They said their restroom is "closed for the evening". Here...restroom right there, open so a person can use it and I was so grateful. And the motorized carts right there at the entrance open that I can access. Next up, I ask for something I am pretty certain they do not have but the employees actually get it - we are in it together and they are so kind, actually looking and saying they are pretty sure but.... I appreciate that so much! And when I go back to them to check out saying, oh you found that instead... Thank you for having such a great team and store.

When I picked it up, there were no decorations on top other than the lettering. I had never asked for the top to be left undecorated, but the person taking the order apparently wrote that down without confirming it with me. I then had to speak with two managers. Both were completely focused on explaining that it was a miscommunication, and that they would address it with the bakery team. I was not calling them because I wanted to understand the issue. I was calling because I was deeply disappointed, and I wanted the situation to be meaningfully addressed. The first manager didn't offer any resolution, and the second one offered the $15 extra fee to be refunded. But I would have to drive back to the store to receive. and I don't live close to the store. After spending $65 on a custom cake for a very important occasion, that did not feel like an adequate response. One disappointing cake would not have erased six years of positive experiences. What changed my opinion and trust was having to speak with two managers and still feeling that the disappointment, the money spent, and the loss of trust were never genuinely acknowledged.

I finally found the Hardware section, but didn't see anything saying locks. Again, no one to ask, so I wandered the aisles. I finally found the combination locks. I made a beeline for the cashier I saw when entering the store. There weren't any customers in her area, she was having a conversation with a fellow employee. I walked over to the counter and the other employee left. I saw a closed sign on the counter, so I asked if she was closed, and she said yes. So I started to walk away to search for an open cashier. As I started to walk away, I looked back and there wasn't a closed sign on the register on the other side. So I asked her if this side was open and she said yes. So I said, OK. And she asked me "what was that?" And I said, "OKAY!" Why didn't she let me know that she could help me on the other side?? And the way she asked me, "What was that?" Was said with an attitude. So I said "OKAY" with an attitude back!

The self check (which was all that was open) is a lot as well. The great news is that it is a Kroger so you can use your Fred Meyer rewards card and you will need it because the prices are seemingly much higher. There are some great sales and they seem to have pretty great produce. Also, I will say that if you need flowers or things like that you will find some pretty gorgeous blooms.

I just adore TJ's. I've been shopping with TJ's, multiple locations, for 6 years now and can't imagine not having one close enough to shop at on a weekly basis. You can get unique food and snacks, great wine, good meals and more at great prices. I find they always have great, helpful staff (even in the DC metro area where it's almost unheard of) and this location definitely has great people! My husband loves the pre-made Indian Food with frozen brown rice for lunch and I love...can't just pick one thing! read more

Unprofessional and antisemitic manager/staff. A friend overheard a lfrightening discussion between a manager and shopper against having Israeli products in their store. Manager was bashing corporate policy and proclaimed that he supports the BDS of Israel. A plastic box of grapes was over $10 at GO, while it was about $6 at Freddies. A little bag of 4 Roma tomatoes was $4 at GO, but just $.29 apiece at Trader Joe's. Protein powder that I used to get regularly at GO, went up 20% in one week. Almost everything at grocery outlet has gone up far more than inflation. Still a good place to buy bread, ice, cream, tortillas, and other items, but I seldom go anymore because of their outrageous prices. So disappointing - Grocery Outlet used to be such a great place to find bargains, now it's just Grocery Overpriced.

Karlyn not only grilled my ribs to perfection but also recommended a delicious salad to go with them from the salad bar. The whole experience was a total delight, and together with the discount, everything was under $10! Please note that the rib grilling is a special event held only on occasions like Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day, and the 4th of July. The meat department has really good cuts of meat and sausages. The deli counter has various side salads, huge slices of lasagna, pasta salad, roasted brussel sprouts, Italian sandwiches, and other delicious prepared food. Today I picked up two spanakopita for a quick dinner along with a salad. At $2 each, they made for an economical and satisfying meal. Pantry, pasta, crackers, cleaning products, beverage and wine aisles are spacious, clean, well organized and always neat. Makes it easy to find whatever you need. Many items are from local providers which I also appreciate. Please put a Basics down in the S Waterfront! We have no grocery stores in walking distance.
