I found the staff to be very helpful and eager to provide excellent customer service. The store is packed with merchandise, and everything is close together in a small organized space. A person doesn't have to walk up and down endless aisles or across an extremely large warehouse for materials. You can easily find everything you're looking for in short order. I found the prices to be pretty competitive; shelves had tools and merchandise of excellent quality. If you have a project I recommend this store before going to a "Big Box" outfit. You will be in and out much quicker and get better service that comes with a local small business ambiance. Another nice benefit of shopping here is Ace Hardware offers free popcorn for customers. The popcorn is delicious and of "movie quality."

Today, I visited the store to return two unopened items I had received as a housewarming gift. As I…read moreapproached the checkout line, the cashier--an assistant manager (older woman, name unknown)--was immediately dismissive, saying only "Come on" instead of greeting me politely. I explained that the items were purchased online for in-store pickup, and I had both the order number and the emailed receipt from my friend. She stated that online purchases could not be returned in-store, which is incorrect. According to Ace Hardware's own return policy: "We recommend that you make returns of online purchases to an Ace retail store near you that can issue you a refund (less applicable shipping, handling, and other charges)." Her tone and demeanor were unprofessional and gave the impression that she did not want to assist customers. I later returned to the store and spoke with Jesse, who was polite, knowledgeable, and promptly processed the return without issue. The assistant manager should be familiar with the company's return policy and provide courteous service to customers.
