Shelves were bare twice once on December 17 2025 again on December 31 2025. Cashier was not good. She had a line and kept messing up with bar code with the hand held scanner.No supplies again had to go to Walmart to get a 30 lb bag of Seafood Sensations. Even goat bedding pine shavings were not there settled with cedar. You need to get these people to stock shelves or you are not going to have customers. Very disappointed. read more

We regularly visit the Yreka store but sometimes the Redding store gets our business. In each case, the employees are very friendly, know the inventory and are helpful loading our purchases into the car for us and balancing the load when we buy our six bags of horse bedding. I like their prices and if I don't, I just find out when sales go into effect. I purchase bird food, cat food and treats as well as cat beds for our carriers, especially when we start preparing for the wildfire season. They're well stocked for the kind of clothing and other gear we need up here. I'm very pleased they're convenient and so helpful. read more

I wish I had negative numbers. This place is great until the managers or assistant lead get around. The manager is harsh and rude to females especially his staff. He was witnessed making one of his female workers burst in tears after calling her an idiot for sharing that she was expecting. I recently purchased chicks from this store with the goal of having eggs to eat eventually (and maybe just some fun companions). This has been my first experience raising chickens. I purchased all the supplies I needed from this store and all seemed to be going well until recently. The first issue I encountered was that I was sold the incorrect food when it came time to replace my first bag of feed. I wasn't mad when I realized it, but definitely annoyed. I live 20 minutes outside of town and it was inconvenient. I honestly should have paid more attention, but I assumed that the employee I spoke to knew what he was talking about since he directed me to a certain kind of food with such confidence. Today, I was notified that I was sold meat chickens. This means that this particular bird was not meant to live long and I would definitely not have any eggs. Once again, I had been mislead. When I purchased the chicks, I had questioned the employee about the breed. I wanted to confirm that I was purchasing chickens for laying. The employee (a different employee from the "wrong food" employee) verified that the chicks I was purchasing were to be good layers. The one star is not about what is available at this store. They have all the supplies you could possibly need for your animals. I appreciate that they refunded me for the purchase of the chicks, but that really doesn't fix the fact that I've spent a significant amount of money on these birds so far and they could die now at any moment. I was notified that they would not be getting another shipment of chicks so I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I wouldn't have been mad if either of those employees had told me that they did not have an answer for me. If you don't know, that's ok. If you have to go ask someone, that's ok. I don't expect an employee to have all the answers, but I DO expect honesty and to be given accurate information. THAT'S customer service. read more

I went in to get my propane tanks filled unfortunately the pump was broken but their was this young girl at the cashier... her name was Shyla, she was very polite and informative.... she told me where to go to get those filled... I appreciate the kind gesture, on top of that there was an elderly hmong couple that also came in that day did not speak any English and the way she worked with them was awesome super polite and very nice to them.... I stepped in to translate and got everything done. I appreciate how polite shyla was and shows she gives pride to her job.... there is only 5 stars if I could I would give her a 10 star... keep up the good work shyla we need more people like you to be working with thanks again and I hope you nothing but goodness and to exceed fast in the company read more

This is part of a chain, sort of the rural Home Depot. Almost anything for the country life can be found here, ranging from chicks (the bird type) to working clothes to actual gardening tractors. Being a small business owner I know how challenging it often is to hire hard working, like minded employees that can be trusted to continue to expand the reputation that all employees has worked so hard to achieve. Tractor Supply Company in Grants Pass, OR is an outstanding store that I highly recommend. They have a HUGE supply of almost everything you could ever need. Two employees that I believe are tremendous assets to this company are Amanda and Nick. Anytime I have a question I know Amanda or Nick will either have the answer or will very quickly get me the correct answer. These employees care about their customers very much. Nothing is worse than being told a BS answer an employee that merely guesses when asked a question, only to find out after you've left what you were told was completely wrong.
