I've always seen Trader Joe's as a discounted version of Whole Foods. They carry the organic products and the healthy options to grocery shopping, but they keep cost-effectiveness in mind. I usually shop Trader Joe's for my snack items or "here and there" ingredients as I like to call them. This TJ's is very clean and well kept. The service is nice and friendly for the most part and they're always well stocked in most items. The prices are very reasonable and there always seem to be interesting new finds every time I walk in here. Although this TJ's is smaller than your average TJ, they carry almost everything you need as far as your grocery basics go. The only thing I wish they had was a larger produce section. I would have given TJ's a solid three stars as an OK place to stop and shop, but upon my last visit I was sadly disappointed that an employee by the name of Greg found it more important to carry an extensive conversation about daily-life and politics with one of his female friends/acquaintances, rather than stop to ask if I had a question or provide a simple/short answer to the question I, in fact, did have. I stood-by waiting patiently for several long minutes, providing looks of inquiry to both him and his female friend, yet they both chose to ignore and carry-on with their conversation. So be it -- for that, minus one star. I'm sure the rest of the employees would have gladly answered my question if it wasn't for the fact that they were all preoccupied at the growing check-out lines. But, it's ok.. I'll just go find myself another Trader Joe's or Whole Foods next time. read more

I love this place! They have great produce, bread, wines, cheese dips and frozen foods. My favorites are their tamales, salmon and chicken, pizza, and their frozen shrimp. Trader Joe's is my absolute go to for grocery shopping! They have unique products that you will never find at Ralphs with prices that you would find at food 4 less!! I'm not one who is skilled in the kitchen, unless its eating, so I'm all about frozen food that you can throw in a pan and presto! A gourmet meal is served! I will literally walk down their frozen section and fill my basket with quick meals and microwavable meals for work. My coworkers are always jealous when they walk into the break room and smell my meal cooking in the microwave. They get even more jealous when they find out that my meal only cost me $1.99! They also have healthier alternatives to most popular chips such as funyuns and cheetos, which i think personally taste better than their artery clogging partners. Somehow I always bring home more items than what's on my shopping list, so I bring an extra reusable bag. I like this location... easy parking, easy freeway access, great location on the end with other stores nearby, lots of some of my favorite things in stock, not very crowded when I'm there and the staff are always helpful and courteous. On the last shopping trip, Cesar took over the cashier station as I got to the front and saw that I chose a box of the seasonal Halloween Joe Joe's cookies with the carved chocolate pumpkin face and he shared that his favorite was the other Halloween pumpkin cookies so he allowed me to take one of his cookies from his snack cup to try it out. We got the last register at the end by the wines and desk, the girl that helped us was tall, brown hair and an older gentleman was helping her bag, SHE had the worse customer service ever. She was rude, arrogant and not friendly at all. She started talking to the older gentleman and laughing, making fun of us. Honestly, what a horrible experience. This is my go to Trader Joe's. They offer everything I need here. Fresh produce and amazing snack selections. Some of my favorites are -almond butter -dried baby sweet pineapple -greek yogurt spinach kale artichoke -hummus -soy creamy cherry chocolate chip ice cream I'm pretty much here every week for my weekly grocery shopping. 12:09am. The stuff is still in my trunk. I'll get it out tomorrow. I woke up late and decided to take advantage of my late start and go run errands. Costco then Trader Joe's. I was long over due in buying some Tom's Fennel toothpaste and Tea Tree Oil facial pads. Love the stuff. I called a friend and we took a trip to the town center and into the store. Lots of stuff to choose from here and I LOVE the selection of meal bars. Huge variety of brands for replacements found here and they are readily available both by singles and by the box. Aside from the bars, the chocolates and various snacks are well stocked and the store over all is very well kept. The groceries are fresher and presented better than other TJ's I've been to. Cereals are abundant though the oatmeal selection left me wanting. I couldn't find the Irish Oatmeal that I always eat. That was a huge disappointment. Lots of wines though the TJ's in Mission Viejo has the most impressive selection that I've seen so far. I like Trader Joe's because they're fun to walk around and have a lot of things that I need on a daily/weekly basis. Clean living in a fun atmosphere and PLENTY of dark chocolate. I can't help it, I love to shop there. They have everything one would need to survive (groceries, bakery goods, meats, produce, paper goods, and sundries). TJs is stocked with a large inventory of organic, vegan, and kosher foods. I love to walk up and down the aisles while browsing their offerings. Whenever we go for a few items, our cart is usually filled with treats that were not on our shopping list. Along with a staff that is friendly and helpful, they employ checkers who actually remove the groceries from your cart and bag them (how many supermarkets can make that claim?)? Consistently all of the Trader Joe's employees are great but I love going to this one because they make the effort to know your name and make you feel at home. Even though this location is far from my home, I stop here since it is close to my work. They are also very nice with returns. My Trader joe bag ripped not so long after purchasing and they were more than glad to replace it right away without asking any questions. High quality items - almost everything I buy from this place is always delicious and/or healthy for great prices. 2. Less selection - while some may say this is a con, I really appreciate not being bombarded with an overwhelming number of selections. I like knowing there's only two or three types of flour being sold which makes choosing much easier. 3. I've been to my fair share of TJs, and while every store has the same great products and good customer service, I've come to love this one in Cerritos for many reasons. - They are constantly restocking their goodies and are rarely out of anything. - I've never encountered one grumpy worker which really is saying something, even for Trader Joe's (as they're known for a great work environment). - The store is really clean and well maintained. I love this Trader Joe's - they are super nice, regardless of whether they have 15 customers or 150. The service never, ever suffers. I came here to shop for some Whole30 compliant items and was able to find what I needed and more! The prices on the produce are high, so I don't buy those items there, but they have a great selection of nuts - both raw & salted, which is precisely up my alley. I had my son with me and he picked up some orange chicken in the frozen section. This was his first experience with TJ's so he was a bit skeptical. Well, let's just say he loved it. He's now a fan. Also love that they use paper bags, not plastic, and the bags can be reused. I have reused mine 3 times since then. They are sturdy! I will be back this weekend - need some prosciutto! read more

Ever since I started my diet, I've been going to TJ's to purchase healthier snack options. I may not be getting the healthiest items, but it beats buying greasy potato chips any day. I never leave the store without: chili mango, parmesean & herb pita chips, chicken caesar salad, and Laughing Cow spreadable cheese. Service is outstanding. They'll walk you to the item instead of just saying the aisle number. I'd give it a 5 star except parking is excruciating as you dodge to avoid bad drivers and careless pedestrians while looking for a parking spot. read more

The costumer service is the best I have seen in a while. I was able to interact with a few employees on my trip there yesterday. It started at the wine section, where not only did they give me info on wines, they helped me get the boxes into my cart. (carrying baby in carrier) At check out the line moved quickly and the woman behind the counter was very friendly. She even offered my little girl a sticker. (now we are both happy) Not only was she quick to get me out of there... she even rang the little bell and someone came to help me get my groceries to the car!! Did I mention the wine? Trader Joe's has really upped their snack game! They have great seasonal offerings and I love that the store is small and they carry only Trader Joe branded products - you can get in and out fairly quickly because you don't have to stand in the aisles comparing 10 different peanut butters. Their frozen section has great guilt free ready made foods. Another great thing about TJ is their sample counter - I have become hooked on several products because they have someone whip them up in the back for you to sample. And finally my favorite final stop before paying - their greeting cards. They are very high quality paper and beautiful artisan type designs all for only 99 cents! read more

My first Trader Joe's ever!!! It was the closest TJ's to my house in HS, and it's still the closest one! It's a bit of a trek for me, but when I feel a TJ crave, I hit up the Cerritos one. There's a good amount of parking at this location; it's never really an issue. It's attached to the Cerritos Towne Center, but not. The staff is always very friendly, their stock is good, and everything is easy to find. After or before TJ's you can hit up Cerritos Towne or the Best Buy which is really close too! :) read more

LOVE THIS TRADER JOE'S! My mom used to work here when it first opened, and up to now she still sees the same familiar faces. I guess TJ's treats their employees really well. You can tell too because everyone's so friendly, and seem like they're in such a great mood. I love coming to this place, not only is it a neighborhood market for me, but they have everything I need. TJ's has the best products, I've never disliked anything I've bought from there. I also LOOOVE the samples they give out, I try to restrain myself from getting seconds, but the workers are nice enough to give another one if it's not too busy. Just wrapped up a family shopping trip at this location. It looks awesome! The store is spacious, the food is well stocked, the isle are clean (although not lacking in shoppers), and the staff were so helpful. The manager came over to help with a void on my sell, and to my surprise it was one of the former crew members from my local trader Joes, Erin! The company got it right when they promoted her into this position. She was always one of my favorite crew members to see during my DAILY ( yes, that's not an exaggeration) trips to the store. Very helpful, very friendly, always demonstrating the best leadership while still being approachable. Plus she knows trader joes- the brand and the up-to-the-moment updates on any one product. I will definitely drop by if I am in the area. Love this place and any Trader Joes for that matter. We need some Raw foods and kombucha in this store...wishful thinking for future times read more

There is a food corner in this market where tiny samples of sandwich are offered to its customers. It also offers free tiny cup of coffee untasty but amusing while shopping here. The problem is not the quality of free samples, but the lady working in this food section. She looks always exhausted with her big sagging body rudely shouting "Save the cup!" with her full expression of hostility on her face, never smiling. I don't know why and for what I should save the paper cup after use. She may believe the sample-loving customers are impudent and causing hard work to her. The corner has now become a mine-field I have to shirk to keep the normal emotion. read more

Very friendly and personable staff. They get five stars. Selection is good too- they actually have some stuff here that other locations don't. I really give this place a middling review solely for the clientele. My local TJ's in Yorba Linda is rarely too crowded, and the people there are savvy- they move at more than .5 mph, they are aware of other people around them, etc. I don't know what's in the water in Cerritos but I feel like every person in here is going at a snail's pace, changing direction arbitrarily on a whim, and basically annoying the hell out of me. (I know this sounds petty and is not the fault of TJ's but I gave the establishment their props. I get the same items on every visit. I bet I can do my shopping with my eyes closed and 10 minutes max. I know where these items are exactly located. List is as follows: case of Smart Water, precooked brown rice, chicken breast, Cinnamon chips, and sliced mango for $3.99. One star knocked off for being located in the Towne Center. I have very slow driving reflexes and majority of the folks that shop here have worse reflexes than I do. Which I thought wasn't humanly possible. Trader Joe's is always great and this one was no different. As you walk in there is a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables; had to pick up some in season yummy strawberries! As you continue along there is the pre-made food section and then various meats on the right and breads on the left. We perused the frozen food aisle as well but skipped most everything else. The checkers were very nice and cheery =D Ample parking at this location but it's kind of hidden in the back of the Cerritos Town Center! read more

It's hard to say anything really bad about Trader Joe's. They are the gateway market into certain quality foods. There's Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Trader Joe's. Sprouts is like a mix between TJ & WF. Whole Foods is probably the best when it comes to quality and sustainability. TJ is best at delivering crowd pleasers and bridging the gap for people who need a less intimidating place to be introduced to certain ingredients. Some things are cheaper at TJ than at most markets... look for those items. Brussel Sprouts on the stalk during Thanksgiving time. Basil leaves (although, you really should start growing your own at some point). Their burrata is decent now (saves me trips to the cheese factory). Certain seasonal items like their Dark Chocolate Shortbread Stars are like crack. Is TJ perfect? No. If I could live in one of those markets, it would be Whole Foods... they are uncompromising. TJ sometimes the items are better priced, but aren't local / organic. Make sure you read what you buy! read more

I'm one of those Hawaii people love to bring back Trader Joe's snacks home. This location was the closest to our hotel in Anaheim. I filled my cart with cookies for my friends and I, bacon sriracha jerky and dark chocolate pistachio covered toffee for my husband, and gummy stars for me. This location has lots of parking. Pretty much the same layout as the other TJ stores I've been to in other states as well. Hawaii peeps, remember that you can't put Cookie Butter in your carry-on. You'll have to check-it in your luggage if you don't want to waste your time with TSA taking it out of your bag. read more
