Great store and employees. During this crisis, there is an elderly fast lane from 8-9. They pace you at 6 feet apart in line and wipe down the grocery carts. Lines to go in are monitored for crowd control but once you are inside, you can find necessities. read more

I love this Trader Joe's. I can't think of one time over the years I've come here where I haven't been greeted or helped like an old friend. I personally think the employees are on some kind of mood altering drug because they are always friendly and helpful. The next time I'm in there I'm going to look around for the weed brownies that I'm sure they must eat at the beginning of every shift All kidding aside I really like TJ's. They have some of the best stuff and it's mostly reasonably priced. Some of my faves are their tamales, seaweed, head to toe balm, honey nut cereal, strawberry vanilla yogurt, flowers and salads. Honestly I like everything in there. #greedy One thing I've not has is their wines. I'm putting that on my list for my next visit. I also haven't tried their sushi rolls (by the salads) but I'm going to give them a shot. I don't typically like store bought sushi rolls but perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised. Even though I have to drive a few miles to get to this TJ, I love coming here. Their prices are great!i They have high quality organic products and they have a great group of people working at that store. The cashiers rock! I always end up having a nice friendly conversation with them. It will be too long of a post to name each unique item I get every time I come here. However, I am always finding some new interesting foods I had never tried before and most of the time they are really good. I am only a fan for there beets salad. I really wish this place was near my work so I can eat healthy most of the days during work. First time purchasing hummus at the store and the one I got was okay. It has 3 different flavors. The 2nd time I got it was a lot better. It was the spicy one. I finished it within 2-3 days. =] Regarding the salad the selection (there's a lot)...I tried others but I wasnt too happy with it so I always go back to the beets salad. So BOMB. This store was a COVID mess. Went around 4-5ish and almost had a panic attack. The lines for checkout were so long they formed from the front of the store all the way to the back, in each and every single aisle and empty space. Most packed I've ever seen a Trader Joe's, like sardines in a tin can. 0 ability to socially distance 6ft. People were shopping by grabbing in between the people in lines. It took the store over an hour to get this mess settled. I waited in line to checkout for almost 30 minutes. You'd think 7 months into this pandemic they would have figured out how to avoid the evening rush dangers. Nope! 0 trust in this store's ability to handle re-opening guidelines now. I searched for Trader Joe's locations on YELP, in various cities. They're almost ALL 4 stars or better. You guys like them, so that's a sure bet I'll take any day of the week. To put it another way, my Moms WORSHIPS the Korean Supermarkets, yet finds time to shop at Trader Joe's. Smaller than the other Trader Joes I go to. It's really basic and doesn't really have EVERYTHING you would want. It's also a bit cluttered and hard to find things. It took me over 15 minutes to look for crackers, which I gave up and bought some artisan bread instead. Their selection of cheese isn't that huge, either. Other than that, it's Trader Joes! I love this place! Advice: Bring your paperbags from your last shopping experience at TJs and they will give you a raffle ticket. read more

I HEART Trader Joe's!! I come here at least once a week. It still gets 5 stars even though they have discontinued some items, like whatever happened to the whole wheat pasta with flax seed? That was sooo good. And the brownie bites with sea salt? Nice and fudgy with a hint of salt on my tongue. Yummy! And the frozen Penne Arrabbiata? It was the perfect lazy day meal for me. I usually grab the extra sweet strawberries, bananas, salads, Larabars, French Village yogurt or Fage yogurt, and Grapefruit juice. Their wild blueberry tart (in the frozen aisle) is addicting! With another day of intense heat outside decided to try the new coconut water at Trader Joes. The closest one was in Cerritos. This is a relatively larger store clean and organised , it was cool inside and and tried their free Mocha it was awesome. Got the Coconut water it turns off your desire for food and fills you up instantly. It has potassium and helps lower the blood preassure naturally. Okay I do shop around for the best prices, I guess I get it from my mom. But TJ's has the best prices on fruit. Bananas are .19 each, fuji and gala apples are .67 each. Pricing is not by the pound, each. I've shopped at F&E, Walmart, Sprouts, Whole foods. TJ wins. Some items can be pricy, like loading up on their snacks or pre-made foods and salads. I have to be careful here, I almost picked up a Mediterranean plate (pre-made), it was 1000 calories! No joke. I quickly dropped it but it looked so good. This TJs location has wide aisles and stocked shelves. Interestingly there is a wide mix of cultures here and a low level of manners/etiquette. The staff is always friendly the customers are not as friendly. My following comments are not exclusively directed at immigrants, native born Americans are just as rude. 'tards, don't place your carts across the aisles blocking traffic. TJ Cheeses are always a treat. A very decent wine selection and there is always a show as customers rush to grab free samples of food and drink at the rear of the store. It's reminiscent of hogs being fed at County Fair. This Trader Joe's location used to be my favorite TJ's store. After my last visit here, I've since changed my mind and I'm never going back. The main reason is that I feel the customer service at this store has really taken a nosedive. There were two ladies in particular (I'm not afraid to name names, either). One was a middle-aged Asian lady named Linda I. and the other was a young white lady named Ashley B. I felt Linda I. was just a cold fish. She was manning the checkout line the particular day I went (last year around this time). It was around 9:00 a.m. and I greeted her by smiling and saying, "Good morning." She just looked at me like I had an eyeball growing out of the middle of my forehead. At least she thanked me when she was done bagging my groceries, but it sounded very mechanical and robotic. The last time, which happened last month, was when Ashley B. was the one manning the checkout. Once again, this was around 9:00 a.m. I greeted Ashley by smiling and saying, "Good morning." Ashley says "hi" without any kind of enthusiasm. After she bagged my groceries, she just tossed my receipt into my bag without saying "thank you" or "have a good day." NOTHING! She just turned to the customer behind me and greeted that person with a big, "Hi! How are you?" Night and day difference. I was completely dumbfounded why she treated the customer behind me so much nicer. Both times I complained by e-mailing Trader Joe's corporate. Both times I received an e-mail response from the Regional Vice President apologizing for how I was treated and that the employees in question would be coached accordingly. The last time, I replied back stating that the manager of the Cerritos store needs to exercise more discretion in hiring people who truly love working with the public and providing the exceptional customer service experience Trader Joe's is known for. One thing about this store I noticed is that in the afternoon and evening hours, I got really great customer service. It's in the mornings when the store first opens and there's hardly any customer traffic that I encountered the grumpy store clerks (maybe they're not morning people?). Now, when I want to shop at Trader Joe's, I go to the Long Beach store on Bellflower Blvd. The customer service is SO much friendlier there. As for the Cerritos store, I'm not going to darken their doorstep anytime soon, if ever, unless they hire a whole new crew who still value providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. read more

This review is on the location itself. It's not the greatest. I did some shopping earlier today and the parking lot was filled with carts. I had to dodge them as I tried to choose a parking spot! Not fun. The customer service wasn't the greatest. I'm normally used to be asked if I was ok or if I needed help finding anything. Not at this location. I love this trader joes. There is ample parking in the plaza, and the employees are very friendly. I noticed that this particular chain generally has very chirpy and energetic employees. They are well stocked, which is a plus. I always get their salads to take on the go for my lunch. My favorite salads are the mexi-cali, southwest, roasted beet, citrus chicken salad. Don't forget to ask for forks during checkout if you need. Lately they have been expanding their Speculoos cookie butter items to ice cream and cheesecake. Both are SO delicious! Another dessert favorite here is the dark chocolate peanut butter filled cupcakes. For a market, they make such good desserts! read more

I don't know what it is about Trader Joe's, but I love it. I wish I had discovered Trader Joes before I had, because this store sells so much awesome stuff at good prices it's impossible to describe. My freezer is always stocked full of random Trader Joe's merchandise. My fridge is always topped by 2 bottles of random Trader Joe's wine. And anytime I need some fresh vegetables, I know exactly where I'm headed. I've found every Trader Joe's to be pretty similar. Friendly and helpful staff, expedient cashiers, and the inability to keep Thai Shrimp Gyoza in stock. Seriously, I buy 3-5 bags if I see them. Always excellent. read more

Here's the thing about Trader Joe's- if you were given 10 products randomly off of their shelves, chances are that at least 6 or 7 of those products would be something you would absolutely enjoy. The only other grocery I can think of where this same principle might apply is Costco, which itself is pretty good about stocking high quality goods. All those Ralphs and Safeways and M&S and HomePlus's do have decent enough products for the most part. The problem with these places is that they stock their decent products amidst a sea of beige, mediocre ones, so you have to know what you're looking for before you buy their goods. That's what's nice about Trader Joe's. You can saunter about the aisles, carefully studying everything they put out there, and buy something that looks good or interesting to you without worrying too much about whether the product is absolute horsecrap. You can be adventurous in your shopping without kicking yourself for wasting money on something you don't like. Some of their stuff does get a little pricey, so you do have to watch out for that. read more
