I was happy to see Trader Joe's. I moved from CA and I shop here all the time. They are alway ready to help you find what you need.

Trader Joe's is a place I go for certain items only. Those items are awesome and that's why I make the longer trip. The thing I always grab is TJ's "Cup of Joe" whole bean coffee. This stuff is only $4.99 for a large container and man is it good! I stock up! They have many more expensive and fancy coffees, but trust me, Cup of Joe is where's it at! I'm addicted to their pretzel bread, it is sooooo good. Final item is their "Simpler Times" beer. It comes in a lager and a pilsner. Both are amazing! They come in cans, which turns many people off. Listen, I'm a beer snob, but I got over it after trying this beer. Here's the kicker....it's $3.99 a 6-pack! I stock up on this, and use it to supplement my fancy beers. I am not/ never have been impressed with their meats or produce. Go someplace like a local butcher and/or produce. read more

Oh I love trader joes! come down south! We drive more than a half hour to do most of our grocery shopping there. That says a lot... we put our gas money where our mouth is. Its worth it! Try the Simpler Times Lager if you want decent cheap cheap beer. They also have a good selection of stuff from Three Floyds and chicago beers like 312. read more

I really do like TJs a lot. The cheap wine selection is enough to make me put on a brave face and drive through Castleton. I also love the coffee selection, the frozen self-rising croissants, the fresh flowers, and the service! Oh how friendly everyone is! Here is why I can't give them 5 stars: parking is abysmal and on Saturday afternoons the parking lot is a disastrous maze of strollers and SUVs dodging a chicane of shopping carts. Here is my advice: GO DURING THE WEEK. This is not a quick stop on a Saturday afternoon -- it's a giant cluster of cars, carts, and people. During the week the atmosphere is much more relaxed and the experience is 1,000 times better. Shop here because it's awesome, but think very hard about whether you can handle shopping here on a Saturday afternoon. OK maybe you can stop in after your Saturday yoga class when you're still in a mystical, zen-like zone and can't be bothered by crowds. And of course, bring your own shopping bags. Trader Joe's is my go to when I need a quick, nice dish for a party. I discovered the chocolate ganache torte in the freezer section a few years ago. Allow an hour to thaw at room temperature. It never fails to get lots of raves. On a spur of the moment picked up a $1 glass dish and this cake for a wine party. It looked like a million dollars and it took less than 10 mins to put both together. The other day it was my perfect dessert for the Red Wings playoff party. It looks like a puck. Place on white plate and tada dessert in 5 and no leftovers to bring home! The cake is decadent so don't be deceived by the small size. Their beer selection is another gem for parties. We go to a lot of themed parties so love the seasonal beers with the snack recommendations. Quick and usually a bargain price for the quality. The wine is another surprise. The value selections are as good if not better than some of the higher end brands. Pair this with their fantastic cheese selection (prefer the goat cheese either herb or cranberry) with fancy crackers. There is always something I can pick up quickly that makes me feel healthy. An organic soup or quick dinner item. I've never been disappointed in quality of the items. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Secretly love reading their weekly flyers. My mom's husband passed away and a few weeks later she went to this Trader Joe's. In conversation one of the cashiers complimented her wedding ring so she mentioned that she lost him a few weeks prior. When she was taking her groceries out to her car, a gal worker came out with their largest potted orchid and with teary eyes gave it to my mom. It was a kiss from God to my mom. It's Trader Joe's, do I seriously even need to give it a review? It's as simple as this: If you are not going, you should be. Ohhh, you want to know why? How about fresh, organic, high quality and CHEAP amazing food. I adore their seasonal items, I love how they mark items that are fast sellers or customer favorites, ethically sourced and crazy good coffee that you can grind in the aisle. If you have a lush for a mom (like I do), you can supply her wine habit without going broke. Orange chicken, veggie lasagna, dark chocolate wafer cookies, maple leaf cookies, caramel, honey, olive oil, babka, it is all so wonderful. read more

Trader Joe's is my favorite place to get groceries! They have a counter in the back where you can try 2 to 3 different items that are in the store (it changes every day). I always go here to get salmon; I haven't found it better anywhere else yet! The staff is alway friendly and helpful. They are very quick checking people out and loading up groceries. I love that TJ's doesn't have big name brands, instead they just have the Trader Joe's brand. They also have a great beer and wine selection. My husband usually finds beer that he likes at a really good price! We love TJ's! read more

I absolutely love this store! I really appreciate all of their efforts to keep the store as clean and safe as possible during the covid era. The staff was so friendly and even asked about what my plans were. I mentioned my moving back to school and he even recognized me when I left (30 min later) and wished me good luck at school. If you want great food at great prices then here you go! Trader Joe's pegs itself as a unique grocery store and I peg it as the nicest grocery store ever. No High Fructose Corn Syrup or trans fats here! The staff is even friendly! A small store, but packed with goods. Here are my recommendations - fresh salsa, stir fry veggies in the produce section, Triple Berry cereal, all of their cereal bars, all of their frozen section, Joe Joe's cookies, honey & sesame seed almonds, 3 buck Chuck wine, boxed corn bread, and I could go on and on. My name is Amanda and I'm a Trader Joe's addict...no seriously, I am at this store way more than any normal person should be. It's so bad that I actually named my dog Jo Jo after the TJ's brand of Oreos (she's black and white, so it does make sense)! I used to walk to my local TJ's in Boston, which kept my splurges to a minimum because I had to schlep all of my purchases back home on my shoulders. Not here. Park in front, load down my bags with things I didn't know I needed until I stepped foot into the store, and start the snacking as I drive the short distance back home. Trader Joe's is great because say you're thinking about trying those delicious Joe Joe's but you aren't sure how they're going to fly with the Oreo loving fam. No worries, take them home and if the fam gives them a thumbs down, you can return them to the store for a full refund! How often do you find that at a regular supermarket? Take the advice of an addict and go here as close to the 9 a.m. opening time as you can. The shelves will be stocked and you won't have to fight through the crowds. And definitely try the Joe Joe's, and the candied ginger, and the Sweet, Savory & Tart trek mix and the 99% fat free bean & rice burritos and the natural peanut butter and the soy chorizo...you get the picture! read more

This is the normal Trader Joe's I visit here in Indy. It is usually well stocked. You can find the standard items expected of a Trader Joes. The expansion odds the store's size was a welcome edition. I'm not a fan of the tap water here in Indy so one of my favorite things to purchase here is the New Zealand spring water in the large containers. More items that are frequently on my hit list are the dark chocolate honey mint patties, the Applegate organic hot dogs (they're a great price here) and most of their cheeses. I loooove cheese. I love it here! I get some gluten free products and literally pay half the price I would at Whole Foods. This particular location does a great job of having staff on hand to answer questions, their shelves are almost always stocked and they will even let you try samples of products if you haven't had something before. Not to mention their beautiful flowers for around $4-$5 dollars a dozen sometimes and their amazing wine selection. Love it! read more

I hadn't been to this location in quite a while -- I was hesitant about going on a Saturday because it's usually so crowded. Wow! The store is about twice as big as it used to be! It is airy and spacious and well laid out. I didn't have a huge list but it was a lot of random items. I found everything I was looking for, with the exception of ground pork. Love TJ's. read more

This is by far my favorite grocery store in Indianapolis. I love all the international flavors and seasonal products. Prices are great too!

Love trader joes. Every time I come here the staff are helpful and friendly. Every single one. My kids Like it too. It's small enough that it doesn't feel like the trip will last forever and finding the monkey is a favorite. They are always bringing in new fun stuff. Went to Trader Joe's in Indy. I was cool, a lot then I expected. A little pricey, but no where near a Whole Foods store. My friend bought me a cool shopping bag. For a tiny grocery compared to todays standard grocery stores, this place does have a good selection overall and good prices overall. I thought the seafood was lacking. I was also not happy the sample station was set up but not handing out anything for at least a 17 minute stretch. Not a 5 star because I enjoy having a fresh meat / fresh bakery section. The whole foods further east is still better IMO with far more selection and a ready to eat section. read more

I love Trader Joe's. I usually head to the one on 82nd street since its right off of 465E and I drive from Greenwood. This was the first time that I have been to this location. I can say that I like this location better. It seems bigger and more organized. I love the cheese wall and flowers. I love the prices and finding new items to love. I will definitely be back to this location soon. read more

I like the eclectic offerings that you can't find anywhere else. Overall it is an excellent store. I've seen where their stores on the East Coast are offering more vegan products. I wish this store would introduce more of these new product lines since I would like people to get off of meat. That may be wishful thinking on my part. The Vegan Zombie is always reviewing new products but not all of them are in Indiana yet. I highly recommend the Italian Blood Orange Soda and numerous other rarities. read more

I always like Tader Joe's. Some of its products do not have as high quality as Whole Food's, but hey, you can't ask for both low low price and top quality at the same time. Shopping in Trader Joe's is a different experience from in Fresh Thyme as well. The latter is maybe a bit more blue collar and mid-western, but people working and shopping at Trader Joe's are more "cool". Overall, I love this store, and hope there are more soon in Indy, esp in the south side. read more

Trader Joe's! I love stumbling across this store when I'm in the States because they don't have any stores in Canada (might be time to think about an expansion, hint hint). I obviously didn't do a full shop here because I was just visiting the area, but I got a salad from their prepared foods section and it was delicious. I used to like you Joe. What happened? Now you sell yourself like a cheap street prostitute by advertising your "No GMOs" sign at the front door. Be careful Joe. Otherwise you'll end up with a syphilitic brain like your cousin, Whole Foods, who sells homeopathic "remedies" to coughing old ladies who don't know any better. If you're going to go down that path, Joe, might as well start selling cigarettes to kids. It's profitable and equally morally perverse. I understand that some of your customers buy organics Joe and that, as a result, you may think they're hopelessly deluded. I tend to agree Joe but that doesn't necessarily mean they're stupid, just grossly and willfully uninformed. I sometimes too end up with organic foods in my cart. But that's either because I've misread the label or my wife has pulled a "fast one" on me. Look, I agree it isn't your job to educate your customers Joe. Your goal is to make profit and they can make their own choices. But, at the very least, take that embarrassing sign down from your front door before someone with a brain gets offended. Even the Ferengi wouldn't put up a sign as bold as yours for profit. You're no lot lizard Joe. Have some self respect and get off your knees. read more

Trader Joe's in and of itself is a fabulous grocery store. This Trader Joe's is my favorite because the staff makes me (and my toddler) feel like we are family. As one reviewer wrote, the parking lot is not the best, but if you learn what works best for you- park further from the door, pull through, back in...
