Had support call me cause the prices in app didn't match what I had online. They are doing prices based on the fact that they think I'm rich based on my address. Couldn't be farther from the truth, but does walmart have a heart, or care? No they don't. They value money. Nothing else. They do not value their consumer. I tried to explain over and over again that not everyone is this area is a millionaire, or even makes six figures. They didn't care. They've given the support people zero power to help. For an hour they just kept repeating "This action cannot be taken." "No further action can be taken." What a waist of money to pay people to sit there and talk like robots (it was a real person though) instead of just givng me the fair price. They are going to have to take tons of calls like this, and they'll end up losing so money even with the price gauging they're doing. And if walmart is going to start charging me Harmons prices cause they think I'm "rich", then I'll just go to Smiths or Harmons or even Hmart because the quality is infinitely better. No reason to continue paying for terrible qualtiy produce, when I can get great produce for the same price at Harmons. You lost one today walmart. Nice one! read more

This Walmart is nice in how big and usually organized it is (which can be surprising for some Walmarts). It was clean, well-stocked and I was pleasantly surprised with the whole spices they had in stock. You can checkout with people or do self-checkout and it's easy to find a store associate if you need help. Be aware that this location can be pretty popular so it can get crowded. I also like how there's plenty of parking and it's in a plaza with plenty of restaurants and other stores (i.e. Petsmart, Panda Express, Kohl's). read more

Chronic ineptitude - Over the last few years I've experienced several cases in which associates at the customer service counter at the the American Fork store not only didn't know what they were doing, they outright lied to cover it up. This is the type of people that the manager there hires, places behind the counter without adequate training, and then supports when they botch up. So the greater problem at that store is the manager herself. It's mind-boggling the scope of this that I've seen. There's really no words. I was given a very poor example of customer service recently by "Annabelle", who went unhinged and had a fit when I respectfully disagreed with her over something stupid she said. Having switched almost entirely to "self checkout" you can now expect extremely long wait times to check out. On Saturday this is expecaly the case but long lines winding down the main shopping aisle are present nearly every day of the week. I had hoped that this problem directly caused by the self checkouts would dissipate as people got used to thenew technology. The exact opposite has occurred. There is not a better day/time to shop at this location. These were installed as part of recent "remodelled" that makes finding non-food items more difficult. I think they were trying to make their front end resemble a local competitor?? They are finally re-adding an outdoor plant section. Either way, until they fix the checkout issue it is not worth visiting this location. As they purposely make the Pharmacy more visible I have put this there as well. The Pharmacy would get 2 stars as they are not the best but I have never had high expectations of them in any location. read more

I will say that this Walmart is one of the lowest ones on my list! Next to the Orem one near UVU. It seems to be dirty a lot of the time. Also the employees are ALWAYS in the family bathrooms. Like 98% of the time I need to go in with my kid to change the bum, an employee is in there and they take forever! Yes I know there's a changing table in the women's bathroom. But I like a little privacy when I'm changing my kid. But there's just no care. The employees don't make an effort when you smile at them. They are rude, the floors are dirty and I've just never really had a positive experience. I try to avoid this one if I can! read more

While Wal Mart isn't my favorite place to shop, I can't fault this one too much. I went in last night for some very specific items and I was able to locate each of them without any problem. The store wasn't too crowded, which made the trip even more pleasant. One of my biggest gripes with Wal Mart (any location) is the over abundance of displays in every space possible. It makes for an overwhelming shopping experience, especially during peak shopping time. This location was no exception-there were displays of additional stuff between aisles, on ends of aisles and in the middle of walking spaces. I understand that they are trying to maximize space and put out as much inventory as possible, but it's just....a lot. I used the self checkout when I was ready to go. I do like the ease of self checkout and that there is an associate available if there are any issues. I didn't notice a "security" person checking receipts at the door. I can't say how happy I was about that. Not that I'm trying to steal anything, but I find it terribly annoying that they trust us to check ourselves out, but then want to clog the exit checking receipts. There was some kind of electronic system, like a hyped up sensor, that we had to walk through before leaving. That, along with the cameras EVERYWHERE, seems like it should suffice to deter shoplifters. read more

I am not usually a Walmart shopper, but this is probably one of the best ones I've been to. Associates are a little spread out, but every one I asked was able to accurately assist me. Customer service/returns line was a little long the second time I came, but I found some decent, general home stuff I did not want to splurge on (cutting boards, bathroom rugs, kitchen towels, painters tape, etc.) They surprisingly did not have plumbers' tape, so I just popped into Home Depot next door. I am beyond happy that they sell cold Sapporos! And for a decent price, too! read more

Horrid experience - least helpful associate. Milk leak everywhere. Then after completing the extensive check out process for a large cart of groceries the associate cancels my ticket by mistake. No sorry no nothing, I had to insist they ring up or I would be late to pick up my child - didn't want to help, claimed there was no one else to help even though it way 6:30 am - the least busy time of day. Tried calling the manager no one picking up the phones there. Good reminder why I don't shop there regularly. read more

This place is definitely a SuperCenter. A friend of mine worked here when this location first opened, and he said the employees were told this was the largest Wal-Mart west of the Mississippi at the time it was built. I don't doubt it. This place is huge! You could almost get lost in here, were it not for the traditional well-organized layout. As with virtually every other Wal-Mart, this place seems to suffer the same traditional pitfall of having too few staff members. If you know where your items are located, this is no big deal. If you need something out of a locked cabinet, it may take you a while to find someone who can open it up for you. (The last time this happened to me, I actually used my cell phone and called the store *from inside the store* and asked the manager to send an associate to assist me. This got very quick results.) On the plus side, this location has expanded their self-checkout area. This is a godsend when you're in a hurry and just need to get out the door with your small collection of items. And if you're buying in bulk but still don't want to chat up a cashier, they even have a few self-checkout aisles complete with the conveyor belt and the whole nine yards. Introverts will think they have died and gone to heaven! Overall, this is one of the better SuperCenters I visit regularly. read more

I have been using the online app to schedule curbside pick ups for the last few months. With three young kids, this free service is a game changer for me. Shopping used to be stressful but now someone loads my groceries into my trunk while the kids fight in the backseat instead of in the cart. Thank you Walmart for saving my sanity. read more

They took out all but 4 registers and made them all self check outs. Today their card reader at the self check out wasn't working and I had to call for assistance. They were very inconvenienced by me, because they wanted to stand and talk to their friends. They also double charged me for something and when I brought it up before paying, they just looked at each other and said they didn't see my total before. Didn't offer to go through and read what they had on my transaction. Read the receipt and immediately went to customer service for a refund. She was also playing on her phone and didn't really care. I also had to ask for a receipt for my refund. Ridiculous and I won't be shopping here anymore. read more

This is walmart, keep that in mind. If you compare it to other walmarts it is above average. Their produce selection is small. I'd like to see more fresh herbs for cooking. I picked up a 2tb wifi storage hub on clearance for 40 bucks, shucked and reformatted the HD out of it. It's my new media drive on my PC. There are always vagrants with signs asking for money near this walmart. I guess it makes me a jerk, but I'd rather not have to deal with that every time I go shopping. read more

Beware of Mario, a paranoid accusatory security employee who just can't understand you don't tell a customer to leave without reason. Mario never wanted to show me his work badge so he can beleive I wouldn't know I am writing about him as the most ignorant employee who jumped to conclusions as soon as he saw I came into Wal-mart alone. Mario accused me of stealing, ignorant of the fact I had been helped at the Electronics moments before and needs to learn the lesson to know what was going on before he does something stupid, such as get in my face only for coming back inside with a receipt. Secondly I wasn't alone. He targeted me because he thought I was by myself. Mario seriously needs to learn the reality of actual suspicious behavior and when he is making a fool of himself before he starts yelling at because so what that he saw you take a receipt and to Mario that receipt doesn't mean it is yours. Unreasonable. He even admitted to me that he was always creepily looking at me when I was outside the store and I was talking and hugging my boyfriend! Mario is a creeping excuse of an employee and super disrespectful in the first place. Me and the hubby seem to go here on the regular, mostly at odd hours to avoid the chaos and crazy people, but also in hopes to get things after the shelves have been stocked... Well that's how it feel. However i feel like the same several items that i go for seem to never be available and it's frustrating when i see stocking happening nightly. Necessary "go to" place for grocery and household essentials. Aisles typically in some sort of disarray while workers stand by chatting with each other. Watching two gals now who've been engaged in conversation for over 15 minutes only moving from one area to another to continue their conversation. Good thing I don't need assistance. Check out clerk was unengaged, seemed bothered that we were buying items, did not acknowledge us or ask if we'd found everything we came in to purchase. Very disappointed Walmart! read more

My review is for the photo center. Most of the time when I type the photo center in it pops up separate from the actual super center but this one did not. So I'm giving my review 2 stars because I think this Walmart is fine, it's just the photo center I have a problem with (I would give them 1 star). The two employees at the photo center refused to give me my print. They said it was a copyright issue even though I showed them my purchase from Etsy, verifying that I had bought it and had the right to print it. After explaining it to them a free more times they just kept saying it was a copyright issue and my Etsy confirmation wasn't enough proof that I was allowed to print it. I know it's just a picture, but I was frustrated because I had to wait to have it be printed and I had my baby with me. I would have saved myself time and gone somewhere else had I known those employees were going to do that. read more

This Walmart has the worst inventory control of any one I've ever been to. It is always out of the things I need. It has been that way for years. It's the closest one to where I live so I always go back - reluctantly. Also, I went to the optical center to have new nose pads put on my glasses. After I got home, I noticed what I thought were big scratches on one lens next to the nose pad. I later realized that it was super glue - rather than using the screw to attach the nose pad they used super glue!! Did they drop the screw and improvised or what...? I am really disappointed in how this store treated my wife today. My wife had left her phone in the car and needed to run out to get it to unlock her credit card to pay for her items, she left the items on the register to quickly return and was stopped by a Walmart security with a horrible attitude, cursing at her and telling her that she needed to show her f***ing receipt. She got flustered and said that she left her items at the check out and she will be back to pay once she gets her phone. She was then approached by a supervisor who was just as rude and accused her for stealing and would call the cops on her. This caused everyone around to look and embarrassed my wife. After the harassment and giving my wife a chance to get her phone, she paid for everything, but no one apologized for the behavior that they showed. This store appears to have little care for who they hire and it shows to their customers. We will try to stay away from this store as much as possible. Until they get rid of the bullies. read more

Pharmacy! I don't usually do the Walmart pharmacy since there are so many other options around and myfamily rarely needs prescriptions. But in a month my husband got shingles and my daughter needed a Rx for her tonsils. I did the Walmart pharmacy for convenience and both times they were unable to fill the prescriptions due to not having enough in stock. WHAT???? I love the low prices, the price matching program you don't have to work for, organic and local options (Winco, their competitor, doesn't have those), and they respond well to controversies. I'm happy with a lot of their clothes, and they often have some things no one else has. I dislike their bathrooms which they rarely attend to and are a complete mess (the in-stall baby holder is smart, but can you put in a few changing table liners?). I also have had some bad experiences with some of their dairy products--some of them just weren't refrigerated properly. Most Walmarts are the same from what I've seen. They are so nice to little kids, but I wish their grocery lines weren't such a pain. I often find myself turning over their more questionable magazine pictures while trying to pry their toys in the checkout line out of my child's hand. Don't do this Walmart. read more
