Still reliable source for poultry and other meats! I was looking for whole chicken and two groceries I went to previously had zero after the holidays! Clean and well stocked , lots of baked goods marked down for pies and dinner rolls, cookies too. Friendly and efficient cashiers plus grocery bagger. I used the express lane today and I may have had more than 15 item limit but not over 20! She did not complain, and I'm thankful for that. Snack Cheetos were buy 2 and get one free - who can resist? Cashier Anthony C. has no sense of customer service and should clearly not be one. He gave the woman in front of me the same disdain. I walked up and said "hello" with no acknowledgement. Not even a glance. He was too busy talking with his coworkers. He finished scanning all my items and didn't even tell me my total. Didn't ask if I wanted any bags. Now at this point I'm just waiting for him to get the card machine ready but he's too distracted talking with his coworkers. Finally ready, I pay and he gives me my receipt. A nice clean store. I went to the deli to pick up a cleo-leo sandwich which was very good with potato salad. The crew behind the counter were very nice! Heard they have an awesome bakery so will definitely order some treats there when i get around to it. They have a pretty solid meat dept BUT didn't have any short ribs available. Once again the butcher meat cou ter failed me. You get all the commercials fresh always the best. I was given frozen St. Luis style ribs from the always fresh and the best on Saturday. Ruined my smoke trying to cook the same night. The butcher could have at least told me hey these are frozen still. Nothing. Paid for over priced $5 a pound coulda bought cheaper 1.99 a pound and butchered myself to St Luis style. Absolute joke.... read more

I only came in to order croissant sandwiches and chocolate and powder sugar dusted croissants and strawberries. The girl in the bakery side, Danielle, is so sweet. My daughter and I was looking to also purchase a small cake for my mil bday. I looked at the strawberry and cream filled concha. Yes I said concha. That thing was huge and for a good price. Told Danielle to hook it up. My daughter also saw these cute high heel cupcakes. There cutest. The girl in the back had just made them and put 4 out. 2 hot pink and 2 turquoise. I absolutely love this market which is perfectly situated on my way home from work. Whoever is working here is doing an amazing job at keeping everything so clean and organized and restocked. When COVID first hit us I was working at night down the street and made a mad dash to this particular market during my break. It was heart breaking to see the onslaught from the public that this place took but I'm so grateful they are still doing so well. I have a stater bros in Whittier which is awful compared to this one in Artesia. I love their deli which also includes so many different cheeses and cold cuts but the best part is their Sushi making post. These fresh rolls never disappoint us and for the price, it's all good. read more

This Stater Bros is a hidden gem! The bakery's cakes are BETTER than the expensive custom order cakes and a fraction of the price! Cake is never dry and whip cream frosting is lightly sweet and delish. My guests thought I custom ordered my daughters birthday cake! Also, side story- I also came here last year for my sons third birthday and he knocked all the cupcakes over while we were standing in line to pay. The frosting was all messed up and I had insisted we would take the cupcakes like that and it was fine. The cashier wouldn't accept that and ran over to the bakery to have them fixed up brand new! Fairly new to the Artesia Stater Bros. store and have been very impressed at each visit. Getting familiar with a new store takes a few visits and every time I have asked where an item is the folks were always pleasant and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is always very clean and organized.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have a few items I can only find by running all over town and they had almost all in stock. During checkout I asked the checker if the store takes requests for new items and she immediately called the manager and he had her write down the item (lime corn chips) and took my number and said she would let me know when it comes in. Love this store and hate to write a bad review cuz I love this store. So I just finished my home cooked Mother's Day Bbq dinner with Certified Angus Rib eye steaks. Spent $50.00 on 3 good sized Rib Eye steaks. These steaks were full of flavor, but they were also full of fat. In fact they were all pretty much fat. They looked great, nice and juice when you cut into them but the meat was very chewy and you end up having to spit it out. We even put them back on the grill but It didn't help at all. So my Mother's Day dinner is a bust. I still love this store and I know things can't always be perfect and now and then you will get a bad piece of meat. So just here to let my store know that the Rib Eye that they have right now, that maybe you should rethink selling them and maybe try making ground beef out of them. Just a thought. read more

This is my go to grocery store. It can be a little crowded on weekends so I usually stick to coming on a random Tuesday night for less crowds (also better selection since I am pretty sure they restock Tuesday or Monday from what I've seen). I love that they have seafood here including lobster tail and snow crab legs for a great price. I also love how they have a huge parking lot and they are sanitizing all of the carts. My favorite employee is Beatrice and every time I have her check me out she is always so sweet and quick! I really wanted to shout her out because she really is awesome. I love how she always tells me about additional deals when I'm checking out.
