They're always super friendly and nice here. I have never had a bad experience. Employees will make conversation and are super personable, and will often have recommendations or are able to answer questions about their products. Their prices are absolutely phenomenal. I am a vegetarian, and I am quite poor. I honestly don't know what I'd do without Trader Joes. They have a lot of affordable vegetarian options, and they're always rotating stock so there's often something new to try. I find this one to be much easier to navigate than the one in Orland, and even when it is crowded, the crowd seems less dense inside the store. I'm not sure if it's bigger or if the layout is just more conducive to crowd dispersion. read more

Like all Trader Joe's ~ this one was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Also, be very careful in their parking lot ~ very dangerous. Most people are driving way too fast and will not give you a break when you are trying to back out of a parking space. Now, the store is bright and clean, staff is very friendly. Layout is specific to a location so it helps if you know what similar products are stocked with whatever you are looking for. They have already sold out of some of their pumpkin products. I worked for TJ's for a while. I appreciated Justin the Manager and the job. I was not great at it. It was more involved than one would think. There stores are cool. My Mom started shopping with them early on. Their frozen meals are good for when you're in a bind. I like the bean and cheese burritos & the chicken. The snacks, bakery, and cookies are good as well. I shop at the La Grange store on a regular basis. read more

I come here at least once a week. There is a nice selection of products and the staff is wonderful. The store is kept clean but I prefer to come in the morning before it gets too busy. The parking lot has a weird design, but you can always find a spot. I come here for snacks and fruit. read more

Still the best Suburban TJ with the best customer service and always fully stocked. At this location, you are always welcomed with a smile and during this Corvid, all carts handles are wiped. They do limit the patrons but I appreciate that for their safety and ours. I do live in the city but during this corvid, I would wait in a 20 min line outside and the supplies I get is not always there, here always stocked. Parking is in a shared lot but always a spot to park. I would recommend TJ to everyone and it is worth the travel if you are in the city to come here. read more

Years ago, I frequently ventured to Chicago's north side and suburbs and always shopped at various Trader Joe's. This one has always been one of my favorites. For one thing, there is a very decent parking lot.  Although visiting Oak Park, I would drive out of my way to shop at this LaGrange store because the parking situation at the Oak Park store was so very frustrating.  I also always found the staff at this store to be friendlier. On my visit 1/17/22, the store looked great and was well stocked. The prices for the items that I purchased were reasonable considering the higher food prices in our current economy.   I really enjoy shopping in this Trader Joe's Produce section.  One of the items that I always look forward to purchasing is TJ's "Healthy 8 Chopped Veggie Mix".  I also like their selection in the Nuts/Dried Fruits section.  I really like their "Uncrystallized Candied Ginger".  I haven't been able to find uncrystsllized ginger anywhere else. Another purchase was "Sweet and Spicy Pecans".  Tried them for the first time and are they ever good!  "YUMMERS" as My Yelp Friend, Bill M would say!  The check-out was a breeze.  The young man bagging (everyone is young to me these days! : ) did a great job!  I asked him not to make the bags too heavy and he actually accommodated me!  Many TJ's would always overstuff the bags and put all the heavy items in the same bag--even after I would ask them not to!  This guy made my day by bagging my items so nicely.  Oh, and the cashier was very nice also. Trader Joe's is a literal breath of fresh air, I say this because there are so many big box stores on every street, it's nice to see a smaller store with associates willing to help you in every aisle. Every time I visit trader Joes their seems to be someone, somewhere to assist me, even without me having to ask! Seriously! No kidding! You would expect them to be expensive like Whole Foods but they aren't, I purchased 2 cucumbers, 4 limes, 2 packs of dried soft & juicy mangos (YUM), a pack of ginger and 1 beer (not for me), all of that for a little over $11.00. I'm officially hooked, now they won't be able to get rid of me ;D I love this store so much and I have told family and friends about it. I promise you the only complaint I have about this particular store is its cold inside but that's not a big deal, you can just grab your favorite jacket before you go in. Leave a jacket in your car, oh and also take some reusable shopping bags if you can. If you've never been to Trader Joes, definitely check them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

I L O V E this Trader Joe's location! I go here once (sometimes twice) a week for groceries, and I have been doing so for years. The employees are AMAZING. They seem to genuinely enjoy working there, and they're always incredibly friendly. I always look forward to checkout because it means I get to have a friendly exchange with an employee. We never leave here in a bad mood. I have many examples of times employees have gone out of their way for me, but my favorite is the time two employees gave us flowers after I mentioned we were getting married soon. What an incredibly sweet gesture from our grocery store! Very thoughtful. The produce is usually just fine, but the occasional time when there has been an issue with produce going bad before the expiration, they ALWAYS reimburse us for it. One time I forgot the receipt at home and just mentioned an issue with an item I got the previous week. The employee said "no problem" and took the cost of that item off my present grocery balance. One time I tried a vegan cheese and didn't like it, and they allowed me to return that, too! Of course, I rarely have issues. I have so many favorite foods I enjoy buying every week or every once in a while. Trader Joe's is affordable, the store is organized in a way that makes sense, and the service is top notch. read more

Updated from initial review: Although the prices here are still decent enough, the service quality is not what it used to be. The last couple of times I went here, the attitude of the workers ranged from not even speaking to me to being downright snarky/sarcastic when I asked a polite question. Doesn't help that the parking situation over here seems to constantly be a packed nightmare, either. My visit earlier today is likely going to be my last. Disappointing. read more

After chatting with my cousin in England, I had an insane craving for crumpets. I did a little research and discovered that Trader Joe's sells crumpets! Crickey! Who knew? I guess I missed the hype during the most recent Royal Wedding. Trader Joe's even has cinnamon flavored crumpets! So I perused through a few Yelp reviews and took in other recommendations for my shopping trip, including the Kerry Gold butter to go along with my precious crumpets. I walked out with all sorts of goodies...some healthy, some not-so-much. This was my first time going to a Trader Joe's and it will definitely not be my last. Parking was a breeze, shopping was an adventure, prices were right on, and the service was outstanding. At the checkout counter, Emily gave me a few extra ideas on what I might like on my next trip. Nicest people ever! Super clean place. There is a difference in location and this location is epic!

Great crew! Every time I go in I am greeted. I enjoy their flower display and vegan options that are at this location.

Trader Joe's has got the COVID system down. Everyone is wearing masks, they have their checkout lines properly spaced. They are completely stocked with everything as of today anyway and all the employees are super nice and helpful as well. Highlight of the trader joe's is that they're pulling in more Ube products like the ice cream and now the pancake/waffle mix... who wouldn't want a pile of ube pancakes doused in maple syrup and butter!! I feed very safe shopping here and that is a great feeling. I love this location, every crew member is friendly, and there's always parking! Whoever does the artwork is amazing and creative, and I love the new items section. It's open until 9 on weekends, which allows us to grocery shop at night too! I'm not a fan of the veggies since they go bad fast, but I guess that means they don't use as much chemicals :) I wish they would pack some of the veggies more often though, so I wouldn't have to get something that was packed a couple days before. read more

Tonight I tried to buy something with a SNAP card, just one item. The cashier sarcastically said, "Hey, big spender." I reminded him that it was a SNAP card (food stamps) and if I had the money (and a home) I'd be buying shopping cart full of food. Then, he said my card had a balance of $0. I left. Called Link who assured me there was enough money on the card. I returned and had to straighten it out wit the store manager to prove there was enough money on the card (as they were closing). This cashier almost cost me my meal for the evening and needs to be re-trained as it relates to dealing with customers from all economic backgrounds. read more

The Trader Joe in La grange Illinois Used to have friendly employees. The last couple times I visited there people that worked on the floor not one of them said Hello, none of them asked me if I needed any help. I had to wait for employees that were looking at stock and possibly reordering ,I don't know to move so I could get what I needed . They did not even acknowledge me. Not sure why but they haven't had many of the things I wanted when I come in. And their bathrooms are gross. read more

Yeah, yeah. We get it. Everyone love Trader Joe's. It's a chain store that makes stuff seem local even when that may be far from the truth- but more important to my lifestyle is that it's affordable while at the same time makes living off non-restaurant-made-food possible, as I'm a not-at-all-gifted-in-the-kitchen kinda girl. This Trader Joe's location... uhm, don't skin me alive buuut, I just don't think it's as good as others I've been to. The diagonal placement of the aisles is a bit more pronounced here and it makes it seem a lot smaller than the TJs I'm used to. It's like a Trader Joe's Express in my mind, only the lines don't move express-style and there's not much room for lines to form either, and when they do, they block off the goods in the last aisle so you can't shop the health bars and/or get in and/or out of the booze section. I think that while the employees here are still about 10 times friendlier than the average human, the other locations I've been to have always been more personable as far as their staff go. I also feel like the aisles here are a bit more cramped, making it really hard to maneuver when everybody's got carts and trying to check out both sides of the freezer aisle at one. I like to come here before catching a flick at the art theater up the street, stock up on snacks and then hit the road, and while they do carry the same stuff as any other TJ, this location is a little too stressful for me to add it to the menagerie of grocers that I shop at on the regular. read more

I still love Trader Joe's. Yes, it's still filled with botoxed soccer moms and their "darling" offspring blocking the aisles with their SUV type strollers, but the prices are so great and the employees always seem to be in a good mood. I was bummed about the selection of flowers available on the afternoon of Mother's Day en route home to surprise my momma bear. The bunch left were still in bud form and would open up apparently and have more life to them then those already bloomed. They look awfully unpleasant when first purchased but at that point I was out of choices so I rolled with it. Almost a week out now, look who's flowers look brand spankin' new and full of life - this girl's! Momma bear was happy and enjoys looking at the flowers. Having had my fair share of experience with flower delivery, I know they never last this long. TJ's for the win! read more

As always at TJ's they offer top quality products at most reasonable prices. The staff add the extra elements of great attitude, product knowledge, and fun. Their plan in place for pandemic operations is best of any grocery/retail stores I have seen. Masks required, limited total shoppers in store, staff disinfect carts, social distancing reminders, managed check out queue, cashier protection, all excellent. All TJ's, in my opinion, are stellar equally in service, layout and product quality. This place is no exception. Employees here are so friendly and willing to help with anything you need, attentive and always seem to be nearby. Items are always stocked, produce and meats and bakery and cheese are always fresh. I'm a trader joes lover! I've been shopping at TJ's for years. I remember the first time I was 15 in the DMV area with my older sister and I fell in love! Anywho, this particular location is small, but they have all the TJ's offerings. I rotate between La Grange, Oak Park & Park Ridge. Oak Park employees are the friendliest out of the three. My favorites are: Meatless meatballs Soyrizo Masala veggie burgers Shrimp spring rolls Cookie butter!!!! Sauerkraut (absolutely scrumptious and full of probiotics) Harissa sardines. Blueberry iced tea Wasabi seaweed Liquid stevia *non food item* the enrich facial moisturizing lotion with spf for $3.99!! Love this stuff! I also like the frozen lunches for $1.99. They have a few different ones. I've tried them all and they've all been really good. The tomato veggie one is probably my favorite. I mentally think they're healthier than other brands, but I've never actually read the labels . I buy other stuff but those are the items I repeatedly buy bc they're absolutely delicious and specific to trader joes. Idk what I'd do without this store. Not the hugest fan of the Trader Joe fad. I think it's kinda bs. I respect what they do with the pretty store and layout, design, etc it's very enticing and makes you "feel good" about yourself and your life and your choices. blah blah blah Didn't have much respect for TJ until we went today with a gift card (cuz you know everything is unnecessarily overpriced here), and we bought a lot of sweets. Yum. Cookies, cakes, chocolate, etc. Damn, those are freaking good! I mean they have more sugar and calories than what you would get at a normal supermarket (it's true, I looked) but it tastes super good. Friendly staff. Overall not sold on the brand, but will definitely enjoy spending the rest of the gift card. :) read more

What really draws me to TJ's is their awesome staff and great products. They have an expansive selection of vegetarian and vegan products, which really comes in handy for my husband and I. Their organic produce and potatoes are definitely reasonable. Case in point, under $5 for three pounds of good for your skin organic sweet potatoes. Blows away places like Whole Foods. Our current fave is their black bean and corn enchiladas for $2.29. A quick frozen vegan meal that is both nutritious and cheap works well for me! I just read the review from March 18th - the week when COVID-19 caused people to swamp stores and many to buy everything in site. TJs was destroyed. I am astonished that anyone would complain about stock or employees having answers. And really? You found bread?! Wow! This has been my Trader Joe's store for more than 10 years. It is ALWAYS stocked! The employees are incredibly kind and go out of their way to look for items- I witness it all the time. And right now they are exhausted, overwhelmed and doing their jobs under very trying circumstances. I was in there that week and the shelves were bare. The next week, while many items were still not in stock (they ordered, but stuff wasn't available), the store looked amazing.
