Expand or move to a new much more spacious location. It's the size of a Wawa but gets traffic like a Walmart.

They've expanded their hours in June 2025 to 9-9 daily. I don't know what they were before. I think it was like this pre-pandemic. I got a lot of unique tasty items for reasonable prices for a friend who doesn't live near a Trader Joe's. The root beer float with pop rocks candy snack special, the classic sour cream and onion puffs, classic expresso bean candies (2 packs) , tangerine juice (which he didn't like so all went to me lol), and all the Cara Cara went to me as well. He also got a sea breeze soap dispenser as did I for myself. Staff is friendly and helpful and store is well organized and kept up-to-date. Tax is cheaper here than Philly slightly and delco still allows shopping bags at no extra charge for now- yay! read more

My daughter and I love Trader Joe's and all their unique products. The one in Media is small, but the last time we were there, our lovely cashier Dian asked us if we found everything we were looking for. I asked her about the root beer float cookies I had read about in the mailer, and she pointed to where they were. They sounded delicious, but I was hesitant to buy a whole bag. When I talked about trying them, she went over and opened a bag for us to try. It was so kind of her. We love the vibe in Trader Joe's and all their interesting products! read more

Love this well stocked small store and its friendliness. In a smaller space, they have what I need. I'm a fan.

It's occurred to me that I've been shopping at this particular Trader Joe's since they opened, I'm guessing 15 years ago. And I must be so used to the place that I always forget to "check in". I have easily been here over 100 times and I have never been disappointed. Yes it's one of the smaller Trader Joe's and It is often hard to get down the aisles but I just love the simplicity of this location. I love their frozen vegetables and frozen entrées. Absolutely adore the coffee bean section where I can grind my own coffee. I enjoy the times that they have samples set up in the back. The greeting card section where you can purchase beautiful cards for $.99 is a section that always brings a smile to my face. The checkers are always happy and smiling. They get you through the line as quickly as they can. read more

This TJ's is TTIIIIIIGGGHHHT in space and the parking lot situation is a mess, but I will say that what this location lacks in space, it does make up for in overall organization-- probably the most organized and well stocked location that I've been to within the area. Parking situation is spread across two adjacent lots and *at first glance* makes it seem like you're going to have to paying for parking while you do your grocery shopping... but that's not the case. Apparently the first hour of actively shopping is free, so I guess let's hope the lines aren't long and you don't go over that allotted hour of time. A smaller or more compact Joe's but they have all the essentials. Unlike others there's I've been to there's minimal parking so there's time limits to your shopping....thank goodness it's compact. It's always been well stocked and the service friendly. read more

What a lovely store. In the heart of media, tucked in the middle of State St, and surrounded by a ton of great restaurants and local shops. The VA clubhouse is right next door. Trader Joe's has an upbeat vibe and is very eco friendly. Their organic bananas are .29 for one. which we thought was the real deal. Their fruits and veggies are so fresh and stocked daily. We love their nut section, they always have a variety of premium options such as, the roasted almonds, salted or unsalted sunflower seeds, cranberries and cashews trex or trail mix. Their coffee selection is grown organically. You can buy a bag for less than $6.00, that is organic, bold, rich, and dark roast. They have a lot of different flavors and options. Don't forget to add some fresh herbs to your diet and some other things that will help keep you healthy. Lastly, we recommend that you stop and smell the fresh cut flowers and add a bunch to your basket! Customer service is always top notch especially when it comes to friendliness. This location of Trader Joe's is small, compact but houses most of my all time favorites. Amazing employees and they also have tasting corner with coffee like other Trader Joe's. The employees are friendly and helpful and pack your items in your bag the way you want it. I would really love it if they included the alcohol or wine selection in future at this location. read more

[439] 3 1/2 stars I love Trader Joes and this one is no exception. The staff is friendly and there are a ton of items to choose from that are healthier options for your family. Since this is in the middle of busy Media it's nice to have off-street free parking. It's a smaller TJ's then the one in Philly so it can be crowded at times and parking can be tough. I try to come early in the morning so I can walk around without saying excuse me a bunch. I'll definitely be back over and over again :) read more

Why didn't I take a picture?! This Trader Joe's is housed in an old armory -- that's what our cashier told me -- which is why we walked in. Interesting exterior, small and condensed interior. (I'm used to the spacious Trader Joes in the GA suburbs.) Come in, find the basics and pay the same as you would at Trader Joe's in NYC or anywhere. One of the appealing aspects of this chain! Plus the service-with-a-smile employees that Trader Joes continually attracts. read more

I'm not an expert in shopping in NYC but I certainly learned a bit shopping here. We came in on a Thursday evening and the place was close to a madhouse. There were plenty of motivated, polite shoppers trying to move around and get their items but it was basically a complete cluster... We managed to get our items and then found the line actually snaked around the store until we found the end. After waiting for like 30 minutes or so, I commented that it seemed busy to the cashier. She laughed a bit and said, "Try coming in on a weekend. This is nothing." Eek. I think it's official. There are just too many people in Manhattan. If I move here, I'm going to use a grocery delivery service. read more

Good evening to my Yelp Family!!! I visit Trader Joe's to purchase one item, the Breakfast Trek Mix. It comes in a large plastic bag with 10 individually wrapped trail mixes. They taste great!! I learned about this item when I worked for Main Line Security and I was working in the Northeast Shopping Center near Grant Avenue. Dollar Tree is there along with other stores. Also it is a steal, it is only $4.99. The problem is that I do not come here often. I should and I am going to try harder. It is a brand new year, 2020 and a brand new century. I'll give it four grudgingly... I love Trader Joe's, what it stands for, their business model, and their selections. This one needs a little management work. Went there to get ingredients to make a Labor Day barbecue for my partner's family. We had talked the day before about Trader Joe's famous bison meat, and I wanted to get a couple of pounds. Well.... not so fast. They discontinued bison meat. AT TRADER JOEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!! I almost got shpilkis in my genechtagazoink. Then I wanted to get some of the same hors d'oeuvres I get in DC... Not that either. I settled for a more or less proletarian choice of hamburger meats and some of the other accoutrements... I love Trader Joe's. As someone with a special diet (don't eat dairy, try not to eat meat), this place always has great products I can eat, and interesting products I want to try- cheeseless pizza, soy flaxseed chips, soy chorizo, dairy-free chocolate, etc. The bill is always significantly lower than Whole Foods, and the food is always more fun. This location gets minus a star because it's basically like a war zone. The parking lot fills up quickly, and the inside is so packed that by the time I leave, I feel a combination of irritated and claustrophobia. But, it's the closest TJ's to me, so I suck it up anyway :-). read more

So I hate zucchini, yuck! It is gross and nasty and I never want to eat it! I know thats random, but its not really. Walking into the back of Trader Joe's I decided to try the sandwich the worker was making for samples. It was a grilled cheese with something grilled inside of it. I ate it, I loved it and I wanted to know what it was. You guessed it, it was zucchini! This place had me eating zucchini and I loved it! On top of that they had the best nuts I have ever had and the best food. Everything they have here is fresh and fantastic and I want one back home in Houston. The staff here is friendly and wonderful - and although I can't do 100% of my "regular" grocery shopping here, I do come by a few times each month for "fun foods" and frozen treats. They have some great lunch options, too, like salads, pomegranate arils and meats in the refrigerated case. Unique products and tasty foods that are quick to prepare. I'm usually head over heels for any chance to spend time in a TJ's, so this 3-star review is saying something. To start, perhaps in non-COVID times, the small size of this TJ's would work better. While there is not a one-way flow of traffic per se, I found myself having trouble navigating the store and moving between the aisles. There were also far fewer end caps with holiday-specific items than one might be accustomed to at a larger TJs. Typically I would leave with several more items than I set out to purchase, but I didn't have any impulse purchases this day. A rare feat that mostly speaks to the pace of my movement throughout the store and the lack of engaging items prominently placed throughout. The workers were out in the aisles stocking the shelves as we shopped as best as they could, but several items I wanted were still out of stock. I got what I came to shop for during this shopping trip, but it wasn't my typical TJ's shopping experience that fills me with joy. read more

But honestly, in being fair, I can't compare it to the downtown Brooklyn location (which is the only other location I have been to) or anything in nyc for that matter. Guess I'll try the Chestnut st. location when I'm in the mood to deal with parking. Oh, parking sucks at this location too!! It's small metered parking so go after 5 (I think that's when they stop). Just learned from Media Staff that TJ's discontinued my favorite 'Arugula Pizza' due to Supply Chain Issues. While this doesn't make sense to me (other pizzas are plentiful in-supply), I'm reporting what I was told. Having recently relocated to Media from LA , the staff here are helpful, however this store is the worst TJ shopping experience I've encountered due to store popularity, limited size, and long-lines which deter shopping the freezer-aisle. If I were in charge, I'd close the store for a week and have a logistics expert come-in to re-assess / reconfigure space to better accommodate both customers and staff. read more

Overall the Trader Joe's in Media, Pa. is nice. My problem was they didn't stock a lot of the popular items that I enjoy. Weird the associate said they ran out.....okkkk. BUT what made me write a review was how my items was bagged. The cashier wasn't all that friendly, and I believe purposely bagged my soap and other non-food items with my breads and other foods. Idiot. I wish I wasn't paying attention to my daughter who was telling me a story and watched her more. I was furious when I got home that my bread would taste like peppermint soap. Let me make it clear. Trader Joes is still my number one store to go to. Here's why I am disappointed in some things, For now, I just bought the Turkey with stuffing they had last year. Well...It's not as good this year. I think they changed the supplier as the package is totally different. The salt content is higher. And I must say the turkey doesn't seem as good and there seems to be less of it in the combination. My problem is when I find things I like they often disappear . They had some frozen mango covered in Chocolate...gone. There are a huge list that this applies to. Was a Pear Champagne salad dressing that I used as a marinade . Gone. ....Mango popsicles gone....I could go on and on. I will still go to Trader Joe's as it is the best option for me, but as you can see I wish they got a handle on things. I absolutely love this store. The fruit & veggies are always fresh. There's a good variety of other food items as well. They seem to have products that you don't normally find in a regular supermarket. This spot is always clean & tidy even though it's not a large food market. The prices aren't bad either. Even when their busy, the staff is very helpful. They never run out of carts either. Lol. I also like the fact that they have food that you can sample as well during certain times off tHe day. TJ's is the perfect balance between the value of Acme and the organic-grass-fed-flaxseed-ness of Whole Foods. Best items: Cashew macadamia nut butter, net bags of avocados, grass-fed beef, chocolate-covered dried fruits and peppermints, huge selection of nuts and raisins and dates and prunes..... They reward you for using your own reusable bags with a raffle ticket for a grocery prize. The staff is fantastic! They always help you find things, and once, on my birthday, the cashier made me a Balloon Animal! It was my twenty-seventh birthday, but hey, I was thrilled. Plus he had a very dry sense of humor. When he was twisting the balloon animal, I realized what it was and yelled out excitedly "It's a dog!" To which he responded, "No, it's a balloon." read more

(I sent this letter to Trader Joe's rep, Jim Poppe, a year ago but Trader Joe's did nothing): In late March I contacted Trader Joe's in Media, PA about an ongoing problem that had frustrated & discouraged my husband & me for years; the lack of an express or "bag-your-own". I was very surprised to get a reply stating that such lanes would be opened shortly. Happy with that news, I visited the Media store again to see the progress. Because I had more than 30 items, I was ineligible for the express lane for 15 or fewer, but it was nice to see it was there. As sense would dictate, I headed to the shortest line & waited, patiently anticipating a better experience with the Media store. As I waited longer & longer, I overheard the woman ahead of me telling the cashier, Justin, that she had a $200 limit & needed to keep track of her total b/c she might have to put some things back. I realized it was going to take a while so I looked over to the other lanes to see if I any looked shorter; no. By the time the 11th shopper left while I was waiting, it was clear to me that Justin, & the managers who hadn't bothered to do anything about the bell, really didn't care how long I stood there. Finally there was a lull in the line next to me. So with no one waiting in my line or the one next to me, I pushed my carry-basket on the floor between the two checkout counters hoping I could go with whomever could process me first. I stood there another minute or so waiting for one of the transactions to complete. Suddenly two elderly men, one with a shopping cart that was 90% empty, the other with a basket, came up behind me. In an impatient & abrasive voice, one demanded, "What line are you in?" I turned around to explain I had been waiting a long while, & was simply trying to take the next checker available so I could finally process my order. Silly me, I thought these individuals were human beings who would show some empathy or consideration. But my predicament--or even my existence--was just not convenient for these men. They were incapable of understanding where another person is coming from, or furnishing the morality of doing what is right & fair. The second man said "Well I don't care what you are doing. I am going here," & he forced himself forward. The first man echoed him, & said "Me too," & they both hovered around me to bully themselves into the line that looked like it would be open faster, where the checker had just finished & was processing payment. The first man physically PUSHED me with his shopping cart to barge in front of me to the checkout. Yes, he PUSHED me with his cart. I am a young woman, & this grown man was resorting to physical offense in order to get his way. This was physical, & that is assault as far as the law is concerned. It was absolutely mind boggling that a human being would do this to any other human being, much less a man treat a woman that way--a woman who could be his grandchild! I have never in my life experienced something so belligerent or inappropriate from a perfect stranger. There I am being bullied by two geriatric thugs who haven't the moral enlightenment to even be ashamed of their behavior. Meanwhile, witnessing all this, Justin, from the line where I was first waiting, decides to butt in & says, "There need to be two lines here. So don't cause more problems & just sort it out among yourselves." This comment was decidedly a snarky quip at me, b/c once he said that, the two men made triumphant grunts & pushed me again to get closer to the counter! I was beside myself with disbelief at how people can behave like that, all of them. What was Justin's comment supposed to do to help? I was being bullied to the point of someone physically pushing me with a shopping cart, & instead of doing something to reconcile the abusive behavior, Justin was reinforcing the harassment. I was assaulted and harassed at this store and when I called the manager from my cell on the way home he did absolutely NOTHING. He didn't even want to know the name of the checker who aided and abetted the assault by old men. Then I wrote all this in a letter to Jim Poppe, the rep for TJ's corporate, who again did nothing. This company tries to posture the image of being free-thinking, liberal, and "happy", but no one who works for the company has shown me any such ideals; my experience is folks who have no concept of how to get along in the world with moral or humane decency, which may be why they got stuck as grocery store workers in the first place. If the cashier's life did not work out as planned, does it give him the right to take it out on the unfortunate souls who have the misfortune of shopping at Trader Joe's? Thanks for the ASSAULT by your customers on your premises, AND for the verbal harassment from your employee Justin (I still have receipt as proof of visit), and thanks for being such good honest souls as to to do absolutely NOTHING about it. read more

When Trader Joe's first opened, I was excited. It's a bit more expensive than Pathmark (where I normally shopped at the time) but the quality isn't right up there with meccas like Whole Foods or Wegmans. It fills a necessary void, IMO. You get the high end bodega stuff to supplement your regular shopping without having to spend like crazy. The sushi stinks, the sandwiches are good, the veggies are good, and the frozer foods generally rock. They also have a lot of sauces and stuff that I love. read more

Alright, so I made a list called "Beyond Trader Joe's." But Trader Joe's isn't so bad, and this one is particularly cute. I wouldn't buy my produce here, but there's a lot of other fun stuff, such as: - Super absorbent kitchen cloths to replace paper towels - Lavender sachets for the dryer to replace dryer sheets - Healthier versions of the standard mac-and-cheese-in-a-box, brownies-from-a-mix, etc. - Cocoa powdered dark chocolate covered almonds. I don't think these will help save the environment in any way, but they are really tasty! Plus I like their grocery-drawing mentioned by another reviewer (bring your own reusable bags!) and the building the store is housed in is pretty cool too. read more

Does anyone remember that one place as a child you would go to over and over, no matter how dumb you looked. To the point where the store managers know you on a nickname basis, and would feel bad because you're so pathetic that even if you shit in the middle of store they'd just clean it up and not say a word? Child me go meet adult me... The lines are quick, the place is intimate, selection of produce is screamingly fresh, great Trader Joe products without any of the bad Trader Joe products(you know what I mean), and great staff that you can tell love(or at least good at faking it) their jobs. Parking sucks, but I blame that on the Iron Hill next door. Comon people its beer, and no matter how much you drink you still won't go home with the hot girl at the bar! But I try to make ever excuse I possibly can to come here. If I'm jogging through Media and realize I need fruits. If I'm driving by, and I decide I need milk. I walk by and noticed I need gum. I get off the airport and realized I just need to stand in the middle of the store and feel at home. Trader Joe's has changed my shopping totally! When I moved to media I shopped at Acme and Giant thinking Trader Joe's was too expensive. Boy was I wrong! I pay less at TJ's! Shopping at Trader Joe's is great because they don't sell brands like Oreo, Doritios, turkey hill, etc. So I'm less likely to buy the stuff that's not good for me! They do sell these products but they are Trader Joe's brand and you have to do some looking to find. Big box stores have so many isles and products! Trader Joe's is great because there are 3 isles with just the right amount of product. Speaking of products I love their bbq sauces! They have so many of them and seasonally rotate them! My favorite is their apple bourbon. One of their newest spices "everything but the bagel" is an awesome addition to your eggs for breakfast!
