I'm writing this review to bring serious attention to an ongoing issue at both the Bridgeland and Tomball Tractor Supply Co. locations regarding the use of the pet wash station. Every time we've made the effort to drive out -- often 30 minutes each way -- with our baby and our dog, we've been met with repeated refusals from employees to use the pet wash. The excuses vary each time: "It's under maintenance," "We're about to close," "Someone else is using it," or vague reasons that feel more like avoidance than valid operational concerns. On several occasions, we weren't even allowed to check the pet wash ourselves to verify the claims. It's extremely frustrating and frankly feels like the staff simply doesn't want to deal with customers using that service. As loyal customers who have chosen TSC for both pet supplies and convenience, it's incredibly disappointing to receive this kind of treatment -- not once, but multiple times, across different locations. The lack of accountability and consistency in customer service is unacceptable. I hope this review brings this issue to the attention of store management and the corporate team. The pet wash is one of the advertised features that brings people into your stores -- please ensure your employees are trained to either provide the service as promised or communicate honestly and respectfully with your customers. read more

Bought $300 worth of bird seed to find it's loaded with bug's, called and complained but got no place to resolve the issue. Had worms and flying insects in our garage crawling out of bags two days after opening them. There isn't a zero rating this is below the not good rating. Tractor Supply has lost touch with their customers. Typical overly corporate decisions from on-high has slowly destroyed their customer service, product selection and value. They have a decent selection of hardware, more like a Walmart. Might as well go to Lowe's or Walmart. For animal feed, pet supplies, lawn and garden they fail miserably. If you want a kayak from a feed store, go to Tractor Supply... but avoid if you prefer friendly, knowledgeable staff. Definitely avoid if you want healthy Springtime chicks. read more

Why wasn't I helped when I was standing in line. No I wasn't addressed until I was walking to self checkout near the door. I must be stealing right. What a wonderful change in the norm. You spend all your time at Home Depot's, Walmarts, Petco, and other store; where customer service is (for lack of better terms) nonexistent. Now let's talk Tractor Supply Company location in Tomball. The very first thing, when you walk in the door, is being greeted like it's a Buc-ees. It doesn't stop there. Experience a store where the employees actually know where and what stuff is. Simply amazing. But the best part about this store is that it is the best customer service experience I have had in a very long time. From Sarah at the front register, who was the most pleasant person I have dealt with, to Scott (the manager) that help with an error and took great care of us, to Jessie, who went the extra mile to locate what they thought was not in stock. If this place has the stuff you're looking for, I would suggest to not even consider going anywhere else. Even if it saves you money, the quality of customer service is well worth forgoing that little bit of savings to support a customer service oriented business. I went to Tomball Tractor Supply today instead of the Katy location. Katy was sold out of cracked corn. I arrived and when I walked in, I instantly knew I liked this location better. The lay out is a little different and it makes it easier to find what you need. The employees are more friendly and helpful. I looked for the cracked corn but, someone came in and bought the whole pallet while I was driving there. A sweet lady said they were getting more tomorrow. So I guess I will be here again tomorrow. I placed a curbside order for Magnolia store, which I picked up same day. Then I get an email 3 days later from the Tomball store saying a duplicate of my Magnolia store was picked up also in Tomball store. Which I didn't. Then the very next day I get another email saying the Tomball store delivered the duplicate order to my house, but they didn't. I called and the guy answered the phone checked and there was no delivery to my house. His attitude towards me was poor, he was actually annoyed at me! " I don't see that delivery, I don't see it at all!" It's very annoying this store is so disorganized. I think the store should have canceled the duplicate order but instead said it was picked up and then delivered. I don't think that the customer should be annoyed by bad inventory management and/or bad training. The poor administration at the Tomball store is why I only shop at Magnolia store. My last trip in an elderly woman passed me heading to the car with large feed bags as I was about to go help her and young man (employee) stopped what he was doing to attend her needs. Came to the Tomball store to look at lawnmowers and pick up some dog food. I got the dog food but the only lawnmower available that I wanted was the display. The young lady behind the cash register immediately helped me. She called for help to bring the display down, checked me out and even had someone push it out to my truck and help me load it. Tractor supply itself, as a chain store, is amazing. There are so many things that I prefer to get there rather than go to target or Walmart or Lowe's or even a different feed store. We buy all our dog food there, their store brand, our chicken crumbles and goat feed too. If you have any dogs obsessed with tennis balls- buy them here. They are six dollars at target for three here they are less than a dollar each. The leashes and collars are great quality and really well priced. Their seasonal flowerpots are gorgeous and well priced. This location takes tractor supply to another level. Everyone there is so helpful. My husband will send me in for some random little hinge, finding or vaccine of some sort and I just tell them exactly what he told me and they walk me to exactly where it is. They don't say "it's on aisle number five" they actually walk you to the item and make sure it's where it supposed to be. returns are super easy and their customer service is just awesome!! read more

I needed to buy an Ohio Steele 50" Lawn Sweeper and the website last night said they had it in stock but no mention of the quantity. Today I called just to make sure and a really helpful young lady named Kim answered the phone and said she would look it up and she did and found there to be only one left. She checked and verified that it indeed was in stock and left my name and SKU# for the cashier when I came through. I came in the store 15-20 minutes later and went to cashier and Kim did exactly as she said she would! I paid and picked it up at the side gate. I work in Tomball and only get 30min lunch. I made an online order from this specific location because they had almost everything that I needed in stock. I called the store personally after I made my order to ask if they knew around what time the order would be ready for pick up because my fiancé had errands to run and he wanted to accomplish all his tasks at once; at that particular moment, they were unsure. When the order was ready for pick up, they sent me an email and a text, as they are supposed to, but they also called me personally to let me know that the order was ready for pick up! This greatly helped us planning for the day as we have a lot to accomplish this weekend. What awesome customer service! We shop there for all our "mini" farm needs. They consistently have good prices and we like the selection. The staff is very helpful but overworked. They are being pulled in 5 different directions from customers needing assistance. They handle it well and seem to get everyone taken care of. I was looking for a composter and the young lady told me it was on sale and they could order it and give me a call when it came in. I stopped by for a completely unrelated item and left with several bags of Blue Buffalo dog treats and dog toothpaste! Their prices on pet-related supplies and food are considerably cheaper than any of the 'big box' pet stores. For example, $6.99 per bag of Blue Wilderness Salmon treats versus $9.99 and up elsewhere. Plus, the Sentry Fiproguard Plus flea medication is just as effective as Frontline Plus at a considerably lower price as well. Will stop here often for goodies for my furbabies. read more

The people at this tractor supply went above and beyond to help me with my strange issue with my car battery. I needed a new battery terminal clamp, and I had searched several automotive stores first and none of them had a different size, then I went to the tractor supply on a whim. They didn't have a different size either, but they ended up having me come around to the back of the store and they pulled out some tools and fixed my battery wires for me so the clamp would work! They didn't have to do that at all, and it was only a $5 part, but they were so incredibly helpful. James is the one who helped me in the beginning, and he had to leave, but had Justin work on my battery for me, and they were both amazing! I can't believe that anyone would be willing to help like that. I'm trying to let everyone know how amazing this place is, thanks you so much to these 2 guys for what they did! :) read more

i would LOVE to give you more stars. This is a fantastic place to get anything from live chickens to enough cat food for my cats to literally swim in it in the bathtub. I love places like this and sometimes come to just see what's new, look at the tractors or he go karts or whatever else happens to be outside. I feel like most of the people in tom ball come here at least once a year for various reasons. The reason I don't give you more stars is because you don't have people to fill up propane except on Saturdays and it's usually just the one person that can do it, so if they are on break or in the middle of something else then I have to wait forever. That would be great if I was waiting inside the air conditioned store, but I can't take a bottle of propane inside, and I don't want to leave the propane bottle outside, because a few times I have tried that then there has been confusion as to whose bottle that is. I would just walk around and you could call me when you are done, but that's not the way it works, because no one wants to lift those heavy propane bottles around. I give you 3 stars because you usually have some of the cheaper propane prices in the area, but knowing I can only get that done one day a week for sure is hard. read more
