low that I stock up on several items every time that I go. It's not the store that most frequent but it is one of my favorite places to grocery shop. read more

This is the most infuriating grocery store I've ever been to. When shopping for specific items, I always check the website to make sure it's available in the store before I go to save a trip. Three times now I have gone to buy something that is marked "available and in stock" at this location and THREE TIMES they haven't had it in stock. Such a waste of time and money. read more

A good alternative to other big stores. You can always get in and out quick and good parking. The store is very neat and clean, and the produce section is always fresh with a good variety. There is a seperate Meijer liquor store here that has good prices and sales too. The only problem that i encounter regularly is that the prices advertised do not ring up correctly on the registers, so watch the prices carefully as you check out !! read more

I was disappointed enough after a visit to this store to write a 1-star review. However, I'm updating to 4-stars as there are simply too many products that I can get here (I'm looking at you, international aisle!) that I cannot get anywhere else in Lexington. At least not that I know of. So, I am going to accept some of the bad bits and at least acknowledge that this is the only place I can get some of my favorite foods. read more

Staff are always really friendly and willing to go out of there way to help you. The store is most of the time kept fairly clean. The bathroom was kinda gross the last time I used it but I'm sure they probably didn't know a grown man would do something extremely nasty.. But I like this one just as good as the hamburg location read more

I've shopped at this Meijer for years and have generally found the experiences to be good. However, since the virus, I have had to use their pick up service since I'm in high risk groups. Sooooo many mistakes were made by most shipt shoppers at this store over several orders and I found that they often did not have items listed online that I tried going to the store in Hamburg instead. It's a little farther from my home, but I thought maybe it'd be worth it. My experiences there have been a bit better, but sometimes the number of items not available in my order made the cost of 4.95 charge for service and the gas and time to go get it not worth it. Once the order is placed, I have no idea of what I am actually going to get until I get to the store - too late to cancel. The Shopper does text while shopping. This is during the time I'm driving to the store and should not be texting to reply. Sometimes I have gotten texts to say my order time is changed. The notice arrives very shortly before order time or even during order time, and sometimes I have already started on my way to the store. In addition to the pickup order charge, Meijer encourages you to tip your shopper, starting at $5. This means that between the pickup charge and tip, I am paying an additional $10 for my order. Also, coupons that I get in the mail cannot be applied to my order. The most I can save is either on specials or mperks if available, which is $5. Today my 8 am order was pushed back to 10am. Since I couldn't go then, I called customer care to cancel. Then a Shipt shopper texted me to say she was going to start my order. I told her I canceled, and she checked and said it still showed active. She had to call customer care to actually get it canceled. Meijer really doesn't have this process down. I never know what to expect. Kroger does not charge a fee, texts me while filling the order to let me know if items aren't available and offers substitutes in advance of my order time, has my order ready within 10-15 min of my arrival. It's unfortunate that Meijer's process is so unpredictable because I like their produce and they have some items I can't find elsewhere. But the frustrations have really caused me to avoid pick up at Meijers. read more
