I have been curious about Trader Joe's- I am kind of a grocery store nerd, I love grocery shopping and trying new things (particularly new frozen things because I am lazy.) Although this is no where near me (about 35 minutes away) I decided to take a pleasant drive and check it out, hoping that mid-day on a Friday might not be too too crazy. When I entered the parking lot and there were multiple people directing traffic I realize that maybe it was going to still be a bit hectic. BUT I managed to be directed into a baller spot (right in front of the door) and while it was pretty busy, it wasn't a mad house and the employees were all crazy nice. It was a little overwhelming and you didn't want to be that person hogging all the space in front of the various nut (and cookie) butters so I'm sure I missed some stuff. Overall, I've been pleased with my purchases! The two buck Chuck was indeed quite drinkable, the dark chocolate peanut butter cups are amazing, as were the falafel chips and the coconut water floes. The frozen mexi-pizza thing I tried was kinda blah but that's the only disapointment but it's probably better in the oven (again, lazy, so I microwaved it.) I liked the bacon that came in a six slice package- I always find packaging up unused bacon a pain! I'll be back for sure at least for the peanut butter cups and to further investigate the gluten free options (they have a list online out but I didn't know about it until I was checking out!) read more

As a transplant from California, I admit, I'm a little biased when it comes to the BEST EVER STORE, Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's carries some of the best products I would stock my fridge with. Prices are good, produce is fresh, and prepared/prepackaged foods are surprisingly good! Everything is a little bit cheaper, and products are a little bit more unique. You can find a multitude of trail mix, nut butters, pretty much everything. Some of their frozen prepackaged food are pretty tasty, and they even have natural skincare products. It's hard to judge the actual store itself since I went during opening weekend, and it was CRAZY packed - lots of items needed to be restocked, and waiting in line was ridiculous. Hopefully when the hype dies down, it will be just as unstressful as going to any other Trader Joe's. Oh, yeah, and get the mango sorbet. That thing barely stands a chance to even make it into my freezer before it's devoured. read more

Trader Joe's is just a little more over the top than your typical grocery store, except that it is just a little smaller in size and selection. After seeing a line similar to a funeral procession, I assumed that this would be a food mecca. Wrong was I; there was actually not much to go around. They haven't really worked out the parking situation, but luckily, I snuck a street spot. After wandering in, I figured it necessary to control the perimeter...much like a CIA agent would do. Well, that took me all of 2 minutes. Central Market up the road has a much larger selection, if you are actually into buying food. Here, you will pay a little more of a premium for produce and not find as much in the way of variety. The goods are also a little less local than Central Market and Whole Foods. I guess not being so much of a Texas/Austin thing, they aren't really focusing on providing you with what the Lone Star state has to offer. Give Trader Joe's a shot, if not solely for the ability to say that you have graced its presence... or rather that it has graced your presence. They carry some fine products, and you definitely won't leave empty handed. There is something for everyone at this one-stop-fits-all boutique/grocery type shop. read more

I actually drove from downtown Dallas to FW to shop at Trader Joe's. I enjoyed my experience. They had a lot samples out and feel they have a large variety of your every day items. I look forward to one opening closer so that I can try more out. Parking was tricky as they have some of the entrances blocked off so that you can only use them one way (such as only an entrance or only an exit). With all of the street parking we saw when there was seemingly nothing else on the side roads was alarming...that matched with the "No Trader Joe's parking" and we thought we were going to have to turn around and go home but it wasn't too busy and there was plenty of parking right in their lot...complete with a tenant to guide you to a near spot. read more

First time ever going to this store was in California, when I heard it was going to be in Texas I was super excited. When we got there parking was crazy! Thank god for the assistant of the workers to help us find the next available parking. Store had great items with great prices and very well organized. I wanted the gummy tummies and the Thai chili nuts which was very easy to find with all the customers pushing you around. I got a carton of one dozen peaches for $4.99... I'm excited. And a recloseable bag of baby spinach for $1.99... super excited! I also like their wheat bread and gooey delicious peanut butter :) They also have a bag of butternut squash you can put in the microwave and eat straight outta the bag without any season and it's delicious. (I learned that from a college student). Albeit kinda small, the Trader Joe's in Fort Worth is cute and has most of what I need to stay as healthy and fit and happy as possible. It's too bad I live in the mid-cities, I'd drive there every day. read more

I was skeptical about some of the Frozen food for instance, that I've bought here but that skepticism didn't last long. It's all totally affordable. Although they will run out of things like Avocado's and my Favorite Mcintosh Apple Juice which at one point was hard to come across at Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's is a great option, aside from Central Market when looking for better quality groceries. Not everything here is organic, but they do have an all natural selection that hits some of the organic label requirements; e.g. no hormones, no antibiotics, etc. Their parking lot is a bit small so I would avoid it during busy times. Even if you go when it's not busy I would recommend parking in the first spot you see because there may not be another. They really are just like a smaller version of central market. Their organic produce, meats and etc. are all in a smaller selection. But despite the smaller selection, it's still more than any other grocery store. They also sample on the weekends and prices are comparable. Many still avoid this place due to prices, but those are people who don't care about the quality of foods they are eating and frankly, there will be less people in my way here haha so it's still a plus in my book. They have some great cheeses. Many options for eggs. People love this place for their frozen items, but I would disagree with this popular opinion. They do have great organic frozen fruits though. They have a great return policy; if it doesn't meet your standards you can return it with no questions asked. I actually got a box of crackers from here that are expired so I do need to bring them back. When that happens I'll report on my experience if it is different than they advertise. read more

First off, who doesn't love Trader Joe's! The fact that they are located within walking distance from where I live makes this place more amazing. This location is always pretty busy. Parking is adequate. Store is always well stocked. Great selection. Bad thing about this store...if you go in for a few things be prepared to buy more items than you went in for.  Example seen in this picture...went in for milk and eggs....but walked out with all of this! They have a great selection of cheeses, organic produce is priced well, many gourmet items, gluten free items, and large wine selection. I too have been super curious about Trader Joe's. Also a bit skeptical. I waited for what I thought would be a decent amount of time past the open date to visit and first tried to stop by this past Sunday around 6pm. Bad, bad mistake! I circled three times looking for a spot before I got annoyed and left. I decided to try again on a Tuesday afternoon about the same time and success! There were quite a bit of people there but it wasn't packed by any means and I got a place right up front. I didn't really intend on buying anything so I didn't get a basket. Shortly after entering I discovered some garlic french fries in the frozen food section. Now, garlic and I are passionately in love, so I had to have some. I had no sooner picked up the bag when an employee rushed over and asked if she could get me a basket. I said please and she was off and back in a second with one. She wasn't the only friendly one either. Everywhere I looked, there was a kind employee asking if I needed help, offering a smile, or assisting someone else. I was really impressed by that and hope it lasts. Anywho, back to the STUFF! I didn't get to peruse the shelves as I would have liked as I was pressed for time but I did grab a few things. Everything seemed reasonably priced and there was a ton of variety. Especially if you like frozen food like I do! (I'm not ashamed.) I ended up also getting an Indian inspired dish, some garlic noodles, garlic chipotle salsa, and a bottle of wine. The Indian frozen meal was not my cup of tea at all, but everything else was pretty tasty. They also had produce, dairy, and meat sections all of which I would like to try eventually. The store isn't huge...I would compare its size to an Aldi. Much it was much, much better. It's cute and fun and I will definitely be back! read more

I guarantee anyone that walks in here will love it and leave this place with happiness! Store might seem to be on a small side but packed with everything you need. Staffs are always very friendly and cheerful. Produces are always fresh and full of variety. Organic options available. They have organic meats here! A plus! Yummy frozen and refrigerated cooked meals. Chicken Masala is really really good for less that $7 They have tangerine juice! So Awesome. Wide selection of Wines. Very good quality but cheap price fresh flowers. You can not possibly resist picking up a bunch. Nuts and grains, and pet foods, and household items. Restroom is clean and spacious. I seriously can not find a negative thing about this place. Well, they don't have baby kale but they have green mixed with baby kale in it. That's good enough for me :) Did I mention the price is great? The price is great!! Very reasonably priced (actually even low price for some stuffs) Great price for Organic Stuffs. Oh so busy. That's been said in almost every review because it is a large part of the experience. I was really surprised at how small it was. I don't know why I was expecting a huge market. When I walked in there was fresh produce and I zeroed in on the hummus. I could try 3 different flavors in one container. I'm sorry, but that made my day. Anyway, my guy tried some frozen Indian curry dish and when he microwaved it it just turned to mush. It looked nothing like the picture on the box. It didn't really detour me from trying other stuff though. They really do have a large selection of frozen foods I want to try. We bought some dark chocolate cover bananas that were very addictive. We polished those babies off before we even got home. I do have a mild form of claustrophobia and some isles were so busy people were forming lines on both sides and it felt really cramped. So much so I refused to even go down them until it I cleared out a bit. The employees are quite nice and I cheerful. The cashier was so happy and informative and I think this place is environment conscious, according to her at least. I guess when I am over that way I will probably stop by again to try some of their unique frozen goods. Of all the locations I've​ been to, TJ has never disappointed me. This location keeps the standards held high- spacious, clean, happy vibes, and friendly employees! I came later in the evening​ when they would normally be out of all my favorite snacks, yet they remained in stock of nearly everything!! Employees were running around replenishing the shelves that were empty, and moving quickly too! Our cashier rang us up in the blink of an eye, and was so cheerful while doing so! These employees love their job and make grocery shopping much more tolerable. Honestly, you can't beat the prices for the quality of trader joe's items and customer service. read more

The store has about 1/3 (one third) the selection of Whole Food Market or Central Market and most of it is private brands. Nothing wrong with private brands, but food is all about having multiple choices since everyone is different. The quality of the breads were not impressive, not as good as CM. The pricing on produce is kind of weird - selling by piece 19 cents for a banana. Overall - if you had a choice of visiting CM, WFM & TJ - I would go in that order, CM is still my favorite health food store to buy the best quality breads, organic produce and bulk foods. read more

For a little less than forty dollars, I got hummus, sweet potatoes, baby red potatoes, grass-fed filet mignon, organic chicken legs, broccoli, hummus, flat bread, milk, and a few other items. These same things would've cost at least $60 from Central Market. I didn't like the hummus, but so far the meats and veggies have been delicious. Parking is a bummer, but that's to be expected these days. The first time I visited Trader Joe's, I walked in and walked out without buying anything because they are stocked with food from their own companies. It's a little intimidating at first, when you're new. So, budget a little time for exploration. My cashier and the other customers were significantly happier and more courteous than those at Central Market. I dig it. read more

This place is amazing. The first Trader Joe's I ever went to was the location in San Diego, CA, and I remember thinking "I wish there was one of these in Fort Worth." Low and behold a Trader Joe's opened up about a year and a half ago on Hulen Street. I hadn't had the time to drive over to that area until this past Tuesday. I have recently started a much healthier diet, and have been a loyal buyer of Aldi, but I felt I needed to add another store so that I wouldn't limit myself to just one grocery store. Everything about Trader Joe's is superb. The store is much smaller than Central Market, or Whole Foods, BUT it's just as great if not better. The prices are unbeatable. If you guys ever get a craving for Organic Pesto Pizza, it is absolutely delicious!!! I was pleased to find all kinds of choices in the meat and produce area. I bought some Soy Milk cheese singles that taste just like cheddar. And I was able to find an Almond Butter that expires until 2016! Such a good deal because the last Almond Butter I purchased at Aldi's expired within a month. Customer service is outstanding. Our cashier Chris was really personable and you could tell he really loves his job. He informed me of their awesome return policy: You can return anything you don't like, and even if you ate it and still go there and tell them you didn't like it, you will get a full refund. He explained that it was because they do sell many products that people might not be familiar with and might not like at first try. I wouldn't' say anyone should return anything though, because everything I have tasted from my groceries was yum!! read more

We drive up from Mansfield about every 6-8 weeks to stock the freezer with clean meats for family meals and kids lunches. There are always beautiful mini-heirloom tomatoes, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, and the pricing is more than fair. It feels so good to know I can feed our family of five chemical free on a budget! I always get staples such as olive oil, cheeses and broths. I'm addicted to the shampoo, conditioner and body washes! The employees are always fun, friendly, helpful, happy and make working there look like a ton of fun. Today we had the pleasure of checking out with a hilarious and sunny gal named Allasan, but I've never once come across anyone I didn't enjoy. Love, love, love my TJ! read more

I was so excited when this place opened! Love this store. It's not huge- so you can get in and out quickly and not be trapped in a maze of food. The produce selection is small- but well kept and seasonal. The cheese and meat section is very nice. My favorites from here are the frozen goodies! So many things to help out with dinner on nights where you are crunched for time but want to eat organic/healthy. I love the trader joes brand rice pudding and tapioca. The ginger snaps, wasabi seaweed snacks and kettle corn are awesome too. The wine selection is solid and I love the 2 buck chuck cab. The bottles are deceptive- it looks smaller but it's a 750ml :) Construction on Hulen really makes getting in and out a pain- but it will open up soon I'm sure. read more

Smoked salmon, and any prepped salad. ...And most other things they have to. Matter of fact, #AllTheThings. Black bean chips (like tastey little cheeto puffs), turkey gobbler wrap in the fall, smooth and mellow coffee, lime sparkling water, red cold pressed juice, mushroom flat bread pizzas. I can keep going... I would LOVE for them to get a drink fountain with fresh iced tea and a picnic bench and I would eat lunch here every day. It's one of the few places that you can still get lunch for under $5. Lots of prepared foods with pizazz. I would go for 5, but come on, a table to eat isn't too much to ask, right? This place is amazing the staff are extremely helpful and what I love about the staff here is if you need help finding something they will actually walk with you grab it and hand it too you! You don't see customer service like that at Walmart they give you directions as if you are in the country! As a student, Trader Joes is a god send. They have so many frozen food options that are decently priced and pretty healthy! I love the simple packaging of their fruits and veggies. It makes it really easy for me to load up on fruits and veggies to snack on. My favorite snacks are the three layer hummus and the herbs and spices popcorn! They have amazing frozen Indian food like the chana masala (tastes similar to my mom's, but not as spicy), naan, palak paneer and butter chicken! To top it off, everyone who works at this location is so friendly and sweet! It really makes my grocery shopping experience less of a chore!! :) My only complaint is that it's not closer to my apartment! read more

Shout out to Trader Joe's employees- every single one of them- they are AWESOME! I despise shopping..... doesn't matter what kind. That said; every time I go into Trader Joe's I come out in a better frame of mind than when I went in because their employees are THAT awesome. They never make you feel like a burden for your stupid questions and always go the extra mile. For example, I was picking out a little cake for my notoriously picky toddlers 2nd bday. Got to the cashier and he was talking about how good they are.... I said oh good it's for my sons 2nd bday.... at which he advised that he always thought of them as more of an adult treat cause they are more dark chocolate. So I asked if he thought I might be better off with something else. At which he asked if I wanted to try them first?!!! I agreed and he was right- they were delicious but my 2 year old would have hated them. He let me go pick out something he recommended to be more kid friendly. What an honest and wonderful thing to do!!!!!! Most employees would just do an eye roll and say they were great and send you on your way to get you out of their hair. Not at Trader Joe's- they genuinely want you to love what you buy! They always give my kid a sucker and a slew of stickers- so he loves TJs too. And then there's the samples. Gosh- I could go on. Cool place. Lots of fresh and unique items. Reasonably priced (10-20% higher usually than your typical supermarket) but excellent quality. Wish I lived closer to one, so I load up on Soyaki Sauce, Island Soyaki Sauce, Sriracha Garlic BBQ Sauce, and various TJs sauces, dressings, and jellies. I visit Trader Joe's pretty much weekly. It's a no brainer. You can get a variety of fresh produce for a reasonable price. My favorites are the organic zucchini, squash, bags of fresh arugula or rocket salad, asparagus, different types of tomatoes, portobello mushroom and the fresh nectarines. They also have a great selection of cheeses at a great deal too if you are a cheese lover. We also love their Banana bread mix which I add apple sauce instead of oil to cut down on the calories and some pecans for some crunch. The trail mixes and olive oil popcorn are healthy snacks that we like to add to our weekly diet. There is also a great selection of wine for Old and New World Wine Lovers. Basically, there's something for everyone in this grocery store. So if you haven't been here, you must visit at least ONCE. read more

I....love....Trader Joe's! I already was acquainted with the awesome qualities of this establishment before these Texas locations started opening up so I was bouncing with excitement when I got to finally shop here. I was pretty impressed with their produce selection and dairy choices. I also enjoyed looking at all their frozen items...they had so many healthy pizza choices and lots of frozen veggies. I also gushed over their wine selection (three bucks is hard to beat for their Charles Shaw brand). I also had to use every ounce of self restraint to not shove all of their chocolate into my cart at the register! Next time, though, I will plan that into my grocery budget. I really look forward to my next trip over there...and may or may not fantasize about it every once in a while. read more

Fresh, Organic, Typical Trader Joes Really the only thing special about this store is that it is a Trader Joes and located here in FW. This is a typical, yet small TJs. If you are from CA, then you will love the opportunity to feel back at home, but in reallity it is a small store and they have a nice selection of everything but it just feels small. Love this place, organic and healthy foods. Love it especially in fall, they have everything pumpkin: seeds, breads, beers, and the samples OMG!!! A pumpkin bread with a bourbon syrup, yes bought items and served to my family, a big hit. Now, it is a little pricey, but there are sales and offers. You do get what you pay for. You can also get salads, hot food, snacks for home or pot lucks and the staff is very helpful. read more
