The first time I came here it was for an emergency and they got me in right away, my dog had to go to a specialty vet hospital for surgery but they did a good job. I took another one of my dogs for nails and rabies. I definitely appreciated the doctor talked to me and realized I wasn't a novice pet owner. They also take care of cats for the local animal shelter.

She told my wife that they would need to cut out the knots in her fur, she asked if that was an additional cost she was told that it was $40 but was included in the basic price of $52. They also said that Tuesday was Senior Citizen Day (10% discount). Later they called and said that Sophie was ready, my wife called back and they told her the cost would be $92 (WHAT!!). She spoke with the manager of the department and explained the situation, she said that nothing could be done and that was the cost. My wife then asked to speak with the store manager, she explained the situation and after going back and forth for quite some time the manager said that they would only charge $52 but that we could not bring Sophie back to Pet Smart in Houma. That should be the end of the story but no... My daughter picked up Sophie and was shocked when she saw her, her cut was patchy, she had blood spots on her skin, her tail was bald and the usual ribbon was not in her hair. Considering that they had spoken with my wife after they were finished I hope that they were not charging $92 for the messed up cut they gave Sophie but I also hope that they didn't decide to gouge her up after she complained about the amount they charged. Either way, we will NEVER bring her back to this butcher shop and strongly suggest that no one else bring their fur baby there. You have been warned.
