    Gonna give this a try

This is my Trader Joe's and I like it. They serve a couple of samples in the back, but I miss the days when they served coffee in thedixie cups so you could get a sense of how each bean tastes on a weekly basis. This place is hit or miss on having the TikTok type items, but they serve all the solid stuff you always want to buy. The parking is a night mare on weekends, so make our visits on the weekdays. I like this particular TJ's because once I was in line buying a pancake bread loaf. The cashier asked me if I ever tried the gluten free muffins, and I said I would try it next time. The cashier walked away, grabbed a container of them and said, "Here, my gift to you." Nice. I took it home and holy moly, it was freaking delicious, and I'm not health food concious type, but I like food to taste good and that muffin was so good that now I always get it when I see it. That's the kind of service I like- not that I hope to always get free food, but the passion in the guy's eyes as he wanted to share his discovery with someone he thought could appreciate it. Could you imagine if when you go to any store, the employees had that kind of passion and fervor about what they sell? Not doing it to increase sales but because they love a bite and they want you to love it too. LOVE THAT!!! That alone took what I thought was going to be a three star review into a five star review.

    My bouquet!!

I just moved out here from Maui so I was stoked to come to a Trader Joe's! Buzzy rang me up and she was a rockstar!!! Since it was my first time I got a free little bouquet of flowers (the rumors are true!) There's really good food and wine at reasonable prices. Everyone was so friendly! The store was really clean and staff was efficiently stocking everything. I will definitely be making this one of the regular places on my grocery route!

This was a fairly streamlined and clean Trader Joe's location. Everything was well stocked, and there seemed to be enough employees to make sure the lines proceeded quickly. I absolutely love the mural that depicts the surroundings in the area. Like all TJ locations the seasonal items / setup will be displayed near the wine and alcohol aisle. One surprise was the vast beer selection in this location. Be sure to check it out if you are looking for some brews.

    Trentatre Rosso...Get this!

There are so many reasons to shop at Trader Joe's. The wonderful selection of world foods that have been carefully procured, the terrific values and the perpetually upbeat and positive crew members in their Hawaiian shirts. The founder chose the store's South Seas theme way back in '67 after being inspired by, among other things, Disney's Adventureland...which just happens to also be my favorite "land" at the Happiest place on Earth. Would you shop at any store based on just a single, solitary product? If you are a wine drinker your answer going forward will be YES. No, I'm not talking about "2 buck Chuck" and no I don't drink it. Chuck that is. What I am talking about is what I believe is the best value in wine in the sub $100 category. It is the bottle with the big "33" on the label...Trentatre Rosso. This wonderful red is from the Apulia region of Southern Italy on the Adriatic Sea. The word "trentatre" means "33" in Italian and is a reference to the blend of this wine: equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Montepulciano. Essentially 33% of each. I've been drinking this wine for over a decade, and while there are differences in each vintage, I have yet to be anything less than extremely impressed. Now what if I told you that this wine is considered by many wine enthusiasts (not just me) to be the best wine value in the entire world? That it is so affordable that it could be your daily drinker? Because it is...and it really should be (your daily glass of red that is). It is just $5.99 for a 750 ML bottle. So there you have it. One single reason to head to Trader Joe's right now (although there are many more). You'll want to pick up a case of Trentatre, raise your glass and then join me in a prayer that this Unicorn of wines never disappears from the shelves of TJ's! Cheers!

My experience at Trader Joe's has always been far superior to any grocer that I have visited in food quality and thoughtful employees, but today they went above and beyond. When I was checking out, the friendly staff member asked how I was doing, and I mentioned how it had been difficult the past few days, since my grandmother had passed away a few days earlier. The lady helping with the bagging sympathized with me, and then told me to wait a moment while I finished checking out. As I was about to leave, she ran back with a bouquet of flowers, and told me that she was sure that my grandmother was watching over me. This absolutely made my day. Even a small act of kindness can mean the world to someone, and this meant everything to me. I'm so grateful for the wonderful staff at Trader Joe's, and I look forward to continued shopping there in the future. To the lady employed by Trader Joe's with the long, curly hair, the American flag bandanna, the star earrings in the color of the American flag...thank you so much. This meant more to me than you could know.

This Trader Joes location is what you expect when you go to a Trader Joes. The selection is pretty good and the store is about an average size. As for pricing, it's pretty low considering the quality and that most of the food is organic. The store itself was very clean. I'm only taking off a star as getting into the parking lot is kind of difficult. It is right by a freeway entrance/exit for one side and there's a big, four-way intersection near the parking lot corner. Employees at this location were very nice and even suggested some products. The COVID measures are enforce and followed well. There is signage as you go saying you need a mask and to promote social distancing. An employee also is at the door wiping down carts and baskets that are ready to go when you enter. Social distancing is also very good here. This Trader Joes is the to go place for good priced, quality organic foods in the Olympia area.

Typical Trader Joe's. Always very busy and the aisles are smaller that other TJs but everything else is "normal".

Some cleaning would go a long way. We purchased some cheeses, crackers, yogurts, falafel wraps, and miscellaneous snacks. I was hoping to get some baked goods as well but everything looked dry and stale. The prices were higher then we would pay elsewhere but that is to be expected. What wasn't expected was the flavor and quality of the items we purchased. We were very disappointed. It is important to support local but the payoff for the higher prices is typically higher quality and better service and unfortunately that was not our experience here.

Today, a man with a long unkempt beard and a dog half his height (unleashed) were walking the aisles. I complained to customer service about this. This is a filthy habit in a grocery store where there is food, food in open containers (bulk items) meat and produce. The manager (a black middle-aged female) and a security person, approached the man and recieved the same excuse, that it is a security animal. The manager allowed him to continue shopping. I then complained to the manager about WINCO practices. The manager then threatened to have me thrown out of the store. I am a senior citizen, older WHITE male with white hair. Tell me this is not DISCRIMINATION. We older white men are targets for discriminatory hatred among black females. This is a matter that needs to be addressed. That manager needs to find work elsewhere. No customer should be treated that way for complaining about store policy. WINCO - LACEY is going to become a homeless encampment, and I guess that is ok. Every type of behavior and all people, except older white men, are welcome/with their animals, at the "not so diverse" WINCO-LACEY. White men/older white men are being marginalized by black females. That is a fact. DISCRIMINATION should not be allowed. This behavior of the black, female WINCO store manager should not be tolerated . Corporate should do something about this. Corporate has been notified. This doesn't end with a Yelp review.

However, I feel that the Pacific Avenue location's crowdedness makes it a little more fun to discover all the little culinary surprises the store has hidden away. What this location has in favor of it was one little wedge of cheese that we've been looking for forever since we moved to Washington State- a wedge of Brillat Savarin. For me, there is no other brie. One time I was at the Cheese Board Collective in Berkeley to find a blue cheese from Asturias when I saw the Brillat Savarin and insisted my mom get it for a party. She asked why the big deal and I said that it's the closest thing a cheese can get to butter. The cheesemonger standing in front of us looked up from his cheese sorting, looked us with crazy eyes and whispered, "No. It IS butter." He then stopped what he was doing to spread out a runny dab for her on a cracker and my mom saw the light. We were so excited about finally finding this cheese when other people heard my sister singing its' praises and they wanted it. There was only one wedge left, so my sister gracefully let another man have it. I mean, how else do you spread the gospel and make converts until other people have had their own spiritual experience. So we'll be back again with the hope that they restock.
