After checking out other reviews of this location I called to check on the wait time for a smog test. There was no wait so I headed over to the shop. The smog test was quick and easy and I was out the door pretty quickly. I didn't have my DMV notice with me which I was told helped make the process easier but it wasn't necessary. I had called around for quotes at other locations nearby. The special that I was quoted over the phone was comparable to the other prices I was given. I walked over to the shopping center next to his lot to get some items at Sally's Beauty Supply. Got back and sat for about 10 more minutes in his lobby. Let me start by saying the DMV sucks. They never sent me a renewal notice for my registration. When I finally checked it, it was already two days late shieeeeet! I had to pay an additional $67 "late fee." Whatever. I pay it. A week goes by and I get the DMV envelope. Ok, time for me to slap that new teal green 2012 sticker on my car. I open the envelope and it looks like a registration renewal bill. WTF! I look closer and it read "total amount due: $0.00" Ok cool I thought. They received my payment, now where's the damn sticker?? I read it a little bit more and it says the registration is incomplete because I needed a smog. Doh mai! (if you don't know what that means, Google it or ask some of your viet friends). Ok..so that leads me to Tracy Test Only. I yelped and saw this place had 5 stars. It should be simple enough to get 5 stars for a smog place right? I click on the link and saw they had a coupon for a $39.99 check + fees, etc. Ok cool. The Chevron I went to in SJ wanted $59.99. I call TTO up and ask him to make an appointment for me. The guy tells me it's ok to just walk in and get it done. Of course, I think the worst and think there's going to be 5 people ahead of me or something but hey, I need to get this stupid smog done. I print out the coupon and head over there. Crap! There's two people in front of me. I'm thinking it's going to take an hour or so. I reluctantly wait and guess what? The guy there (I think his name was Viet) told me he'd be right with me. Well he finished with one of the cars in front of me in less than 5 mins and was on to the next one. Speedy! He pulls my car into it and in less than 30 mins, I'm in and out of the place. I asked him about the coupon and he said he gives that price to everyone. I paid $51.00 total with all the fees. Cheap! This is the place to go when you need a smog test. Other place will not even test your car if all the computer system is not ready. My car battery was replaced a week ago so that reset the whole computer system and all other smog station says I need to run the car 100 miles so the computer system will be ready. I ran the car 500 miles but they told me it is still not ready. The guy at this smog station looked at it and decide to give it a try. He smog test the car and it passed. I am sure it was going to pass it is a 2010 car. The other station would not even test the car. They keep telling me to keep driving the car until it is all ready. I don't have time to keep coming back to the other smog station every 100 miles to see if it is ready. I need to get it pass so I can register the car and move on with life. The guy there is really nice and friendly. He smog check my car in and out in 15 minutes. He does not give any BS, no runaround, just straight to the point.
