It's a mixed bag here. I needed help and found Raymond first who passed me off to Tim for some reason. Tim was great and helped me with several projects. Then I needed help again and Raymond who was just socializing asked Tim to help me again. It's like Raymond could not be bothered. But I was grateful for Tims help. He's a good guy and figured out everything I needed. Then I was dismayed to see it was only self checkout which I do not like. I do not appreciate self checkout. I came to shop. Not work for Lowe's. David at the self checkout area was very kind and helped me checkout. David innerstood my concerns and helped me check out. Tim and David both deserve kudos for their cheerful assistance. Nearly $3,000 in Cabinets and Months of Frustration I purchased nearly $3,000 worth of standard, non-custom cabinets from Lowe's for a coffee bar. Unfortunately, the experience was filled with incorrectly manufactured products, delays, poor communication, and countless hours trying to get the issues resolved. The problems included: * The soft-close trash cabinet never worked properly. * The bottom drawer of the three-drawer cabinet was manufactured incorrectly and was missing the interior guide rails that were part of the design. * Missing face plate for the front of toe drawer. * The top drawer front was damaged during installation. Lowe's told me replacing it would not be a problem would order a replacement at no cost. What arrived were 2 different face panels with no practical way to install it without damaging the existing drawer. Instead of replacing the defective cabinets, Lowe's repeatedly sent replacement parts that never corrected the problems. Over the course of this project, I made no less than 15 trips to the store, exchanged numerous emails, and repeatedly followed up for updates. On multiple occasions, I was told by the store that I would receive a full refund and on the last store visit told they were just waiting on the manager to approve it. Based on those assurances, I continued working through their process while the issue dragged on and another month of finance payments come due. At least three of my follow-up requests went unanswered. When a resolution was finally offered, I was told my options were to either accept a $250 credit or uninstall and return all of the cabinets. After months of delays, defective products, installation costs, and countless hours invested, I found the $250 offer insulting. It did not come close to reflecting the time, inconvenience, and expense this situation caused. To receive a refund, I had to have all the cabinets removed so Lowe's could have someone pick them up. The pickup company provided only a few minutes' notice before arriving, adding yet another unnecessary inconvenience to an already frustrating experience. I understand that mistakes happen. What defines a company is how it resolves those mistakes. Unfortunately, my experience has been one of repeated delays, incomplete fixes, and a resolution that falls far short of what I believe is reasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Lowe's. read more

On May 5, 2026, I visited the Lowe's in Gibsonton, Florida to purchase plants and topsoil for my yard. When I walked over to put a few bags of soil in my cart, I noticed a lady was already there putting soil in her cart. As the two of us were loading bags into our carts, I noticed a Lowe's employee (Thomas)was standing right beside us. He did not offer to help us, he just watched. This is the customer service I received from my local Lowe's. What a horrible experience, clearly this employee needs to be trained to do his job properly. He should be helping people. Made a big purchase and the product was defective. Showed videos and pictures. After an associate said it qualified for a return, a Lowe's assistant manager refused to return or exchange the product citing a 24 hour return window. Poor communication from the manufacturer Kandi (they are even worse, don't buy their products). Lowes failed to resolve the issue. The manufacturer is requesting that I pay a portion of getting the product fixed. Don't buy golf carts from Lowe's or any other service that requires contractors. They blame each other and do not solve anything. read more

I do not write reviews but I felt this one is necessary as a dog person and as a mother. I have a serious complaint about the nonchalant attitude of the service people at Lowe's. Looking for something hearty and able to withstand this hot Florida climate, I purchased Lantana and Buttercup plants for my yard. Thankfully, I took the initiative to research the plants and how to best care for them and to my surprise, found that they are EXTREMELY TOXIC and DANGEROUS for pets and humans, particularly CHILDREN! I called the customer service departments of more than one Lowe's to inform them of what I had read and to ask why these plants do not come with warning advisories and was met with indifference and was brushed off. I promptly returned my plants but wanted to warn others about the dangers of them. read more

I've had a Lowe's account for 30 years. I've maintained it because of their veteran's discount. Recently Lowe's measured my floors in preparation for replacing them. We picked out something we liked. Several days latter they informed us that the product was no longer available, and that nothing in that price range was any longer available (even though the products were displayed and samples were available). They might be able to give us a slight discount on a more expensive panel, but of course my veteran's discount would not apply. This seems to me to be a bait and switch tactic I would have expected from a firm operating out of the back of a semi-truck. We are now at Home Depot. read more

Lowe's sends criminals to your home! I ordered a dishwasher from Lowe's, and the installer broke into my home through the back door. He damaged private property, threatened my wife, and refused to leave when she asked him to. He only left when we threatened to call the police. We called Lowe's three times afterward and did not receive a single apology. Instead, they tried to shift the blame onto us. Unbelievable! An incredibly unfriendly company that sends criminals to your home! We are already in contact with our lawyer to take action against Lowe's. I like going to Lowes because the staff is helpful and friendly. They also are able to make recommendations on products and the right accessories for projects. I go there for everything from air filters to plumbing couplings, plant food and light bulbs, lots of light bulbs. I bought a water heater from them and did not end up needing the unit and the return was seamless. You are also able to bring your dog, leashed of course, while you shop. Having been a longtime Lowe's customer this experience was absolutely unacceptable. 1st, we needed assistance in getting an item from the overflow shelf. No issue with having the item in overflow and not the shelf, except 1) there were no employees to be found to assist, 2) after going to customer service to ask for assistance, they never called anyone, 3) after asking a second employee working at self checkout, she immediately called for assistance (thankfully), however the woman showed up and acted as if we were disrupting her break, mumbling and seeming as though we were in the wrong for needing assistance. She then proceeded to tell the coworker helping her about every health ailment she was experiencing and why she couldn't climb the ladder to assist (TMI). Finally at checkout, things really took a turn...there was 1 register open and 4 self checkouts. We proceed to self checkout as they were all vacant. Having been a long time customer of Lowe's I know they claim to value their veterans...word to the veterans and dependents...they do NOT value you if you use the self checkout. Having recently shopped at the Lowe's in Bradenton (excellent location btw), I know that military discounts are given at self checkout. The transaction is suspended at POS and the employee checks you out at their register with the discount applied. They ask for your phone number and validate your information, as Lowe's requires you to register with them to receive the discount. NOT at this location. After finishing scanning my items, I inquire about my discount, to which I'm told they do not give military discounts. He then corrected and said at self checkout you are not entitled to the discount. He proceeds to point to a tiny handwritten piece of paper taped to the register that says no military discount at self checkout in chicken scratch. I hope that someone from Lowe's reads this and can advise why they only value veterans and dependents if they checkout through a specific register? And why not all of their locations handle this process the same? Why are we required to register with you if your locations change the policy with hand written notes? I will not be back to this location. I know Home Depot does not put their customers through this. Complete and utter disappointment and failure! read more

I came in with my child ak, 12 years old when I was at the paint section with him, I told him to go to the cashier or anyone that works there and wanted him to ask them where the AC filter was so he did ask someone named Tristan and she was absolutely mean to my child. He asked her where the AC filter was she was nice at that time ask told him she knew where it was Which was in row 35 he asked her to take him there cause he didn't know where row 35 was She said "no I can't. I need to stay near this place" then she said one second, and started talking to her friend about how a 12 year old was without his parents at a cashier asking for a AC filter, so he was the bigger one and left the place she was pissed that he left and started saying that he was disrespectful, I told her to stop treating him like a child and she screamed, saying he's a child.and she screamed, saying he's a child! I usually come here for plants but today I came for a piece of lumber. The tag stated 12 dollars. We took it to get cut down. The guy cutting the wood was very helpful and nice. The reason for the two stars is how difficult the lady at the register was. The board was clearly not a 2x4 and it kept ringing up as 26. She was like well that's what's ringing up. But if you knew anything you know what a 2x4 looks like a board cut to 16 x 32 1/2 could not possibly be that. She made what should have been easy difficult. Though we told her it was the last one she still made us look for the board and when we got back she had left her station leaving a line behind. She then said there was nothing she could do which is just completely incompetent. She then makes us leave the line holding up the line to go take a picture of a tag. Honestly she just made things difficult. If it wasn't for the plants I would likely not come back here. I know I won't come back for the store if that's how all the people at the register are. Just very difficult situation more than 30minutes to ring something up Home Depot would never. read more

This particular location is disorganized, & unfortunately, has a couple lazy employees. Chris & Maria in the flooring department told me the flooring I wanted was listed in their system as at the store, but not really there. So confusing. These two were more worried about sitting at their desks and flirting, than helping me. I went & found an associate, by the name of Brenner, who went above the call of duty to check on the flooring that was showing in stock in their system, but wasn't able to find it, because Chris & Maria, stopped him. This store needs to have daily meetings to keep the employees all on the same page. We ended up ordering online from Lowe's without any issues. I wouldn't visit this location, in the future. Pat was extremely unprofessional while processing returns. I had been waiting the longest and she refused to process my return because the line was formed the wrong way (even though there's no line descriptors). I told her I had been waiting and she told me to keep waiting and helped another customer - who told her he was fine with me going first. She refused and began working his complicated return, when I had a very easy, seemingly quick return request. When I finally was helped by another employee, my return took seconds, while she was still working on her customer, like 15 mins later lol. It just seemed very unnecessary and unprofessional. The delivery of appliances was a complete $h!t show. The coordination between Lowes & XPO delivery was horrible. They never gave delivery co phone number & after 3 days of no delivery and hours on the phone on hold each day, the manager Harley Cooke was a complete rude incompetent piece of work. He spoke over me and refused to hear my issues. After speaking to MJ at corporate... we were told delivery would be 2 days later from 8am-noon. Its 1:50 2 days later & still no delivery. This has been the worst situation & display of a poorly run Lowes! Management was horrible. Jim in appliances was THE ONLY HELP!!! I am a retired person with very good credit. I moved to Riverview from out of state in May. Around the end of June, I applied for a Lowe's advantage card. On July 2, I purchased goods of $147.41, including $132.60 decorative wood strips for the door frame. Due to various reasons, we canceled the idea of decorating the door frame and returned the wood strips to Lowe's return department around middle July. So far I have not received my refund. Details are as follows: 7/2: I bought decorative wood strips, the total cost was $132.60 (see invoice) 7/8 to 7/22 : (can't remember the exact time), I returned it to Lowe's return department. At that time, a woman of 50s to 60s handled the returning procedures and told me that the money would be refunded to my card. I have not received any receipt. 8/25 to 8/30: (can't remember the exact time), I went to Lowe's return department to inquire about my return. A young man received me and checked the entire July month return list for me. There was no record of my return. He said that the computer records were incomplete and that needed to check with the bank. Then He gave me a phone number: 800-445-6937, let me call customer care Bank statement on return. 9/7 to 9/10: (can't remember the exact time), my daughter called the customer care bank, told us that it would take 60 days to get the refund. 9/25: I received an email from SYNCHRONY BANK, It will take them one to two billing cycling to respond to me. on same day, I responded this email with my an invoice on July 2 and a description of the return 11/3: I received an email telling me that I have $39.51 due on Nov 8. I replied to the email on the same day, and told them that I have a $132.60 refund and I can't pay this money. 11/16: I received an email, which told me that the new statement increased to $71.51. I paid $71.51 on the same day. Conclusion: 1. We have loved Lowe's and have been shopping here for more than 30years. This is my first worst experience I have ever had. My husband repeatedly advised me not to harm myself for such a small amount of money. but when I think about it, I feel very uncomfortable and unbalanced with blood pressure immediately rises. because it is too unreasonable and unfair for me. 2. Went in to get a hot knife kit, but couldn't find it in the aisle the online store said it was in (71) The one star rating is for the rude employee that was clocking in/out for lunch it seems (they were at the computer by the power tools) Rolled his eyes at me when I said that there was a customer walking around without a mask. He gave me an attitude and said "what do you want me to do about it?" Maybe enforce the local laws right now, maybe don't talk to a customer like they're bothering you AT YOUR JOB. The least they could have done was call a manager,but that was even too much of an effort for this disgruntled employee. No wonder there is a "now hiring" sign outside, it seems like a miserable place to work from what I got from this employee. Amazon has my business now, I don't need an attitude from an employee that obviously is unhappy to work there and is bothered by customers...ya know the people that keep the store open. Purchased a new toilet with installation. apparently resealing the base is optional. Plumber said he was out here to install a toilet and that was T part of it. He also says he didn't have the tools. Toilet didn't work after 1st flush and his vice grip was left squeezing the water valve. I worked at Lowe's for 8 yrs as a kitchen specialist and I've never been more upset with them. Avoid their plumbing installers. They contracted with someone out of the area to install my toilet. The scheduler seemed really pissed off and the installer seemed pissed of and had bad body odor (at 9 in the morning). My $400 toilet needs repairs and caused me a $540 water bill. Very unorganized, very unprofessional, and understaffed. The reason I gave it to Starr instead of a one is because it's the closest home improvement store to my house. I waited for at least 25 minutes to get a 2 x 4 sold in half. After trying for different registers I finally found a lane that actually worked and didn't have computer problems. I was trying to buy a high-end cordless drill but every time I picked one out there would be nothing in the bin or the wrong model wrong brand etc. Very disorganized. My wife and I frequent Lowes more than ever now that we have a house and got out of the small townhouse we used to be in. So, with a larger home with a front/back yard...this means more projects. So, let's get this outta the way; I am from a Jewish family and we have never been the most 'handy' people...unless you need carpentry..think about that for a sec. So, last night I needed to replace a sprinkler head, something I have NEVER done in my life. So, I took the broken one to Lowe's and the guy who tried to help me, though he found me exactly what I needed, treated me like an idiot. I didn't realize there were 2 parts to it...the head and the extender at the bottom. When he pointed that out, I finally realized that the extender was broken off inside of the bottom of the sprinkler head. He looked at me like I was 'mentally challenged', let out a sigh, and then found me what I needed. I thanked him and he just grunted and walked away. Ya know...this guy reminds me of the employees they used to have at Comp USA. Snarky, "I know more than you", and bottom line rude. Outside of the difference between computers and hardware, both of these types of employees are the same. I don't need to be treated like I'm stupid, even after I tell someone that I had never done this project before....I just need help with a smile...that's all. I did fix the sprinkler with the new head...after ruining my shirt and shorts, but it was worth it and now...I know how to do it. I won't need "Snarkles" over a Lowe's for help next time. read more

I ordered a fan from Lowe's.com to pick up the same day. I received the confirmation that my order was ready and went to go pick it up. The clerk wanted me to wait in the return line to pick up my order. The return line - really? The same line that wraps out the door. I refuse to be treated this way. I left Lowe's and ordered the same fan on Amazon for 20 bucks less and it will be delivered tomorrow. Come on Lowe's - shoddy service is unacceptable. Don't like this location. We were looking for the ring doorbell, the location closer to us didn't have any left so I called this location to make sure they did and to ask them to put it on hold. She said she had plenty and will put one behind the customer service cash register for us. We drove 25 minutes out, get there and the girl I spoke to says she ran out!!
