The customer service at Trader Joe's is far above par. Kevin helped me find the bone broth I needed and then helped me at the checkout. Check out the seasonal favorites and fresh flowers. They are always a huge hit!

One of the city's two Trader Joe's is here in Stone Oak; a practically guaranteed location given the neighborhood's infamous yuppie status. While it may lack the bells and whistles of other TJ's, it has everything else that folks would want: solid produce, quality organic options, and superior customer service. It's by no means the biggest store, but it's definitely clean and organized. Things are easy to find and inventory rarely seems to be an issue; I've been fortunate enough to all I need every time I'm here. Fans of the brand are sure to find their favorites, along with some interesting seasonal items. I also am fond of their flower section, which seems to change with every store visit. When in doubt, go on a weekday. The weekends are a bit of a zoo and given the tight parking lot, it can be a slight chore trying to find a spot near the store. Lastly, no location is better than the staff that manages it and this location has a pretty awesome group of employees taking care of it. Service is everything and for Trader Joe's, it's the cherry on top.

The store itself has the right idea and I love it. The prices are really reasonable and can be cheaper than the leading Texas grocery store. The eggs were the cheapest when egg prices spiked and they remain the same price. Also their beef birria is really good and I've heard plenty of other good things about their frozen meals. Cashiers are always friendly and fast. But the store is always packed and the parking lot is small and almost always crowded. Only downside. If you get their sparkling lemonade (pictured) you can't taste your tequila :)

Great store! Great location! Just moved to SA & thrilled that there's a Trader Joe's close by. Store was clean & inviting, the staff was friendly!

The best grocer in San Antonio. I've been going to Trader Joe's (the quarry location) for over a decade and was admittedly sad that I wasn't going to be able to see the familiar faces that I've grown up with. But today, the stone oak location stole my heart. Kevin was so gracious and exceeded my expectations. TJ's always has the best variety of goods and the BEST PEOPLE. Also look a these little ranunculus and garden roses. So beautiful!

First timer here ! This store is so cute ! I absolutely love the flower options they have very different! Many different food options I definitely to plan on going back to pick up and try. Prices very not to bad .Very busy, fast service. Cashiers are very friendly and helpful to get you out quick.

I love it at this Trader Joe's !! Everyone is always so cheerful and so nice. I come here at least 2 times a week. I always used to think it was so expensive to shop here and I'm sure alot of others felt that way but for the product you get, it's really not. Definitely works on a budget. So on this day I decided to stock up on my favorites which include dumplings and goodies. I picked up my favorite ice cream and tiramisu. I've been wanting to try forever. I love when I go it's not to packed and again I love asking for recommendations. On this day it just also happened to be my birthday and the manager said for my birthday I would get free flowers. They are so beautiful. See you guys again next week. Appreciate everyone's help and that when you ask for help someone will always go out of their way.

We're so glad that we have a Trader Joe's on our side of town. A few visits ago, I discovered a variety of cheeses. They were all delicious and reasonably priced. A couple of weeks ago, we stopped by to buy an orchid plant to gift my brother in law. We ended up also getting cage-free eggs, yogurt smoothies, organic cold-pressed juice among other things. This week I was so happy to have gotten the cat advent calendar for my cats. I was a little bummed to find out that the dog advent calendars were already sold out.

    My goodies!

Ask the Community - Trader Joe's

Does this location have the sesame covered almond and the savory thin crackers? Those are my favorites and haven't bought them in awhile. Is it still around?

I'm here now and they savory thin crackers. I do not see sesame covered almonds. They do have sesame covered cashews.

Did you know that you can legally drink alcohol out in the open along the Riverwalk? You can't have an open container while walking around at street level, but on the river, it's all good! One option would be to get a drink at the local bars, which tends to be expensive, and they're not generally happy with you running off with their glassware. Therefore, going to Lucky's is always a good option! You can grab a quart or a tallboy here, get it in the paper bag if you insist on drinking on street level, but you don't need it for the Riverwalk! Drink up, buddy! This place seems to sell a lot of crap! They have a variety of San Antonio souvenirs- t-shirts, hats, and such. I didn't see anything I needed. When I went, there were a couple of homeless folks in here. One was buying a fake rose packaged in a glass tube, and steel wool. Hmmm... The beer was cold, but they didn't have the sizes that I'd prefer for drinking on the Riverwalk. Buying a six pack rarely makes sense when you can keep buying individual beers, since the six-pack will get warm in the Texas heat quickly. There are better options around here for what you wanna get from here- there's a Walgreens down the street, and a CVS down the river. There's zero parking for this place.

Half of the market was closed off, but something new that popped up near the front of the store was a coffee/smoothie bar. We stopped in for a quick to go order of a coffee, pastry, and smoothie. I loved the fact that there is an option to make your own. I was able to choose my base, 2 fruit options, and a veggie. I chose - blueberry, strawberry, (comes with a banana), spinach, and almond milk. Perfect! Healthy and fresh. The girl behind the counter was friendly and accommodating. There's also a gelato bar. So they just re did a portion of the store to expand their ready made foods. My husband and I go in to get a couple of sandwiches. We've done it before for little weekend picnics, but my bread was so tough today it wasn't really pleasant. It felt like it had been left in the fridge section for too long. Then we knew the brisket and prepared meats weren't going to be ready until 4, we had asked one of the employees there and they told us it'd be ready at 4. We ordered a couple of sides for dinner and both of the sides were labeled incorrectly. One of them triple the price of what the item should have costed. We came back at 4 and then were informed the brisket might be out actually closer to 5. What? Why tell us 4 and then push it to another hour? We decided to leave and check out and at the checkout lane I noticed they started putting the meat out?? Did they just not want to serve us?? Their customer service specifically was rude but our cashier who helped us with the overpriced ticketed items was nice and helpful. It just doesn't feel good to be treated with disrespect and to basically be lied to because the same guy who said it wouldn't be out until 5 literally started to put out the meat as soon as we walked away. Weird, random, and I hated it.
