This is my Trader Joe's and I like it. They serve a couple of samples in the back, but I miss the days when they served coffee in thedixie cups so you could get a sense of how each bean tastes on a weekly basis. This place is hit or miss on having the TikTok type items, but they serve all the solid stuff you always want to buy. The parking is a night mare on weekends, so make our visits on the weekdays. I like this particular TJ's because once I was in line buying a pancake bread loaf. The cashier asked me if I ever tried the gluten free muffins, and I said I would try it next time. The cashier walked away, grabbed a container of them and said, "Here, my gift to you." Nice. I took it home and holy moly, it was freaking delicious, and I'm not health food concious type, but I like food to taste good and that muffin was so good that now I always get it when I see it. That's the kind of service I like- not that I hope to always get free food, but the passion in the guy's eyes as he wanted to share his discovery with someone he thought could appreciate it. Could you imagine if when you go to any store, the employees had that kind of passion and fervor about what they sell? This store has been open since 2009 so to be fair it's run down and things need maintenance. But I've been in Trader Joe's stores since the start in the early 90s in Southern CA. So I have some perspective. The vibe is really off in this store with the elderly who give no F's about your space or time but take their sweet sweet time, even turning their cart around on the same aisle. That's not the stores fault. Here's the thing I've noticed over the last year. Almost every employee has an odor, body odor. Sometimes it can blind you. It's really terrible to be near food, trying to buy food, all of the above and have stinky people all over. I've abandoned my shopping experience a few times. There's been one cashier that was on another planet while checking me out and couldn't figure out how to put items into a tote bag, but the many other cashiers and the manager I interacted with were all great and knew their jobs well. There's been a couple times they've been sold out of things I wanted, but at the same time, they are continuously stocking the store. I love the premade salads here. The one cashier that was in la la land didn't charge me for something, and I caught it when I reached my destination. I told the store the next time I was there, and the cashier asked the manager if they could just write it off and give it to me for being honest. He agreed. Very nice. read more

They go the extra mile to help you find what you're looking for! This was a fairly streamlined and clean Trader Joe's location. Everything was well stocked, and there seemed to be enough employees to make sure the lines proceeded quickly. I absolutely love the mural that depicts the surroundings in the area. Like all TJ locations the seasonal items / setup will be displayed near the wine and alcohol aisle. There are so many reasons to shop at Trader Joe's. The wonderful selection of world foods that have been carefully procured, the terrific values and the perpetually upbeat and positive crew members in their Hawaiian shirts. The founder chose the store's South Seas theme way back in '67 after being inspired by, among other things, Disney's Adventureland...which just happens to also be my favorite "land" at the Happiest place on Earth. Would you shop at any store based on just a single, solitary product? If you are a wine drinker your answer going forward will be YES. No, I'm not talking about "2 buck Chuck" and no I don't drink it. Chuck that is. What I am talking about is what I believe is the best value in wine in the sub $100 category. It is the bottle with the big "33" on the label...Trentatre Rosso. This wonderful red is from the Apulia region of Southern Italy on the Adriatic Sea. The word "trentatre" means "33" in Italian and is a reference to the blend of this wine: equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Montepulciano. Essentially 33% of each. I've been drinking this wine for over a decade, and while there are differences in each vintage, I have yet to be anything less than extremely impressed. Now what if I told you that this wine is considered by many wine enthusiasts (not just me) to be the best wine value in the entire world? That it is so affordable that it could be your daily drinker? Because it is...and it really should be (your daily glass of red that is). It is just $5.99 for a 750 ML bottle. So there you have it. One single reason to head to Trader Joe's right now (although there are many more). I'll never understand teasing people with good products then discontinuing them (see: beef wellington, squirtable sweetened condensed milk, pickle mustard, etc etc). Every other time I go to TJ's I have to ask if they still carry something and I get the, "they don't make that anymore" answer. Lame. But the main reason I give it a 3 star is that some of the staff doing inventory are pretty rude. Most recently one of the staff got within one foot of my face, completely invading my space and didn't say a word. He was concentrating on the shelf, basically moving in such a way I had to back up and move around him. It was quite obnoxious. Cashiers are always nice. Sure, the prices are high, but the quality of their items is high as well. Some deals can be had, though. Today, I scored some select frozen veggies for prices lower than Winco. Like all grocery stores, in order to move inventory, food prices by categories will be discounted to move stock. It's fun to find the deals. My experience at Trader Joe's has always been far superior to any grocer that I have visited in food quality and thoughtful employees, but today they went above and beyond. When I was checking out, the friendly staff member asked how I was doing, and I mentioned how it had been difficult the past few days, since my grandmother had passed away a few days earlier. The lady helping with the bagging sympathized with me, and then told me to wait a moment while I finished checking out. As I was about to leave, she ran back with a bouquet of flowers, and told me that she was sure that my grandmother was watching over me. This absolutely made my day. Even a small act of kindness can mean the world to someone, and this meant everything to me. I'm so grateful for the wonderful staff at Trader Joe's, and I look forward to continued shopping there in the future. This Trader Joes location is what you expect when you go to a Trader Joes. The selection is pretty good and the store is about an average size. As for pricing, it's pretty low considering the quality and that most of the food is organic. The store itself was very clean. I'm only taking off a star as getting into the parking lot is kind of difficult. It is right by a freeway entrance/exit for one side and there's a big, four-way intersection near the parking lot corner. Employees at this location were very nice and even suggested some products. The COVID measures are enforce and followed well. There is signage as you go saying you need a mask and to promote social distancing. An employee also is at the door wiping down carts and baskets that are ready to go when you enter. Social distancing is also very good here. This Trader Joes is the to go place for good priced, quality organic foods in the Olympia area. read more

I can't get enough of Trader Joe's! Their flowers are so fresh, unique, and affordable- I treat myself with a bouquet almost every time I stop in here. They have some unique vegetables that I can't seem to find at any other local grocery stores like endive. I love all the meal ideas they have plus meals that are pretty much ready to go. The team is friendly, helpful, and engaging. The store is fully stocked. It's obvious that the customers appreciate everything as it makes even the most rushed hours collegial. Love this store. It's always clean and organized, a little crammed because it's a small location. However, the products are amazing, always something new and fun to try. They have so many fun seasonal items. The flowers are one of the best parts, immaculate and beautiful. Always a nice array of choices with the flowers, and they last a really long time. I needed to run in and grab some quick lunch while in a semi familiar area. Workers are all busy "fluffing" and resrocking the items. Made my purchase and as I left I was trying to readjust and dropped my chicken salad. Sorry I cursed in front of the store but I accidently dropped the salad. Landing upside down and with the bottom popped off food exposed. A worker (so sorry I did not think to get her name) saw and quickly offered to replace it! I thought that I was at a loss, but she saw I was carrying my infant in her car seat and I couldn't buy another. Her offer of help was a breath of fresh air, especially in today's crazy world. read more

I always stop in at this location on my way up north! They have what I consider to be a better selection and rotation of flowers than at most locations, and it's a large enough store so there's always a lot in stock. I stopped in the day after Valentine's Day and the very friendly employees warmly encouraged me to grab a bouquet of roses on my way out, as they had a surplus that hadn't been purchased due to the excess snow we'd gotten, and thus were giving them away. It was exceptional, and the bouquet made my day (and my mother's, as it shortly made its way to her.) Beyond that, their employees are kind and helpful and I find myself returning here over other locations whenever I can. read more

This Trader Joe's is a five minute walk from my apartment, but I honestly avoid the store as much as I can because almost all of the cashiers are insufferably rude. There was one time where the cashier only said 'that's all' as he was handing me my receipt and I made a mental note that this was the best experience I've had shopping at this store. Somehow the Joes at the front of the store just can't figure out how not to be passive aggressive and aggravated. I don't normally shop here ONLY because it's on the other side of town for me, but my brother and sis-in-law were wanting me to pick up a few items for them before I visit them (3-hours away). They don't have a Trader Joe's near their home and really miss it. I am extremely happy with the service at this location. I couldn't find an item and the gentleman who assisted me was incredibly nice. The check-out clerk was equally nice. Pros: So many to list here, but great service and products. Cons: Too chaotic, but that just means business is good and people love the products and service. If you're wondering what my brother and SIL had to have me bring, it is the orange chicken (non-vegan one) and chocolate chip cookie dough. I bought myself a bag of the orange chicken for dinner tonight and it was pretty tasty. My 4-year old son thought it was too spicy, but it really didn't have any spice. I have yet to make the cookies I also bought myself, but I have heard good things about them and during the holidays the gentleman who helped me mentioned they would have more holiday cookie dough options too. read more

Today I accidentally took a bunch that had ONE flower with a broken stems to the cashier.
