I was just at the Brookhaven Giant .. mind you the weather report is heavy snow overnight. The store was pretty crowded but I only stopped in for one item. ( not milk or bread lol). What I needed was not in stock . A young man ( KEN)who was working very hard in the freezer section stopped what he was doing and said " Let me look in the back ". He managed to find what I needed and saved me from having to go to other stores. I told his manager (Tim ) that I was very impressed with his work ethic. Great job read more

Good afternoon, what a beautiful day it was today, and we spent the morning at one of our favorite food stores comparing prices, quality, and quantity. Some of the prices were higher than expected but the quality of the products are much better. Overall, they have improved significantly since we started using them. For instance, the dog food has increased in value over the past decade because of customer demand for natural ingredients and higher quality of products. Giant has a decent selection of organic dog foods that are comparative with other stores in the area. In addition, we found a variety of organic and vegan foods throughout the store starting with baby and continuing through adulthood. Our favorite section is produce; any kind of fresh fruits and veggies, we love, especially the fresh baby spinach, the organic asparagus, the fresh cut herbs and spices that were priced just right for our budget. The grapes looked amazing and are priced at $1.27 per pound. Peelz's mandarines are on sale for $1.77 for a 2lb bag. This Friday a 3 day sale begins with General Mills cereal marked at $1.88 a box. Buy one get one free 26-30 count bag of shrimp, buy one get one bacon or bone in pork chops, 3 /$6. 6-8 oz pkg of Kraft cheese, and $4.99 Our brand American Cheese. The Valentine's Day gifts will be gone soon so please don't forget to get your shopping done today. The salad bar and prepared sushi looks fresh . On a different note; Giant is hiring for all positions and all shifts. They will be having a hiring event within the next few days. If you have an electric car , don't worry chargers are available to you while you shop. Across the street is the fueling station. Prices start at $3.19 a gallon. Lastly, bring your clothing donations and contribute towards the needs of others. Donation bins are located at the front entrance, both sides. Kind of a(nother) strange experience(in my twilight zone life)...bathroom door was broken, then was in the middle of talking to an employee regarding the whereabouts of certain products when a blonde girl who works there just crashes our conversation and absconds with the employee. I'm like 'hello we were discussing something'. This wasn't the standard inane small talk most employees have, it was an actual in depth question, I guess that has no place in a retail environment. Anyway then I was going through another aisle and asked another employee something basic and they stared at me like a deer in the headlights...I should do a game show where I go into stores and ask employees basic questions just to see if they know the basics or are just taking up space^ read more

My experience at this location lately has been less than ideal. I have ordered from Giant Direct for pickup multiple times. MANY of those times I arrived home to find items that I was charged for were missing, including my Thanksgiving turkey in November. Calls and emails for support go unresolved. Upon my most recent experience, I called to report the issue and have the missing items removed from my charge and I was told by a manager that they do not issue "refunds" for items not received. Charging me for items I did not receive is what we call theft. read more

I don't know what their deal is with skim milk but it goes bad quickly. I drink skim and my wife drinks 2%. I'm lucky if mine last a week. Almost always bad before the expiration date. One time I opened and went to drink it and it tasted like cleaning chemicals. Skim/0% milk is a waste of money unless you can drink a gallon in 2 days(no matter the expiration date) and it doesn't taste chemically questionable read more

This Giant is en route to other places we run errands in the area, and I am grateful that it is because they carry a line of soy-free/dairy-free products that not all Giants (or supermarkets in general) carry. Great to be able to get some each time we're nearby. This is a relatively newer and bigger Giant location, and has always had the most helpful and polite staff. Angelica in Cust Svc is super-nice and super-professional. Recommended among Giants as one of the nicer ones. read more

This store disappoints in so many ways. Supply chain is horrible and shelves are usually understocked even for standard items. However, my biggest complaint is the deli. Not only is it understaffed, but the employees are so rude, have absolutely no personality, and have no urgency when taking your order. You're lucky if your order is completed in 20 minutes or less. They rarely smile or engage with you beyond calling your number, and God forbid you request a specific slice thickness. They just do what is convenient for them not what you as the customer requests. Would be nice if management addressed this area, as it leaves a lot to be desired! read more

Completely under-staffed and wait times is terrible. Employees are rude, and the women in the deli department are always miserable and inattentive. And as someone previously mentioned, their donuts are indeed pretty good. But if you don't want your grocery shopping trip to be a 3+ hour excursion, go elsewhere. read more

Most of the time I do my shopping at Target but once in a while, that doesn't suffice and I usually end up at this Giant when I want to go to a "real" grocery store. It's just always so packed and I always spend so much more than when I go to Target... I don't mind going here once in a while when I need something I can't get at Target, and I'm always intrigued by all the cool stuff that they offer, but I always end up getting a little frazzled with having to dodge all the people and annoyed when I see how much I've spent at the register. Overall though, it's just another grocery store like all the others and I do like it better than the Acme. read more

I'm not of the hit-every-grocery-store-for-all-of-the-deals-in-every-circular like my grandparents are. I like my local store to have good deals but more importantly AWESOME DONUTS. I've been slow carb dieting for the past four months and with the diet comes two "relaxed" eating days a week (aka white carbs.) On my very first cheat day, I breezed through the Bakery section and came across a glazed donut filled with CAKE ICING. GASP! It. IS. AMAZING. Take heed- if you don't get there early enough on the weekends, they sell out of those particular donuts. Otherwise, the store is good- there are decent G-Free, organic, ethic and baby sections. The prices are average. Applying for a store club card is a pain in the butt- but the cashiers will use the store card if you don't feel like waiting. Also, PLEASE check out the pictures of the department managers- seafood and meat look like they could kick some serious ass. I get a laugh EVERY time I look. read more

I used to love this giant , but since Covid hit they've had nothing in stock . I've been forced to go down shop rite and find so much more there . Also , If you do the pick up here at Giant they always forget to give me my bags . I'm always missing 1 to 2 bags of items I've ordered and paid paid . read more

I shop at the Giant in Aston, PA regularly. Just want to say I am ALWAYS greeted politely and given a cleaned cart by the employee at the door. I believe his name is Trevor. He always wears a mask. Masking and having a clean cart during this time of Covid is a must when shopping, especially for food. This young man does a great job!! read more

Really excellent customer service and nice employees, but I have now on more than one occasion gone home with with moldy produce (e.g. inside of a bell pepper, spread throughout grapes). I have also noticed that increasingly, the shelves are stocked with expired items. I hope this all can be attributed to the fact that they are undergoing renovations and are too pressed to properly monitor their shelves, but if this continues, I will have to find a new store. read more

With little competition, I feel prices are higher than at the Brookhaven PA store, where they are competing with a ShopRite and an Aldi. Also there is a problem IMO with the cleaning staff of the Women's Restroom. Have reported it twice and it somewhat got clean but you could tell that the person was not happy about it. Stains on the stall walls, a petri dish of germs for sure. Also the Handicap stall has been " OUT OF ORDER " since we moved up here in February !!! read more

A pretty regular grocery store. Crowded on Sundays. A self-checkout register or two is usually broken. Bunch of aisles of food and other things you need on a weekly basis. Decent produce and a variety of grocery items. The store is clean but a bit disorganized, in my opinion. It is hit or miss at this location whether or not you get in a check out lane with a chipper and happy cashier or a cashier who is uninterested in customer care. I love Giant for their gluten free section and they have surprisingly they have good sushi in the deli.

"Jo", or I assume Mary-jo asked me for my Giant card as I approached the check out line. She is an older woman I replied I would like to o it at the end because I like to see the savings drop off. Well, her ROLLING HER EYES AT ME in response was just about the rudest and last thing I expected! She did not attempt to even try and help me bag any of my medium size grocery load and when she gave me my receipt did not say one word or even smile. Any time I have seen her working a checkout line I switch to another as to not run into her cuddly and shining personality again. read more

This is a very convenient store. It's clean, has a lot of parking, and is near a lot of other places in town that you might run to for errands. It is 24 hours, which is also very helpful. The biggest perk of this location is that there is a gas station associated with it right across the street. I save so much money with my points here, and the gas is reasonably priced as well. read more

I have always loved Giant, you can't beat the gas points, but lately there has been a change of staff and I find the customer service lacking and, at times, down right rude. Also they seem to have gotten higher in price; for a family on a budget I find it hard to shop there and get everything I need. read more

Salad bar was half empty at five today and what remained was yellow. Do you know how long it takes cauliflower to oxidize? Many hours. When I complained it took them another half hour to find the girl. When she came out she refreshed the cucumbers and disappeared again. read more
