This store is great! It's small but the staff are doing their best. Ian was super friendly in the frozen isle. I think he was flirting with me, but who knows at TJ's! Haha. Although the Sawmill store is my go-to due to location, I have shopped at this store a few times when I am in the area. There is a parking lot right in front with a cart corral so it's pretty easy in and out, depending on how busy Easton itself is. I'm a huge fan of TJ's, so what else can I say except it's a great store. The clerks are always helpful and are happy to show you where something is if you ask. I love this store for all the fresh produce and delicious items found in every section. I really love their coffee and the discovery of Ristretto espresso capsules! They save me money and taste great. Everything is good, fresh and the store is clean, well stocked and staffed. A touch more than Kroger but Ill pay it because these guys treat their employees better and its just an over all better shopping experience. For general items you'll have to use generic markets. Very good Trader Joe's location. Trader Joe's has a lot of things you can't pick up at Kroger or Walmart, but unlike a lot of similar stores the prices are not outrageous. Frozen food section is awesome with a ton of pre-made meals that actually taste good. They have a lot of unique, delicious, and healthy packaged products including awesome coffees, cookies, and numerous snacks. The meat selection is very good and the cheese/dairy selection is amazing and very well priced. You can find a lot of interesting items too such as buffalo burgers, soy-chorizo, and various cheeses. The produce section was decent as well in my experience, and the alcohol section seemed fairly large at least in size but I can't accurately comment on selection. On top of the good selection of high quality products for good prices, every worker I've encountered at Trader Joe's has been super friendly and helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend if you're looking for high quality and/or unique products without paying an arm and a leg. read more

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite places to visit. I just love that they have so many items that are fair priced and not national brands. The produce is always up to par and I am rarely disappointed when their selections. The staff is friendly and you can tell they are there to help you. I can always count on them to assist with any questions I may have or point me in the direction of the answers. If there was anything negative I could say, it would be that they should have more of these spread around the city and that they are doing me a great disservice by discontinuing the cookie butter cream cheese. This Trader Joe's seemed to be a bit smaller than what I'm used to but it certainly did the trick. I drove by after forgetting that it was there and decided to stop in to grab a few things that I know I can only get from TJ. The staff was pleasant, everything was stocked well, and the fruits and veggies were really fresh. They were even sampling ciders, perfect choice for October! I wish they had one closer to home but this will do! read more

Can anyone actually say anything bad about TJs??? It's clean, the shelves are well stocked, and the prices are great. The bathrooms are very clean, too! I had a flight delay so I stopped by TJs to stock up on snacks before I waited at the airport. One employee and I got to talking and he helped me pick the best beef jerky for waiting (teriyaki). He later came to check on me and send well wishes for my flight. Nice guy! read more

I remember the days (ie just 2 months ago) when going on a business trip meant eating at all the fine restaurants, especially since my meals are reimbursed. That's not the case for my most recent trip to C-Bus. I found comfort in the fact that Trader Joe's is located less than a quarter mile from my hotel room. This TJ's is like the others, small and busy. But this TJ'S has to be one of the busiest that I've been to. Grocery shopping goal was chicken breast, rice cakes, broccoli, and non-fat Greek yogurt. I just needed enough to last 2 days or 12 meals. Mission accomplished since I was able to find everything on my list and for a very very busy TJ's, was in and out quick. Overall, always a fan of Trader Joe's. I'm an even bigger fan when the store is close to my hotel, convenient, and the check out is quick. I have a love-hate relationship with Trader Joes. I LOVE their fair priced specialty foods and friendly employees! BUT, many many times when I go in they have either discontinued my current Fav thing, OR are just completely out of it and a few times their produce has been less than fresh when I bought it not knowing it was moldy due to packaging. I've never tried to return any products there, even thought they say they'll take back anything for any reason. It's too much of a hassle to try to explain bad fruit, I just stop getting it there. I constantly find myself annoyed by Trader Joes, but I cannot stay away. They carry so many of my go-to ingredients that I can't find anywhere else OR have a price that can't be beat! Not to mention, the people that work there are so darn nice. Why, TJ, why do you have to toy with me!? Why can't you have everything you promised you'd have and keep everything I've always loved in stock? I still love you though because you still have so much great stuff to offer in a fun shopping environment. So, I'll be back!! I heart TJ's. There is stuff here that you just can't find anywhere else, similar to a Whole Foods, but unlike Whole Foods, the prices are right. I spend less at TJ's than I would at a Kroger or Giant Eagle. The frozen foods section is amazing. For people on a time crunch, this section will save your life. Yummy desert, hors d'oeuvres (mac and cheese bites, anyone?), fish, lunches, etc etc. The beer and wine section is great too. My favorite beer is the TJ's Vienna Lager. Tasty - and at $5.99/six pack, it's the cheapest craft beer I can find. They also have your traditional craft beers, as well as my all-time favorite, Chimay. The wines are great. They sell at all price points, but as a frugalista living in a single-income family, I usually go for the Charles Shaw wines at $3.29 a bottle. (And it actually tastes really good! No one can tell that it's "cheap wine") Also, the service is impeccable. The staff is a notch above grocery store staffs elsewhere. They are always cheerful, knowledgable, and engaging. The only drawback is the sub-par produce section. But I'm willing to overlook that. Trader Joe's makes me experience virulent heart-eyes. What Trader Joe's does right, man...they really do right. Frozen foods, snack foods and basically anything that can be Trader Joe's brand is so tasty and (more importantly) so reasonably priced. I can buy so many yummy groceries without really feeling the heat on my wallet. This location in particular is great because the people are all so ridiculously friendly. When they ask "How's your day?" I genuinely feel like it's a friend who actually wants to make sure I'm having a good day. I wish there was a Trader Joe's closer to the center of Columbus. I would do more of my regular shopping here if that were the case. But as it is right now, I'm not going to waste gas and time to drive all the way out to Easton, unless I have other business there (like the Apple Store or something). The service at this TJ's is AMAZING. one time I couldn't find the figs that were listed in their store circular, and when I mentioned it offhand to the cashier she rang for the manager and he came and explained that he decided the figs weren't quality enough to sell. Great! I would rather have no figs than mushy moldy figs. and I like that he explained it straight-up. I also love their prices. Trader Joe's probably has the best prices for a lot of their non-prepared items in the entire city. Especially for their vegetarian selections - veg chorizo for $2? That's cheaper than meat chorizo and definitely cheaper than whole foods. They also have $2 almond milk which is a dollar cheaper than everywhere else. Woo! They also have the most amazing cheese selection at the most amazing prices. Blows my local Giant Eagle out of the water. Their wine selection here is good, but my favorite boozey item to buy here is the Trader Joe's "Vintage Ale" which is actually made by Unibroue in Canada, which is one of the best breweries that exists. And it's a delicious Belgian Strong ale... for $5. Score. Their parking here is also separate from the other Easton stuff (supposedly, you'll get towed if you're not at TJs), so parking is less of a pain in the ass and you don't have to haul your loot back to your car half a mile away. read more

As a recently-converted Vegetarian (as well as health conscious consumer), I really do feel intimated, lost and uncomfortable when I go grocery shopping in a big-box store like Giant Eagle, Kroger or Wal-Mart. So many aisles, so many brands of everything, so many label-reading to make sure I'm actually GETTING what I want. Not at Trader Joe's. The MUCH smaller-scale selection has every single thing that I need, usually cheaper (though for some products MUCH more expensive) but definitely SO much more friendly. Comfortable. The people who work here don't hate themselves like the 16 year old checkout girls at Giant Eagle. I just wish it wasn't 20 minutes away from me! If you value your sanity, do NOT come here on the weekends. The boy and I came by here since we needed some groceries for the week and we were at Easton. It is not for those who need their personal space! The store is nicely laid out, just not big enough for the sheer numbers that can appear on some days. I have come here in the early mornings on weekdays, and it is much calmer. I do like the store, and I think that their prices are sometimes better than Whole Foods, although I have not done specific comparisons. Their meat case is a little confusing since the prices aren't always listed on the descriptive tags, and so matching them up can be a challenge if it's crowded and people are grabbing things from all around you. I wish it were not so far away, otherwise I would come here more often. The only other location is out in Dublin. I'm a fan, it's just not logical to drive all the way out to Easton for groceries when Kroger is just down the street and Whole Foods less than two miles. read more

The best customer service! One of our paper bag was broken and fell onto the ground before we stepped out of the door because it was stuffed too heavy. A lady staff came over immediately and helped us dividing the items into two bags. She noticed a small damage on one of the apples due to the fall and asked us if we wanted to go get a new one. We said it's fine no worries but she insisted and went over herself and got a new one for us. That was a wow! Never had such levels of customer service at other grocery shops. read more

I cannot believe I haven't written a review of Trader Joe's before now. Well, let's fix that. I love Trader Joe's. We do the majority of our weekly grocery shopping here and can get almost everything we need in one small store. I love their selection of: *Meats - Often certified organic, usually all but certified-organic. Hormone free, and delicious every time. Sometimes their meat is cheaper then Giant Eagle or Kroger. *Cheeses - Almost unsurpassed in selection for the price. You can find almost any cheese you want at a great price. *Cereals - I love their cold cereals. Always a great price compared to national brands and always delicious. *Frozen foods - They simply shine here. The best frozen foods you can get. Period. End of Story. No arguments. *Pet food - I love their holistic cat food for my kitties. They love it too. Their treats are great and I never leave the store without some cat tuna. *Personal Care Products - I love their body wash and their shaving cream. *Wine - I love wine. So does TJs. It's why we're friends. Whenever I go into TJs, I know that I'll find something delicious to eat. I'll be happy with what I bought, and I will tell people about it. I know I will find friendly and helpful employees each and every time I go into the store. I know that they can recommend delicious things and help me make decisions when I am not certain about what to get. I know that when I am in the wine section - they can tell me what's a good deal for $5 and what I may regret later. You can almost never go wrong when you go into TJs. Some reasons I can't give it 5 stars have been mentioned by others: *Produce - I have literally had entire boxes of Clementines mold the next day after bringing them home. While, they will replace anything that this happens to if you bring it back... it shouldn't really happen at all. I just don't go to TJs looking for amazing produce. *Discontinued items - many things are limited time but not stated that quantities are limited anywhere on the tags. So, you may fall in love with something and then a month later, it's gone and will never be seen again. I don't mind that they bring in unique stuff... but TELL me so I don't get my heart broken. *Condiments - TJs goes a little off sometimes on SOME of their condiments. Frankly, their ketchup is disgusting. I couldn't use it at all as you normally would... we hid it in marinara dishes until it was gone. Their Dijon mustard is terrible. Their yellow mustard is okay... but a bit too thick for my tastes. Not all of their condiments are horrid... but I am wary each time I go to buy one. Trader Joe's is such a strong 4.5 rating I decided to round up to 5 because the customer service is stellar. While I've had more than my fair share of produce blunders, the staff is always very apologetic and provide replacements without delay. I love the amount of organic bagged produce options TJ's provides. I know, that sounds weird but in my area many grocery stores only provide a couple of options and it's usually just Granny Smith apples and oranges. Here we get apple variations, pears, limes, lemons, garlic, potatoes, onions. The list goes on and on! TJ'S packs much punch into their space, making great use of their square footage. The cheese section is fun, the wine section never lacks for options and I appreciate the consistency in product flow placement. It's relatively easy to find most items and I enjoy walking the entire store each visit for new goodies to try. I've had many the great conversation with staff members and always leave with a smile on my face. What better way is there to shop! read more

Trader Joe's is one of those places that you keep going back to because it makes you feel good. They dont have as much of selection as traditional grocery stores do but they have everything that you need. New shoppers make sure to really look & compare prices. If you do you'll realize that TJ's costs less then GE and Kroger and you get much healthier food! TJ's sells everything from cold cuts & side dishes to chips & dip, to ceral & coffee, and even pet food & greeting cards. They just dont stock their shelves so heavy so it appears to have less stuff. Recently expanded, this TJ's is one of my favorites! They sell wine & beer, specialty sodas (like their root beer around Christmas!), the freshest fruits and veggies, and things you just cant find anywhere else (like their cookie butter). They even have a whole line of TJ's brand products that knock their competitors out of the water! I've come to trust store brand products thanks to TJ's and I've been able to save a TON of money by shopping here. All of these reasons could have easily won me over but the reason I dont shop anywhere else is because of the TJ guarantee. Not only do they refuse to sell GMO's but they wont even make a partner ship with any seller then uses GMO's so you know you're getting real food! I love that I can trust where I shop and not have to over think what I'm buying! Trader Joe's give me the ease of mind to know that anything I buy will be healthy for my family and GMO free! Trader Joe's is my jaaaaaaaaam. Great prices. Really good products. Amazing customer service and policies. I really have gotten to where I can't live without Trader Joe's in my life. Did you know that, if you have an issue with something (like you get some tomatoes that go moldy immediately, or you buy something and it's gross), you can just tell them next time you're there and they will refund it or replace it? MAGIC Things I have to go to TJ's for include, but aren't limited to: fig spread (think Fig Newtons without the gross cookie part) feta cheese (cheap and it tastes good) cookie butter (holy crap) tortellini and ravioli (makin' dinner so fast) red AND YELLOW roasted peppers in a jar (wut) pita chips fair trade coffee for like $7 soyrizo for $1.99 grass-fed yogurt (because Snowville is delicious but also costs many dollars) tahini sauce (so lemon, much taste) The cashiers are always way friendly, too. The way they unpack my cart for me instead of me awkwardly trying to do it in a tiny, cramped aisle makes me want to do a dance every time. Everything from the food to the customer service has been top-notch here! I always get elated when I find myself walking into this store. The physical store space is not huge. But, this sparks a small smile on my face: a much more intimate setting than the big grocery chains. Thus, naturally, they have to be selective of what they sell (they can't just sell everything, not enough room). A little of this, a little of that. I've had questions about products, and every time they strive to give you the best answer. The employees here have checkout down to a fluffing science!! They're all about efficiency with a smile. I have always been a fan of trader joes. This location is near the Easton Mall. As always the staff is friendly, laid back ,and excellent food selection . The Trader Joe brand products are always a great choice.If you are a fan of pumkin try to pumpkin waffle/pancake mix! I also love the vanilla yogurt, and rice bean and azuki chips. This location seems to have quite a few things that other locations run out of sooner. Weekends are a bit crazy here because of the crowd easton draws. Trader Joe's has rescued dinner more times than I can count. Sure, we could have gone with the umpteenth rendition of pasta and meat in bottled sauce and called it a day, but thanks to their convenient on-the-way home location, actual whole meals can be made that don't involve pasta. Not that their dried imported from Italy pasta for dirt cheap isn't great. The service here is fantastic. If you find yourself waiting at the checkout, that's because they're full. Otherwise, the staff is constantly opening checkout lanes to help get you on your way. I'm almost always picking up produce, breads and meats but have had excellent luck with frozen goods, cheeses and the TJ branded canned goods. Parking is easy with a generous lot (some patrons might want to be less aggressive about stalking upfront spaces...the logjam you create to walk 30 less feet is crazy), prices are great and the staff is super helpful. I love Trader Joe's.. I really really love this place. I'm one of the people who actively grocery shop here. People think this place is pricey, and really, it's not. The people that work there seem to really love their jobs and know about the products that are on the shelves. The wine selection is good, and one of the cashier's actually carded me. Bless her soul. What I love the most about Trader Joe's and I know someone out there will know exactly what I'm talking about.. is the people watching.. The people that go to Trader Joe's just to say that they shop at Trader Joe's because they think it makes them look cool... but never really buy anything.. There's nothing in their cart, but they spend their time on the cell phone telling people where they are at- and just trying to be seen.. It's more at the Easton Trader.. It just makes me laugh.. just like the lady who was in line in front of me buying a candy bar, but told the lady she was on the phone with that.. -"Trader Joe's is my place- I just bought two cartfulls- you know I do all my shopping here" and it's not like i really care about who does what, etc. it just was funny to me.. how people think where they shop for milk somehow moves them up on the social scale. Parking is a nightmare! But isn't most TJ's quite infamous for their horrible parking? It's an obstacle you must take to enjoy the glory that is Trader Joes. This location is always busy when I come around, but the aisles are wide so that you're not bumping shoulders with everyone you pass by. I like that they open up as much registers as they can to get you in & out as quickly as possible. I was in a line of maybe 3-4 people ahead of me and another cashier called me over almost instantly. LOVE this place. My boss gives us a basket from here for Christmas every year and I loved the trail mix and crackers that were in it so much I decided to take my happy butt on down to Trader Joe's to see everything they have to offer. Their store is extremely clean and they have LOTS of specialty foods to pick from. I was surprised at how affordable the food was. Quite honestly, most of it was cheaper than Kroger. My daughter and I had a blast going up and down every aisle looking everything they have to offer. Everyone from the employees to the other shoppers were very nice. BTW my husband LOVES tamales but I never buy them because I think they are absolutely disgusting. I found some here at this store and he said they were delicious. Stopped in here last week when we were at Easton. Needed to get some Luna Bars and some cheese. We found the cheese, and only found that the Luna bars that I like, they didnt have, but that is ok. This was my first time in this branch of TJ's. It seemed rather large compared to the Dublin location. Lots of goods and plenty of options. They even have lists at the customer service desk of all of their Gluten-Free and Vegan products-- how awesome is that? I find it very useful. Prices are very reasonable. Today, mes amis, I'm singing the praises of my favorite jungle of healthy sustenance: Trader Joe's. First, for those of you whose neighborhoods are not graced with one of these bastions of affordable organic wonderment, allow me to paint a picture. Trader Joes' (Trader Joe'ses??) are fashioned to appear as massive trade ships of exotic culinary treasures. Although relatively small compared to Whole Foods, Joe's is packed with hard-to-find products, unusual produce and a staff that doesn't look at you like you're from another planet if you don't smell like patchouli, make your own clothes and/or wear your hair in dreadlocks. Joe's also has its own store brand that, in general, is EXTREMELY affordable (read: dirt cheap) and boasts no artificial colors or flavorings. For anyone who thinks they can't afford such luxuries as organic or whole foods, you should know that on the whole, Trader Joe's is even more affordable than my neighborhood grocery store (the only drawback being their size and specialty means I have to make a second trip to the regular store for certain items). Ok, I lied. There is a second drawback, and that is that there are only TWO Trader Joe's in this town. Seriously? You guys are always packed every time I take the trip out there; people love you; we would certainly love you even more if you were closer to home. (Pst...just by the way, Trader Joe's, there is a really great furniture store that closed down and would make an exquisite location for something in the way of, say... a health food store?? Just a thought). Perhaps, however, it's not so bad that these stores require a mini-voyage. It makes the experience feel special, rather than mundane errand-running, and I definitely give myself the extra time to explore. (As a person with a wheat sensitivity, Joe's has become a treasure hunt, with new gluten/wheat-free products showing up on every return visit: bagels, waffles, pumpkin bread, gnocchi... brownies!!) And, should you need any other reason to make the trip yourself, I have two: 1) A CNN study just rated Trader Joe's fourth among "healthy" national grocery store chains (see full story here: http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/diet.fitness/11/11/Healthmag.healthiest.grocery.stores/ 2) The employees are "Stepford Wives" friendly. I never really knew what the heck Trader Joe's was. I only heard about it because a friend of mine used to work there a few years before I even knew him. I didn't even know that it was a grocery store. But then a former co-worker and I were talking about how much we can spend on groceries and she started telling me how she stopped going to Kroger and does all her shopping at Trader Joe's because it's so cheap. I had heard that Trader Joe's was grocery shopping for rich people, so I was confused. But also intrigued. I wanted to check out this place once and for all! Needless to say, I was pretty impressed with the place because now I go back from time to time. In fact, I was just there today. It wasn't the greatest discovery, but this store definitely has it's good points. As far as I know there are only two Trader Joe's in the city. One's all the way out near Tuttle and the other is at Easton, which is way closer to me. It's not too close, so I don't go here too often, but just when I'm in the area or I need to stock up on a few select items. But what sucks is that being at Easton makes this place crowded and parking can be such a pain. I suggest coming during the day on a weekday. There is a parking lot across the street from Trader Joe's, but if Easton is crowded, you won't find a place to park there. It's right by the mall - I wish it was just a bit further away. Trader Joe's has this kind of laid-back atmosphere to it. The employees wear tee-shirts, some with Hawaiian shirt designs. Prices are marked on the shelves with markers on paper or with colorful chalk on chalkboards. There sell a lot of organic food, a lot of stuff that you can't find anywhere else, because it's Trader Joe's own brand. They have a lot of health and natural food, but it's not all that. They do sell fresh produce, meat, cheese, milk, bread, all that stuff. But most of it's organic. For that reason, it's a bit more expensive. I don't know what my friend was talking about, but some of the simple food staples I mentioned above are quite a bit more expensive here. And if you don't have to have organic, it's much cheaper to go to Kroger or Giant Eagle for milk and eggs. But some things here are cheaper. But I do like some of the unique finds from Trader Joe's. For example, they have some great frozen turkey meatballs that I buy. They aren't that expensive and they're really good, not to mention better for you than regular meatballs. Another thing that they have here is hummus, and I've found that theirs is remarkably cheaper than other places. And it's so good! They have little containers of single flavors, like red pepper or tomato basil, but also have this great quartet of flavors for only $5. I like the variety of hummus flavors. I got something different today: 3 layer hummus, with red pepper, traditional and cilantro - 3 kinds all layered on top of each other. I love their hummus, so I usually only get it here. They have some really unique foods here. I love their sauces. I always stock up on their red curry sauce to make Thai dishes at home. I've also used their pad thai noodles and they were great. Today I bought a cranberry apple butter that I can't wait to try. They have a great selection of unique frozen meals and sides. We got these garlic french fries and they were restaurant quality! You baked them in the oven and they came with a bag of garlic seasoning that was delicious. We also got a frozen mint cheesecake that was really yummy. I've bought so much here before, and it's very easy to go in and want to fill your cart with everything you see. They have delicious yogurts, although they are a bit expensive. They are unique flavors like green tea - my favorite! I'm also a huge fan of their trail mix. It comes in different flavors like tropical and wild berry. Hint: it goes great sprinkled on a fresh banana! Trader Joe's also has a section for pet foods and vitamins and supplements (for humans). You grind your own fresh coffee beans, too. The absolute greatest thing about Trader Joe's is the wine. They have a huge selection to choose from from all over the place. They are also usually featuring some that are under $5 a bottle. The prices range, but you can find some really cheap stuff here, but it's still delicious. In fact, sometimes I like the cheaper stuff better than the expensive stuff. It's awesome if you want to stock up on wine, which is what we do. In fact, if you buy a whole case (12 bottles) you get 10% off each bottle of wine. I should also mention that you can mix and match, it just has to be 12 bottles! Since wine keeps, you can go and stock up and that way save a little on each bottle. And if you stick to the cheaper bottles it's really not a bad deal at all! I pretty much only buy wine from Trader Joe's now. There's no reason to go anywhere else when it's so cheap here. All in all, I'm glad I finally tried this place out. Now it's my go-to place for wine and hummus and for finding unique food options. read more

Trader Joe's is my happy place.. Every time I come here I am always impressed with not only the knowledge of the employees and their willing to help attitudes but the samples of anything I might be wanting to try!! I mean they already have a guarantee on all Trader Joe's branded items that if you don't like it bring it back and get a full refund... I love everything here from the orange chicken to the wine and beer... Nothing disappoints!!! In 10 years of shopping here, I have never had to take advantage of their money back guarantee... I just noticed it's been 8 years since I posted my initial review of this wonderful store. If anything has changed in how I feel about this place it is that I love it even more. I was beyond delighted when the cost of groceries stayed the same here while they were rapidly climbing up everywhere else a few years back. Love me some Trader Joes. I still remember the first time I heard about TJ's - it was a delicious, moist, macaroon that made stop and say, where the heck are these from?! It has been a wonderful relationship ever since. First off, their prices are just stellar. I don't know how they do it, but I am one of those loonies that goes around with a spreadsheet of things I buy and the best places/prices to buy them. Trader Joes is almost as cheap as Aldi for some things (which is ironic, given that they are owned by the same people). There are, of course, some things that are going to be slightly more expensive, but they are usually the organic or fancy stuff that you would have to give Whole Foods your first born for. The people here, specifically at Easton, are awesome as well. My son loves going here with me for the treats and stickers they give him when we enter, and then when we find the white dolphin! I will continue to go here for years to come...I only wish they would open one in Clintonville! read more
