Eww! I will not bring my Pocky back to this place. It's just something about the way people operate their businesses and if they are outside smoking a cigarette when a customer pulls up just rubs me the wrong way! For goodness, show some dang respect for your business and for yourself! I certainly don't want to have to walk into the establishment and smell the smoke coming off your body..I hate that smell. Ewww! Geez, I get it my Pocky hates coming here! He surely does. Its just something about this place that screams they aint doing a good job; why should I come here to get my dog washed, if I take him home to find out he has more fleas now than he had before? What, are they bathing the dogs and cats together in one tub?! Heck, only Pocky will know. He seemed even more traumatized now. I picked him up one evening and his face was flushed..he wasn't in a good mood. I used to go to PetSmart to get my Bella get her nail trim and grind but I try to support small mom and pop's business whenever it is feasible and convenient. I came across this place by Google and its only 7 minute away from me. I took a chance and I am impress by their staff and dedication. It took 3 people to hold my stubborn Jack Russel mix down for a nail trim lol. They are affordable and quick. I will come back and continue to support this business. I called another local groomer in Friendswood before calling TLC, they asked a few questions then placed me on hold and never returned. I said oh ok, they do not need my business apparently, so I politely disconnect the line and called TLC. I was greeted professionally and friendly, I explained I didn't have an appointment but would like to drop my Bella off for her first groom. DO NOT GO HERE! Absolutely terrible job. Spent $60 to get my dog groomed, dropped him off at 10AM and they weren't done till 6:30PM. His hair cut looked absolutely ridiculous and they missed many spots. Ears were NOT cleaned, we had to clean them when we got home. And i asked them to keep him in the kennel and when i showed up to pick him up he was out with the other dogs walking around in other dog's piss. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! I've gone back and forth about posting about this incident, but receiving both a stop action notification and fee from my bank was the deciding factor. To make a long story short, my sister & I took our dogs to be groomed at TLC Pet grooming (5131 FM 2351, Friendswood Tx, 77546) and tender, loving, care is far from what our boys received. My dog, a 6 month old American bully, was sent home with a nickel sized gash underneath his right ear that was stiff with dried blood and debris. My sister's dog, a toy poodle, came out with such an uneven & botched haircut that he needed to be taken to another groomer to have it fixed as best as it could be. I was not notified that my dog had been cut while in their care & very much felt like they sent him home hoping I wouldn't notice. I tried calling and left messages but never got a response. Due to the size of the gash I took my dog to the vet to be assessed and then had to purchase a $50 antibiotic ointment as well as a $20 cone to put my dog in for the next week to keep him from reopening the wound. I brought pictures and records from my vet to TLC in the days that followed asking why they didn't simply let me know he had been cut. I was met with nothing but confrontational, bad attitudes (from both owner & employees) and complete indifference to any wrongdoing on their part. After some argument, TLC agreed to refund me $100 for my dogs ointment & for the bad hair cut my sister received. I thought the ordeal over until I received a notification from my bank a few days later followed promptly by a fee for having a stop action issued on my account & I couldn't believe it. I never went back because it simply wasn't worth fighting with TLC when they clearly were in the wrong and only offered a refund to keep me quiet and get me out the door. I post this as a warning to those with pets they care about & absolutely would never recommend bringing them to TLC pet grooming. read more

I've been here countless times, and always come away completely satisfied. I go in for the full deal (bath, nails, cut), and my two dogs always return to me with their fur shades whiter, silky soft, clean cut, and all nails (including the pesky "thumb" one most other places forget) ground down to an appropriate length. Usually I make an appointment for first thing Saturday morning 8am, and they'll usually call around 12noon-1pm to let me know they're ready for pickup. I've never had any problems with the staff, nor the services they provide. We have been bringing our dogs here for boarding and grooming and have always been pleased. When boarding, the owner actually takes them home with her so they are not cooped up in a crate all day. They get to run and play in the house and yard just like at home. How cool is that?! One of our dogs has a phobia of new people and will literally shriek when someone he doesn't know comes near. But not Tracy. She reached right down and picked him straight up without a whimper. Dogs have s sixth sense about people so that should surely tell you something. Our other baby was quite old with kidney disease. We knew her health was failing fast but we had to board her to take care of a medical issue in our family. Sadly she passed while she was there but just prior, Tracy called my husband to say if we wanted to spend the last moments, we needed to come right away. Before my husband could get there, Tracy called crying that Peanut didn't make it. When he did get there she had her in a box surrounded by flowers. She also had a sympathy card signed by all the employees. We love Tracy and we love everyone at TLC. We wouldn't take our fur babies anywhere else. read more

They did such a lously cut charching us $54. Just to an UNEVEN short cut on him! It even appears they were so ROUGH that they shaved and he haa a very bad scrape on his belly! Don't bring your dogs here. I brought my baby because nobody had appointments open, but they did. I understand why they did now.. I gave this place a second chance, and I got the same thing. Last time it was the wrong length, kept it long when I wanted it a low cut, and fleas. This time it was a bad haircut where spots just have longer hair than the others and her ears are lopsided and fleas, again. On my arrival to tlc I took the time into wandering trail from 2351 as I'm going I see a dog in front of my car a few yards from me and a few from tlc. A lady was already stopped and about to grab the dog, the little dog was from tlc grooming and got or. They said she was an employees, but who really knows! Don't are not in kennels in the salon, they free roam I think it was basically baby gates blocking some areas off. read more

I was looking for a new groomer and my Friend told me all about how TLC is the best its cheap and they do a really good job. i took her advice and gave them a call the lady on the phone said it would be now more than $35 dollars i said great ill drop her off in the morning on my way to work, once i got there i knew i made a BAD mistake right when you walk in you get the smell of urine and poop, there are dogs and cats running around like a mad house and the workers were wearing like homeless street clothes not that nice looking, I also notice the tile and wood coming up from the floors and you could see mold.I did not want to leave my dog who was shaking but i had to get to work. i told the worker not to cut her hair and do not blow dry her, and gave him my number. at about noon i got the call she was ready and i left work as soon as i could to get her and once i did the total price was $38 I said i called and talked to a lady yesterday and she said it wouldnt ber more than 35 with TAX i know its just a couple of bucks iwas already upset bc they cut her and hair and i said do not! the lady was which is the owner was so rude to me and said well there is tax on dogs and just bc you know linda (myfriend) you dont get discounts i didnt feel like aruging w the lady she looked like she could really use the $$$ once i got my dog home i notice that they cut her skin who knows what happened there, this place need a new owner and there own TLC makeover bad! read more

They do nice work on the dogs however the service is not good. I used their services multiple times. The cuts were always nice but they allow the dogs to run around and urinate on the floor even after they have been cleaned. The last time I picked up my pup I encountered one of the employees sleeping on the job. She was there alone with the dogs and did not awake when shaken. I just took my dog left cash and never returned. The time before that I knocked and knocked and no one came to the door. Bottom line they are not responsible! read more

Thank goodness for this place!! My parents had taken our cocker spaniel to another groomer for years but she went out of business. After trying a few local groomers who said they could do a "cocker cut" and being disheartened after picking him up looking like some unheard of breed, we finally found Tracys TLC Grooming...and TLC was right! They really had to work with him to get him calmed down and submit to a grooming from strangers but they did it! Most importantly, when he was picked up the first time, he looked like a show dog..,beautiful, manicured "cocker cut", silky coat, just beautiful! The staff is personable, professional and obviously dog lovers. Cooper is now used to going back there and looks and feels like a champ Every time... I highly recommend them! read more

PLEASE BEWARE! We have frequented this place for about a year and have never really had a problem. I thought it was a little unprofessional but for the price and location to me, I couldn't complain. That All changed after this weekend. I left my dog with these people while I went out of town and when I returned to pick him up they had taken it upon themselves to wash and cut him again after I specifically said not too. ( because this had been done the week prior ). Well when we arrived we were told it cost way more than we expected, so when my wife asked why they told her because he needed to be washed. Ok. Well when my wife asked why the lady proceeded to go out to the parking lot where the owner Tracy was in her car in the phone. She did not realize I was in the car next to her when she said " I washed the damn dog because it shit all over itself. Next time I'll just leave him full of shit the whole time." This infuriated me and I walked to her and told her that was very rude to say about a loyal client who never disputed price. She said she had a lot going on and that is why she thought it was ok to say those words. Well Tracy I want you to know that if I leave my dog in your care and he "shits" all over himself ( which has NEVER happened ) it is YOUR responsibility!!!! Further more when I got my dog home I noticed he was urine stained and was starving and very thirsty! I want to call some type of animal abuse organization for this. I am furious that my dog was treated on this manner. It makes me wonder why he always comes back from this place traumatized. This place and these people are trash! This place is awesome! I have been using Tracy's TLC grooming since 2011 and they are simply the best. They do a beautiful job grooming and my dogs are always happy satisfied customers. My dogs also go to Tracy's almost daily for day care and are always excited to get there.... jumping around at just the mention of "going to see Tracy". Have taken my dogs here a lot over the years and never had a problem ... took them today and about a hour after dropping them off I get a call that my daughter's piebald daushand that is a $450 dollar dog had a seizure in the tub and they took her to the vet but she didn't make it . The vet said she shouldn't have died from a seizure . She has never had a seizure and had just been to the vet and got a clean bill of health . When I got to where they took her there was two girls from tlc shop there and I asked her what happen and she stated that she had sapphire and three other dogs in the tub together and turned around to get something and when she turned back around sapphire was having a seizure so she picked her up and she was not responding so they took her to the vet. The vet said when they got there she was already gone.sapphire was only a yr old, we have learned the hard way not to trust anyone with our babies again.. now I have two puppies without there mother and a daughter that's devastated over her 4 lbs dog dieing so young . read more

I've always brought my dogs here and every experience has been great! They usually see my border collie mix, Wrangler, for a good shave and they always remember him. He has a skin condition that causes him to scratch excessively. The owner (I believe it's her) gives him extra time with a conditioning treatment for his skin and even recommends things for us to do at home. They always have the nicest things to say about my pups. Most of all my dogs love coming there. I recommend TLC for anyone, it's not the fanciest facility but the care my dogs receive is all that matters to me. read more

I am so disappointed in TLC. I have been going to Tracy since before she opened her own pet salon. In the beginning I was really impressed with her new salon but over the years her prices inflated at an astonishing rate as well as the quality. My dogs(2 miniature schnauzers) have received regular grooming every 6-8 weeks for their entire lives(6-10years) and I at times have even groomed them myself. I have never experienced bad behavior from either dog and they have shown nothing but compliance. Today when I picked them up I noticed neither dogs ear hair had been plucked. I said something to the lady behind the counter and she told me the dogs were showing signs of aggression and she couldn't get it done. What is odd about her statement is the lack of numbing powder that is applied to the inside of the dogs ear before the hair is plucked. Also both dogs eyebrows have been shaved completely off and their beards have been hacked to pieces. It's sad when your 3yr old child even says "Mommy the dogs look bad!" read more

We have been loyal customers at TLC Groomers for over 5 years. My husband typically drops off and picks up our dog. When he dropped her off today, he instructed a young employee that we did not want her cut, just shampooed, trimmed around her face, and her nails cut. He told the young lady that my wife likes her hair this length. I went to pick her up today for my husband. When I saw my dog, I brought it to their attention that we asked them not to cut her hair this time. Honestly, it wasn't really even a big deal. They insisted that my husband asked for the "normal" cut. They were adamant that they were correct. They even looked at the books and showed me that there were no special notes. I told them again that he did ask them not to cut her hair and they just repeatedly said he did not. I'm not upset that there was a miscommunication about how to groom my dog today. I am upset at them for insisting that I was wrong and would not even consider the fact that they could have made a mistake. Traci then said in a very sarcastic voice to her employee, "Just charge her for a shampoo." Then she looked at me, and with the same voice said, "And from now on we will call YOU and find out what you want done." Then she stormed off to the back room. I have never requested anything from the people at TLC Groomers nor have I ever complained about ANY of my dog's haircuts. Wow, she took a situation that was not a big deal and made it a huge deal. My husband called TLC Groomers as soon as I got home to express his disappointment in them for treating his wife so rudely. He then let them know that he DID inform the employee at the front desk not to cut our dog today. They told my husband that I was the one who made it into a big deal not them. Wow...can't even believe that. This was not about not wanting my dog's hair cut. It was about being treated rude for no reason at all. We can no longer take our dog to TLC Groomers without fear of how they may treat her. Traci was obviously angered by the situation. I do not know what the other reviewers are talking about. TLC is a great place and they treat the dogs and cats with total respect and care. We have two persians who get groomed there and one is "difficult". No issue for the pros at TLC. Waldo loves them and the way he is treated. We also have our two pekingese groomed there and they love the environment and how they are treated. The prices are reasonable and the care is top notch. read more
