I wish I could give Hollywood feed 10 stars!!!! I rescue dogs and my 10th dog. No one could find the owner and I ended up rescuing him and taking him home. Chloe at Hollywood feed went so above and beyond for my new furbaby. When I rescued Frankie, he was on the streets of Houston and he was teaming with fleas. He had not eaten in days and he had never been loved. In fact, he did not know what a treat was. The vet gave him all kinds of shots and made sure that he wasn't gonna give anybody rabies but he still needed things to make himself a family member. Chloe met me and help me wash my dog with flea shampoo, helped me gather up everything I would need, helped me give him his capstar, which was necessary to kill the fleas that were on him, she helped me get my new leash she helped me get everything! Hollywood feed is more than a store; it's a place where the people there care about your pets like you do, they treat you like family, and they work so tireless to make sure your dogs are happy and Your cats are happy and all of your furry friends live their best life. Frankie is taking some getting used to being loved, but he'll learn. I also know that Hollywood feed will be there to help me along my new journey with my new friend. This was our second visit to this location. The first time it was an awesome visit. The staff was great at answering questions about different brands of dog food, and treats and interacted with our dog. Today, on our second visit, it was a stark contrast to our fist one. It was obvious that we weren't welcome. Not only by the stand offish attitude to the interaction at check out. I had questions about a new treat/toy for our dog (which we also had with us), and barely got one sentence response with no information about the item. AND our dog was also ignored by the 2 staff members. Completely contradictory to our first visit. read more

Randomly was in the area and found this spot to find some items for our pup. People are helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. There's walls of different brands of treats and toys, and has different aisles with beds and other pet necessities. They handed us a flyer that included the specials and deals at the time on certain items and they do price match! Stopped in last night around 7 to get a few treats for my standard poodles. Was greeted and asked if I needed help. I politely declined as I was just looking for treats. I walked around then found the individual sows years barrel with a taped on sign saying 10 for $15. The color of the sows ears on the sale photo taped to the barrel was the pale color with no flavoring that matched the ears in the barrel. I got 10 and a few cod skins. At the counter the clerk says oh those aren't on sale. It's only the peanut butter ears. I said no - there's a sign taped to the barrel with a matching photo of the unflavored ears. We walked over and I showed her the sign taped to the barrel. She pulled it off and taped it to the flavored brown colored ears that did not match the photo on the sale sign. I put the ears back, hesitantly purchased the few codskins only because it was late and I didn't have time to go to another store. I won't be back though. I have been going to a new pet food store on 242 but thought with such heavy traffic I'd go back to Hollywood feed but I feel insulted and ripped off as the sale photo clearly matched the unflavored ears. The unflavored are a buttery pale color. The peanut butter are dark brown. I'm still shaking my head the way she just grabbed the limited time sale ad and moved it the almost empty barrel that did not even match the pic! I pointed this fact out but she was firm in her gaslighting. For $8 they lost a customer. I have 6 pets. It looked like she wanted to push sell what was in the bottom of the barrel of the scrawny peanut butter ears instead but I totally felt gaslit. It looked like she had just filled the unflavored ears as it was over full with lots of big ears. I was happy about being lucky to get to choose when there are big ears as I have 4 large dogs. The peanut butter flavored only had the little stragglers left. If the photo had matched the peanut butter I would have believed her but it was clearly not the peanut butter ears on the sale photo. The distaste of the blatant trickery hit hard enough for me to wake up still insulted. And vowing never to go back to hollyweed feed. Bummer! read more

Amazing customer service. Asked for natural treat/ chew toy for my 16 week old puppy and they gave multiple options, i got one and he loves it and will not stop chewing on this toy. Plus they have a self checkout for introverts lol. Also great prices. The chew i purchased was just around 4 dollars. read more

4.5 stars..... First off I had a great first experience from this Pet Store from a Michael (my very first visit...5 Star). I told a couple days ago a nice lady employee who I believe was the asst manager my dog was quite happy with her new bag of food. BTW my fur baby loved her treats. It was like buying pure food ingredients like Trader Joe's. Only a few great ingredients! I wanted to know if the ''Natural ingredients like non gmo, probiotics, (meat/fish as the 1st ingredient), meal as the second ingredient, many vitamins and minerals etc... had any preservatives? The lady couldn't answer my question. I gave her my info to contact me in regards to Any preservatives of any kind but that was a few days ago and I never heard back from her or someone higher up in the company who was supposed to give me an accurate answer or her so I could write an accurate review in that regards. I was told by the lady I spoke to via telephone, I believe was the Asst manager, to google Hollywood Food History. Well I actually did Google Hollywood Food History despite a surgical procedure scheduled the next day and an extremely high pain level of 8-10. I told the store lady I was not probably going to be available the next day. I nicely gave her instructions on how to leave a message that I would receive and could read later most likely the next day. No message was left. Imo I really try to write the most accurate review possible given on facts. So as of this review I have tried to find in vain an accurate post by the company if the food is preservative Free, hence my lower star review. I know that natural and artificial preservatives are used on foods. My dog's food bag has an expiration date of 4/20/2021. I find this store 5 store so far (other than for the deduct for previous issue) with its natural dog treats I noticed. They had a huge selection of an assortment of the coolest dog and cat toys. Harnesses and grown adult pet gifts, etc..... There is way to much to mention. Maybe if you want, check out my pictures or anyone else's. You'll see much more. Imo I was impressed. I really overall liked this pet store. I would highly recommend it. Everything is supposed to be made in the USA. Yeah! There are other stores in some other states. I read they plan to expand in the future. I would definitely recommend Hollywood Food. If someone finds out about the preservatives please let me know :). So my cats eat Purina one and are very picky, due to the Corona virus I was having trouble finding their normal brand. I went into Hollywood they suggested some options, I brought the new food home and that night the cats ate through the bags of the new food! They still had a large bowl of the purina one food, they have not touched the purina one again! read more

They hold such a variety of pet food! We get all of our favorite Orijin formulas there. They have a great selection of raw beef, lamb, and other bones in their freezer. Just so much goodness! Glad this place is around the corner! Also the best place to get your pet's birthday treats and gifts! read more

I will start this review out with the things I absolutely loved about this store I loved there selection of both dog food and treats. It's the best I have seen anywhere. The young lady that helped me was super knowledgeable she admitted that she was new but seemed to know a lot about there products so they must do lots of training. She helped checked me out and was very sweet asking about my pets. The store also is in a great location. Now to the things that could be better I came in on a Saturday and I believe it was the manager who at the front was talking about how the store made her itch and that concerned me because what if it had fleas. She also was taking about how I should just give my dog a towel soaked in water and frozen to my new puppy for a hard chewer who is teething if I come into the store I want to try a product that could possibly help my problem. The next time I came in on a Thursday and another really nice super knowledgeable lady came and welcomed me in which was refreshing because the other lady behind the counter with short hair seemed like she rather not be there and was talking about customers behind there backs. The lady who greeted me gave me a flyer and introduced me to a great me food regional red. Overall I will continue to come in but there is a lot left to be desired in terms of customer service read more
