Hands down best coffee in Bastrop. They have a wonderful staff who are great to chat with as they make your coffee or espresso drink to order. And the place is a time machine, rolling back the decades. Little has changed here in the past three quarters of a century, which makes it very charming. They have farm-fresh eggs, locally-grown salad greens, sausage, cheese, breakfast tacos, baked-from-scratch pop tarts, Texas pretzel bread and other items in this small store, without feeling crowded. At the coffee bar, I had a cortado (Spain's take on a cappuccino -- equal parts espresso and steamed milk) along with a little chocolate truffle. We also picked up some Opa Klein's amazing summer sausage and a six pack of Stash IPA to go. We're coffee snobs. We'll be back for the best cuppa joe in town, at a minimum. Special thanks to Mike K (one of Tracy's baristas) for telling us about this place as he serenaded us during brunch at downtown restaurant. He's a very talented guy, and very proud to be associated with this quaint and historic Bastrop fixture. You know you're doing something right as a business owner when your staff naturally delivers your best and most effective marketing, just from the sheer enthusiasm and pride of working there. Stopped by this little hidden treasure in Bastrop and I was quite impressed with their little set up. It took me back to when I was a kid going to our little corner store to get my snacks. Want to start off with the location. This little store is found a few blocks down from the main downtown area. Found right at a corner in the neighborhood. Where I could see how it is very convenient for the customers. Went in and had the lay out just how I like it, not too big and not too small. Doesn't look commercial. I walked through the small aisles and checked out what they have. They carry all your basic wants and needs. Oh my goodness they have moon pies! One of my favorite to go snacks. They have a little corner coffee station where they provide full coffee service. You may order your coffee however you like it. In addition to coffee availability, you may also purchase deli meats and you may also order a sandwich. Sodas, juices, beer, candy, and general merchandise available. You may pay cash, credit/debit, and even apple cash. The store clerks were friendly. I can't wIt to go back. It truly made me feel right at home. It's not a chain and it is truly a cute little store that I am looking forward to coming back to when I'm in Bastrop again. Come check it out. read more

I'm never going back. I grew up in that neighborhood and so sad to see what Tracy's has become. My friends and I help a homeless veteran that grew up in Bastrop and developed a mental illness while serving. Last week my friend bought a gift card from Tracy's for that man. Even when he showed them the gift card they wouldn't let him come in. I went in to ask and was told to bring the card back the man isn't allowed in there. I explained he's not violent or a thief and my friends and I would give him money on the card. I was told he can't come in bring the card back. No, he's not clean but always says yes ma'am and thank you. I'm surprised they advertise dog friendly yet have no compassion for a human being. Shame on the new owners the old owners were wonderful people. read more

Killer place, absolute staple of Bastrop. Coffee is not crazy flavorful, but it's crazy comforting. Best staff ever. From the young HS kids to Mike Kazoo, to Alan... all of em. Great place on the other side of the bridge to get quick groceries. Better than standing in line at H‑E‑B. :) read more

My sister and I just moved to the Bastrop area and wanted to get a good cup of coffee. We didn't want to go Starbucks cuz we're trying to to keep our spending local and found Tracy's! It's a nice little bodega with your essentials plus wine but we came strictly for the coffee. AND MAN WAS IT TASTY. Like sitting on your porch in the afternoon with a light breeze wafting through as you sip a cold glass of sweet tea. Or sitting and staring out of your living room window on a watching the rain come down, wrapped cozy like a burrito as your coco warms your hands. I got a black coffee. I usually add a little cream but I tasted it straight and found out it was delicious with bright flavor and slightly fruity notes- perfect summer coffee. My sister got one of their specials- a lavender/honey latte that the name escapes me. But boy-oh-boy was that a smooth, heavenly cup of joe! She literally went bug-eyed when she sipped it. Notes! Staff is awesome, friendly, & helpful. Specialty coffees (lattes etc.) are served till 4p. After that it's just drip and iced. I'm so happy this is just down the street. We will definitely be coming back. read more

This place is wonderful!!! I've been here about a dozen times now over the past several weeks. Everyone who works here is so friendly, and they have consistently delicious coffee and bean-and-potato breakfast tacos. Service is fast. They roast their own coffee beans. The grind they offer in the take-home beans is really consistent and brews well in a Kalita pour-over setup--I had impressive coffee beverages from Greater Goods in Austin, but the grind of the brew-at-home beans was inconsistent. (Get another grinder, Elissa!) So the coffee is seriously amazing, and the drink offerings are more third-wave coffee shop than what you'd expect given what's found in other spots with a similar building exterior. This is my favorite coffee shop in Texas! I haven't done much grocery shopping here yet (timing), but I see that they have an interesting blend of convenience store-like standby options and locally grown produce. Try it!!! read more

Sad to say it's one in the last mom n pop stores that said it's because they are over priced not convenient hours are out and out rude I was short on a purchase and the cashier pointed out that it me that seems to always have money problems weather that is true or not it's not the cashier business how much money I have they sit down in chairs and talk and gossip all day rather then show you were a item is if you ask a question there deli is gross it's super old meat i wouldn't feed my dog and there's no inspection sicker like restaurants have for food safety so in short expired meat and food item on the shelves there on average 50 to 75 cents higher than Heb and Walmart and there rude oh and finally u can't bring your bag in the store I understand the reasoning but there rude about that to it not Nordstrom and we live in bastrop and most of us are over forty and they think we're going to steal gum all and all the worst store I have been in and they are the reason mom and pop shops are dying they need to try harder than the big chain stores not just sit and chat with other employees all day maybe when they finally go out of business we can have a target read more

The first thing to notice is the poor lighting, followed very quickly by a peculiar smell, one that I associate with mildew and lack of cleanliness. Once your eyes adjust it becomes apparent that it's not a well kept or clean place. The stock itself is often dusty. For convenience sake, I could put up with all that. but they employ the rudest clerk in the State of Texas. She throws change in the bag, talks with people who aren't even customers, and acts like it's a big bother to ring up a coke and milk.
